Susie had saved the most interesting rose til last. One for Professor Kaster. She'd never spoken to him before - he was one of the upper years professors, in an elective she wasn't taking. That was a bit of a shame. A couple of years ago, she'd been sure Care of Magical Creatures would be the first class she signed up to, but when the time had come to choose, it didn't excite her any more. It was quite strange coming down here, where his classes were held. Made her wonder if she might have enjoyed it after all. She smiled as she approached him. "Hi, Professor," she said, suddenly feeling a bit awkward. "It's Valentine's Day..."
@Professor Benjamin Kaster II

Ben was busy with fixing what he needed to deal with for the next sixth years lesson, merpeople were so interesting, but it was sometimes difficult to get things organised. He looked up when he heard one of the students approaching. She wasn't one he was overtly familiar with since he didn't teach the lower years, but he'd seen her around. He thought she might have been a roommate of Prim's, one she talked about when she was down here. "Yes it is, Happy Valentine's!" He wished he could recall her name, he felt bad not knowing how best to address her.

Susie smiled, pulling a rose out of her basket. Why did it have to be a red one? That was, like, the worst color to have to give a professor. "It's not from me, sir," she clarified quickly, as she offered it. "I'm just delivering."
love finley

Ben laughed slightly at her as she seemed to become a little awkward at the prospect of a red rose. To put her quickly out of her misery, he took it and read it. "Ah, it's from my son, lovely. Thank you for delivering this to me. I hope the rest of your deliveries go as smoothly as this one did."

Phew - it was a signed one. Susie grinned. "Thank you, sir," she said. She considered staying to ask about his class, but she was way too unprepared. Anyway, she didn't have time for another elective. She was already struggling. "Have a nice day!"
