Rebecca Koshiba was grumpy. She was hungry, but she didn't want to get out of bed yet to go to the Great Hall and get food. That required energy. Something she seemed to lack this morning. She was refusing to even open her eyes, something she did all the time back at Eden's, she would usually just send Pita in to wake her up, but right now - she suddenly remembered - she was not at Eden's, she was in Hogwarts, in her dorm room trying futilely to stay asleep. However it did not seem to be working and Bex eventually got out of bed, realising that it was quite impossible for her to actually stay in there all day. Not if she wanted to eat in any case. So, she got out of bed, noticing that most of her dorm-mates were up and about already. She shrugged it off, she mostly ran at her own pace anyway, she didn't really like talking and they pretty much figured that out within the first five minutes of meeting her. She didn't mind Paige though, she did get annoyed when Paige kept finding new ways of making her stay in any given conversation, but she kind of liked that Paige cared enough to want to talk to her. Though she did like her peace and quiet, that was usually where Alan came in. With him taking all of Paige's attentions, Bex could easily sneak away to somewhere way more peaceful. The only problem arose when she ran into that Dexter kid. He was far, far too excitable for Bex's taste and the blonde's tended to rub each other the wrong way. As easy as that was though, Bex was sure that the other blonde was trying to annoy her out of spite for something she had done in a previous life. She really just did not like that boy at all. He was stupid and annoying.

As Bex walked out of the common room and sighed, she had no energy today and she thought it might have something to do with the fact that she just had not gone to sleep that night. She had been finding it hard to sleep since getting here. She wasn't used to sharing a room with anyone. Now she was sharing with a whole group. She wasn't even used to seeing kids her own age around. Now she was surrounded by them. Classes were due to start soon and Bex had to wonder whether or not she was going to be ready for this. She was so involved in her own thoughts that she did not even notice that she had stopped in the middle of a hall until she bumped right into someone. She frowned and looked up to see a boy about her own age standing in front of her. Nice. She bumped into some-one, though it was probably both their fault to be honest. Seeing as she had been brought up a specific way, she looked him in the eye and bowed her head slightly before him. The appropriate degree for an apology. Damn them Japanese instructors. So damn proper. "I apologise. That was careless of me." She stated, before waiting patiently for the reply.

Sorry it's not that good xD

Benjamin Metzger was not used to being away from his dad and his sister for so long. His dad on the other hand had his kids traveled with him, but having a nanny around seemed nice too. The nanny was also caring for Dietrich’s half-sister which made her his aunt. She was at first really rude, but somehow the nanny really turned that around and made Benjamin’s life a little easier. Benjamin was roaming the dungeons at this point, dressed in his school uniform that he thought that he looked good in. He hoped that no one would have recognized him as Part-Veela, or worse, the son of the man that was very public with his boyfriend at one point. That would be a little hard to explain. Plus he thought that his dad was interested in a girl, the one that he had met in the park and had ice cream with. She was really cool, and also pretty. He hoped that his dad would ask her out or become more interested in her. Benjamin continued to walk through the dungeons, but he reached into his robes and pulled out his wand and a book from his messenger bag. He started to read his potions book. It was good to get a little ahead. He was not taught a lot of the magic stuff while he was at home. He learned a lot more about Quidditch than any of the core subjects. He liked Quidditch, but he was not the big fan of it. He probably got that from his mother over anyone else. He did not see much of her nowadays, but he knew that she was with another woman, thus making him one of the few kids that had two mothers.

Benjamin thought that he had done enough studying with potions, but he wanted to read on, and he did not even notice what was going on in his surroundings. He could hear footsteps but he did not know how close they were. In fact, he did not notice anything until he felt someone bump into him enough to make him drop the book he was holding. He had bumped into a girl. He did not even see her bow her head, and he did not say anything until he bent down and picked up his book. He dusted it off and he looked at the girl before recognizing her from the Slytherin meeting. She apologized and said that it was careless of her. Well, he was not paying attention either while walking and reading so it was partly his fault too. That meant he had to apologize to her. “I guess I am sorry too. I was reading and walking, and that usually spells disaster.” He shrugged his lean shoulders and wondered if there was anything else for him to say. He honestly did not know, and he was a little on the quiet side anyway. He would not talk to someone unless they continued to talk to him. He would talk to her, but only if she would continue. Otherwise, he would put his book away, and wand, and go on his own way.

Rebecca was slightly shocked when the boy in front of her went on to accept half of the responsibility. She was less then used to such manners, though she supposed it was what one would call common sense. Something that many people in this school seemed to lack. She knew him from the Slytherin meeting, and she might have seen him during sorting, of course she had not exactly been paying much attention at the time. She stepped out of everyones way, and closer to the wall, before examining the boy again. He was blonde, like herself and he was taller then she was, not that she was all that surprised, she wasn't exactly the tallest for her age. He had a kind of aura about him that she didn't understand. She tilted her head to look at him. She was kind of excited that he had manners, and common sense. Not many people did of course. "I am not used to people who take responsibility. It is a welcome distraction." She told him as she looked at the book he was holding. She didn't normally like to talk to people, but this boy didn't seem like he would be too bad to speak with. She didn't mind hat he didn't seem to be much of a talker either, but she didn't mind, maybe they could have a silent encounter. It would not be the first time she had done such a thing. Not at all.

She looked at his book again. It was curious. She wanted to know what it was, but there was not much else she could think of saying at this point. Things were difficult enough as it was. She shook her head, not quite smiling, but her lips did curl up. She looked at the book. Why had he even been walking whilst reading anyway. She looked around her, the corridor wasn't exactly crowded, but it wasn't like it was empty either. "What is that book you are reading. You seem to have been focusing quite intently on it." She asked as she looked back at him. She was really rather interested in knowing what had caused him to stop concentrating on the environment around him. It was odd, though she could not say that she had been concentrating, but it was mostly because she was so tired. Perhaps this boy was also tired?
