Trilby sat in the library near the very back, it was dimly lit and cold but very few of the students bothered with this part. They merely got the books they needed before going to the more comfortable seats. The window seat she was perched on was in front of a very tall stained glass window, the icicles frozen to it were beautiful. She traced her finger along their outline shivering slightly as the cold bit the tip of it. Exhaling she watched as her breath fogged up the window and she used her finger once more to trace her own delicate pattern on it.
She had lost her bestfriend ever, the boy she had actually thought she felt something for. It had been months now since she had heard anything from Carlisle and Trilby knew she should feel angered by his absence after all he promised but she felt nothing but the cold that seemed to transfer from outside to deep inside her. The closest thing she had to a best friend now was Sebastian and she was being very careful not to allow any feelings to develop there. Tucking her legs beneath her she let her head rest against the window, watching her fingers touch the freezing cold window pane.
