Kayden wondered around the fifth floor of the building wondering where everybody was. It wasn't time for people to head home for the holidays quite yet so he was suprised he didn't pass anyone in the halls that afternoon. He looked out the window near him to see the bright sun and the green fields and wondered how much snow was waiting for him back home, of course he might not even go home to see the snow this year.

Continuing down the hallway Kayden stopped to look at some of the moving piantings as he went. A couple tried to old a conversation with him, but he was to shy to even talk to piantings. He had that odd muggle feeling that if he talked to pictures like they were real people who laugh at him and call him odd and strange, which neither he was, but he didn't feel like risking the odds.

Jamie was so glad that classes were over and he was also excited for his upcoming vacation at the castle, Jamie had no where to go and little to worry about during his upcoming break. However he was going to miss all of the few friends he had that were going home but he realized that people had lifes out side of the castle and over the summer he would have to find somewhere to stay. Jamie decided to wonder the halls to simply have something to do and so that is how he found himself on the fifth floor.

Jamie was lost in thoughts when he heard the other boy that was on the abandon floor, he seem harmless enough as he looked at the moving pictures on the wall. The pictures in the magical world had the power of speech and movement which took Jamie along time to understand and come to terms with but after that he had held a few conversations with a rather famous samurai photo on a different floor. Jamie decided that he coul d at least say hi to the young man.

"Hi, it is odd how the photos here refuse to remain lifeless but as the living memories of those that had created them and who they embodied." jamie said as he put his hands behind his back like his master use to do when addressing someone with courteous and patience.

Kayden turned at the voive of another boy on the floor. He wasn't sure who he was but he didn't seem anything like a bully, and Kayden knew he did need friends outside of his sister's circle. Of course there was the problem that this kid could already be in his sister's cirlce of friends and he wouldn't know about it. "Oh, yeah. They are kind of strange, really. I mean I grew up muggle so they are kind of new to me. You know the cameras they use take moving pictures in a snap shot. So newspapers have moving pictures as well, that is very strange," he stated lowering his voice whenever he said something that the paintings could take as a rude remark. Kayden looked back to the paintings hopeful that they didn't hear what he had said.

"I grew up muggle as well but where I grew up we only had paintings that were done by hand as it showed a sign of skill and talent to be able to control the strokes of a brush. It helped in swordmanship as well and so it was encouaraged, but I see that even in the muggle world I am a little bit of an oddity having grown up where I did. My names is James but you can call me Jamie and I am a gryffindor!" Jamie said as he looked at the pictures on the wall with the young man. Jamie hoped that the boy was not one of the mean kids from slytherin who have been picking on people or and upper class man who was bullying the younger students or Jamie would have to on his gaurd.

Kayden nodded and briefly wondered actually where it was the boy grew up. "I'm Kayden, I'm an oddball where I'm from as well. The only white boy on the reserv. My sister fit in with her tanning skills and dark hair, but I'm just some blonde white kid to most of the people there. You can call me Red if you wish or Kayden works. Red Wolf is my native name alot of people here like using it, and it makes me less homesick for some odd reason. Hufflepuff first year," he added at the end. It was most likely the most he said to anyone during the entire first semester at once.

"White boy, what an odd way to describe someone but again where I am from we do not use such sayings, I shall call you red if you do not mind. So what is a Reserve and is it a nice place to live? I have not heard the word used as a place before and since Japan and New Zealand are the only place that I have been I am slowly trying to learn about the world outside of my guilded cage." Jamies said as he sat on the floor and leaned his back against the cold stone wall, it was comforting to know that he had some stability in his life.

Kayden nodded thinking about how cool it must have been to grown up in Japan. "Well, back long ago white people came to America and they didn't like the natives or 'indians', so they continuely pushed them farther west till their was no more places for us to go. So through effort and wars we gained small sections of our land back called reservations, where it's just for Native Americans to live, and people like them because its not technically part of the USA so we don't have tax so ciggerates and the like are much cheaper," he said looking around as he spoke. It was hard for him to get used to so much talking at once, considering before he came here his last speech was about the amount he would say in a day. "Is Japan very nice?" He questioned, trying to turn the conversation to Jamie, so he could get to know him as well.

James listened to the young man speak about his homeland and was shocked that one group of people could do such a thing to another group with little to no care for the groups well being. However Japan had its onw dark past that he was not proud of but still had to learn from regardless." Japan is a beautiful place which has a foot in the future and a hand in the past, I did not get to see much of my own country as I was raised in a monastery with monks. I learned the traditional arts from my teachers such as fighting and writing as well as showing the proper respect to the world. It was fun living there but i am no longer able to go back and live." Jamie said as he felt the pain of loniliness creap in again, it was hard not being able to go back to the temple and live out the rest of his day in peace but he knew that he was no longer apart of that world and would never be again.

Kayden looked over at the other boy. He sense his saddness but that was something Georgiana would be able to fix in a heart beat, not him. He wanted to ask why he couldn't go back, but he sense it had something to do with being a wizard and didn't want to pry into the boys life. "Life isn't the best to people who deserve it sometimes," he said trying to help but unsure if it was the right thing to say. "Have you made many friends Jamie?" Kayden asked trying to get the boys mind off of Japan.
