It's only in your head

Everything was happening fast, but time was so slow to cope up with everything that just happened. As she wrapped her hand with the scarf that Devlin handed, the bleeding stopped and for one moment she felt relieved. Looking at him, he could somewhat read his mind and by not using Legilimency of course but through his gestures. He was obviously confused and mad at her, which made it reasonable since he wasn't the type of guy to actually care. Mizelea heard him say something, like not returning her scarf. She thought it to be a nice thing to say, at least she had a souvenir of him. She'll probably wash it when she get back to Beauxbaton and keep it under her pillow for some weird reasons. The brunette shook her head as she kept on hearing Devlin utter some weird, she knew he was worried at some point.

Mizelea was surprised when he reached for her other hand, grabbing her hand as if he wanted to pull him away from the place. "I'll be heading back to Beauxbatons." she answered in a weak voice. Her excitement and joyous mood all gone, she wasn't sure if he'll actually accompany her back to her school. Nor did she could believe he wanted to or was he just forced by pity, it didn't matter as long as she could co back to her school. She could feel his hands, holding hers as his skin was warm. She slowly curled her hands, trying to follow where Devlin was going to take her. Mizelea continued to look at his face, he looked so mad at the world, his forehead wrinkled with disgrace.

"Tell me where it is." Those words came as an order. Devlin didn't even know why he was doing this. Why he was obviously telling her that he would accompany her to where it was that she was headed. Their interaction with each other was supposed to have ended years ago. They weren't supposed to meet again. She wasn't supposed to confuse him again with that overly positive and happy attitude of hers. She wasn't supposed to be there, and he wasn't supposed to care. He wanted to leave her alone, yet he can't. He wanted to just forget this day, yet, here he was, holding her arm. He wanted to not care, yet he would bring her to her destination. If there would be someone that could be crowned as a king of hypocrisy, it would have been him.

He pulled at the smaller girl, not really sure about where it was that he was supposed to be going. People are already looking at them, there are even some who would utter commentaries saying that they are a couple, those people just received a cold glare from him. These people are just so annoying with their whispers and nonsense talking. He pulled at the girl's arm harder, determined to just leave that annoying place. "Where is that d@mn Beauxbatons?" He really doesn't know where that school was located, he wasn't supposed to know about it anyways. No one in his family had even bothered about the school. After all, for them, it was just a school full of snotty and pretentious people. People that they do not need at all. "D@mn, just d@mn this thing.." He continued, strings of curses followed. His mind was telling him that what he was doing was wrong, but his actions betray everything that his mind was saying.

There was something in her head that wanted to just ran away from Devlin, still she insisted on staying him. Mizelea wasn't sure if she was even allowed to tell where their school was, as a Prefect she didn't wanted to break any rules. Also in hopes of becoming a Head Girl, Mizelea shook her head and frowned a little. "I can't, just drop me off to the next corner." she said to him. As she tried to slowly push herself up to lift her little body, she needed to walk on her own even it means passing out on the street. The brunette's eyes flinched as she could feel Devlin's grip was too tight, she wanted to pull away and so she did. "I can take care of myself." she insisted,as she pulled away and jump down to the ground. Slowly she began to stand but could hear her body screaming for energy, enduring the pain of her hand she continued to walk.

Until her body gave up a couple of block away, Beauxbaton was still away. Mizzy didn't want to trouble anyone, not ever. She inhaled some air and tried to walk as she can, then glanced back at Devlin. A smile spread her face, even though she was so weak, Mizelea still had the power to smile. Holding her bloody hand wrapped in Devlin's scarf, she made her way and turned back to Devlin one more. "Thank You." the girl said, smiling purely at him as she took one step and fell down on the ground. But she managed to get a hold of herself and slowly stood up, there were a couple of muggles staring at her but she didn't mind. As he main goal was to return back to Beauxbaton and straight to the clinic or something.

The girl's actions just annoyed the young Howard even more. Here he was, obviously confused and angry at himself for supposedly helping her reach her destination, and then what she'll do is to brush everything off? It's not like he wanted to do it too, h3ck, he can't even understand why he was still here. Why he was still tolerating this girl even if it was pretty obvious that she was just giving him headaches, and even if he was supped to not care about her at all. He didn't want to show any kind of weakness too, he could just leave her alone there after all, but no, despite not wanting to have anything to do with the girl at all, Devlin was here, ordering her to tell him where she's head so he can take her then. And what will he get in return? A rejction? D@mn NO. These thoughts were interrupted however, when the said girl had just released herself from his grip and continued to walk by herself. So, this is how she wanted it then? Then so be it.

Devlin remained on where he was standing, pinching the bridge of his nose once more as he told himself to just leave, just leave her alone. This might be good too. After all, he had wanted her out of his sight since the very beginning right? HE wanted to just forget everything about her. So, he walking out on him might be good after all, despite it not being his nature to let anyone walk out on him instead of him doing the said act. He was about to turn on his heel and go on his way when his eyes caught sight of the smile of hers once more. That annoying smile again. H3ll, she was already this weak and yet, she would still smile? She really is crazy. Her words had gotten him confused even more. And that confusion turned to annoyance as he saw her fell. Against his own will, though knowing that this is not what he was supposed to do, Devlin marched on his way towards the weakened girl. The way he walk exerts this kind of power, as if he's telling everyone to not mess with him at all, not that it wasn't that obvious yet though. With another glare thrown at the said girl's direction, he grabbed her uninjured arm once more. "D@mn, you really are weak. Stop trying to act tough stupid." He said, pulling her once more. Muggles are already gathering around, looking at them as if they were some sort of characters from a movie. "Just mind you own d@mn business id!ots!" The annoyance coupled with the headache that was still there had been directed to the people around them. With another cold glare, the Howard pulled the young girl once more. "Take care of myself.. you can't even walk properly."

This was getting out of hands, here she is trying to walk properly when her knees would give up every thirty second. Mizelea tried to pull herself together, though it would be along walk before reaching her destination. Better take a bus or the train, she though to herself as she stopped for a while. Leaning over a wall, catching her breath, a couple of minutes were enough. After that Mizzy, gave her best to walk normally until she felt someone hurting her good arm. The last thing she had in mind is Devlin, and yet here he was pulling her. "Leave me alone!" she jerked her arm away from him. He was too strong to escape from that Mizelea pushed him away and this made her sit on the ground. She could feel her hand hurt as she sat on it upon her fall. Merlin knew she was strong but hated to having cuts and bruises, unless it was all for Quiddtich.

The sixth year then adjusted her sit and slowly stood up, she shrugged her shoulder and tried to walk away from him.Muggles were looking, but now was the wrong time to entertain them. For some reason she was loosing blood quickly, Devlin's scarf already filled with blood but it could not hold it more. Until some drops of blood spread the ground, Mizzy flinched as she saw her own blood dripping. Her eyes widen then continued to walk, turning around the corner and not caring if Devlin was still following her. Why is he even wasting his time on her? Is he guilty? Or is he affected? Different questions started to enter her mind, still she needed to focus on finding a bus. As the train station's a lot farther, she stood there need a bus stop sign, hilding her grip together. Leaning on the nearest post she could see, bloody and tired.

Devlin's patience is already reaching its limit. Alright, here he was doing something that is definitely out of his character, offering to help this stupid little girl, and what does he get? Nothing. Nothing at all. And on top of that, this weakling was trying to be so tough. If there's one person that he hates and despised more than stupid and weak people, it is those persons who are pretending to be strong, when in fact they are not. And right at this very moment, this crazy little girl was showing him everything that he disliked. She was weak. She's crazy. She's always smiling. She bugs him. She gives him headache. But what he hated the most, she's acting like she's strong. Acting like she's all too superior. Acting like she didn't want him there. H3ck. He was trying to help, no, he's trying to put her in her place so that he can cut all the connections that he has with her; if there was even any. Yet, here she was, doing anything that she feels like doing. Yes, he could just choose to leave and all just like what she wants. He would have gladly done that earlier, but right now, he can't. He's telling himself that's it's because he didn't want to follow her orders. But somehow, there's this voice telling him that it was because of another reason. Which he doesn't believe at all. What other reason could he have for him to stay there and force her to tell him where she is going? What other reason could he have why he wasn't leaving her alone other than he didn't want to give in to her orders? No. It's not the C-word. He doesn't... care about her. No. He doesn't. Just, No.

Devlin's headache intensifies once more when he felt her jerk her arm away from him. And h3ck, she even pushed him! Now, he had had enough. He won't tolerate this at all. He glared at her, annoyance evident in the way that he looks. His knuckles were turning white, and his headache is still there. He raised his fist then, but honestly, he didn't know what to do. Usually, he would beat the life of the person who would ever do such thing to him, yet, for who knows what reason, he cannot bring himself to even touch the end of the girl's hair. This is just so frustrating. He doesn't understand himself anymore. It was not him against another person, it was now him against himself. And he realized, he's hating himself even more now instead of hating the girl. He was saw her walk away from him again. And just like before, he was still rooted on his spot. The muggles were whispering among themselves, occasionally pointing at their direction. He wanted so much to snap their fingers, curse them, anything just so he could let out this frustration and hatred, but he can't. He's not becoming weak, is he? It just can't be.

He didn't want to follow her anymore, but as he saw the drops of blood leading to where she was heading, his feet started to move again. Alright. He was being insane. And it's not in the usual messed up way. His feet were moving on its own. Even against his will. Which is not possible, but he kept telling himself that it is only his feet that want to follow her, not him. And as he reached her, he saw her lean on one of the post there. Just near the.. bus station. Muggles. She looked as if she was about to die any second from the loss of blood. Something which he should have been celebrating. At least, she won't exist anymore and he didn't have to have those headache again. But despite him wanting her to just freaking leave him alone, he can't bring himself to just watch her in that condition. He frowned, and throw the sharpest glare that he could manage towards her direction. But he doubts if she could even see her now. "Just leave her alone Devlin." He told himself, but even before he could finish that sentence, he found himself walking towards her. And in a matter of second, scooped her from the ground, placing her across his shoulder, doing the fireman's lift. "Now just shut the h3ll up. D@mn.."

Mizelea didn't want to continue on further with the help of Devlin, she hated him for acting so nice when really he hated her. It was just so unfair and all confusing for her part, still she tried to remove his arm away from her. Jerking her arm, as her blood started to drop on the ground some more, making her weaker and weaker by minute. If only she could apparate right now, though she was still learning it. Mizzy didn't want her whole body to return in Beauxbaton missing some body part, it would be delirious. She took a deep breath and tried to walk some more, hopefully she can arrive in a couple of hours later on. Though Devlin's strength is no match for weak little Mizelea, as her other arms started out of exhaustion. Until she felt it will soon be her downfall, she couldn't take it anymore that the brunette fainted on Devlin's arm before even allowing herself to ride on his back.

The fifth year wasn't able to speak or move, as she lay flat on the ground. Unconscious of what was going on, Mizelea just hoped Devlin wouldn't leave her alone lying her. Even though he seems mean and arrogant, Mizzy knew that he just wanted to help her return to Beauxbaton alive and breathing. On the other hand Mizzy hoped to return there safe, as she her whole mind started to shut down for a moment. Some part of her was hallucinating or even day-dreaming. It might be that Devlin would carry her back to her school, though he would be lost and get angry at her. Then there's a possibility that he'll just leave her there to die or something that may cause her any harm. The choice was his to think or apply, since the fifth year was now useless of doing anything at the moment.

Great. Just great. Why was it that everything had to turn bad for someone like him? Sure, he wasn't good nor kind. He wasn't supposed to be like that anyways, but why was it that life had just to be so cruel at him. He wasn't exaggerating or anything cause he surely didn't like doing that, but for real. All he had ever wanted earlier was just to get some peace and quiet for himself. All he ever wanted was to have some time to enjoy if that was even the right word, the silence that wouldn't come that often in his life. Yes, for who knows what reason, things didn't go as planned. First, it was those children that are just so noisy that he had wanted to snap their necks so they could yell anymore, and then there was her. Trying to talk to him or whatever it was that she was doing. He could have just chosen to ignore her, and when she had walked away earlier, he could have just chosen to not followe her. When she was about to get hit by that passing car, he could have just let her get hit. Then everything would have turned out differently, then everything wouldn't be so bad. THen he wouldn't have to be faced with this situation. But no, that is not what he had done. And so, here he was, facing the consequences of his actions. Here he was, faced with the girl who could barely even walk to even go to her destination. He had two options again though, leave her to die, or just carry her and bring her to wherever it was that she was going. The first option would be the most logical one for someone like him. After all, like what he would always say, he's never meant to be kind. He's never meant to show compassion to someone. He's never meant to be that kid who would do something to help anyone who's in need. No. In fact, he's meant to do the opposite. He's the guy who everyone calls messed up. He's the guy who would glare at someone who would ask for his help. Yes, he was just like that. Like that that in fact, most people thinks that he would just laugh when someone is dying before him. And yet, even though he already knew what he should do, he still can't bring himself to just leave the girl there alone. No. He doesn't care for her. That's what he tells himself. But considering how she looked, she won't be able to protect herself once something happens. And so, even against his better judgment, he carried her on his back. "Damn. This would be the last time. This would never happen again. D@mn." He kept on saying under his breath as he started to walk with her on his back. This would be the last time. The very last time that he'll do something like this. He won't ever do it again. He wouldn't. Once this ended, he won't ever see her again. He'll forget everything and then everything would return to how it is supposed to be. He wouldn't dare to take a second look at someone who's in need of help again. This would be the last time. Cause if something like this happens again, he's bound to hate himself even more.

He started walking towards the direction that his mind was telling him. He doesn't have the slightest clue as to where she was heading. All he knew was that she was returning to her school. Wherever that was. "D@mn. Just where is that stupid school." He said once again as he continued to walk. He had the urge to shake the girl to consciousness just so she could tell him where it was. Just how stubborn could she get! He had asked her once, but she didn't tell him. And now, here he was, walking without any direction at all. He doesn't want to ask for people's direction. He doubt that they know it anyways. But he doesn't want to walk in circles either. Really, once this girl decides that she's willing to tell him where that d@mn school was, he'll give her a piece of his mind. He'll show her how much mistake she was making for ever trying to involve herself with him. Once all of this is over. He won't see her again, nor will she see him too. Cause after all of these too, she'll just be that single mistake that he had ever committed. She'll just be that reminder that he did something that he wasn't supposed to do. And somehow, she's bound to be forgotten as well.
