Taylor looked up at the clock in the common room. It was just after lunch time and she hadn't been outside at all in this day. She gasped. How was she supposed to keep her wonderful fitness if she was lazing around her bed reading some of her new first year books? This was outrageous and definately not acceptable. She flung her legs over the side of the bed and dug through her trunk to find the soccer ball she always kept in there. It was like an emergency ball. But not really, she just liked to make sure she always had one handy, for times like this. Though she did wonder if she could buy soccer balls from the muggle shop in Obsidian, it stood to reason she woould be able to, but that didn't neccessarily mean that she would be able to though. She shrugged, as long as she had this one, and the one she kept hidden in the field in Obsidian, she was good, though that would become a problem once she was in school. She was going to have to go down there and retrieve it before the school year officially started. She didn't want to leave it to get all wet and yuck. She wouldn't be able to use it then. That would be terrible. So instead Taylor chnaged into her favourtie jeans and shirt and made her way down to the Great Lawn. It was really the only place in Hogwarts that she had found that was big enough to play around in. She was far enough away from anything to accidently break it when kicking the ball, and if some-one wante to join her in a game, that was also catered for. Though she wasn't sure she would meet many soccer fans here. Most she assumed would have grown up with magic in their lives. Lucky them.

Taylor walked into the middle of the field and looked around. It was pretty much deserted today so she decided she woud just work on some basic skills. She hadn't played a full game in a few months because soccer season was during the beginning of the year but she needed some practice. Maybe if she wass lucky she would be able to play a few games with her old team if they let her. She was the captain afterall. She smiled as she began to kick the ball into the air and catch it again on various parts of her body before lifting it into the air again. It was the best way to develop reflex and depth perception. Because it could often be quite hard to catch the ball if it wasn't done right. However, Taylor's concentration slipped for a millisecond and she licked the ball too hard. It went flying towards the castle and she sprinted after it. Of course it would get nowhere near the castle but a) she didn't want to lose it and b) she didn't want it to hit someone. She would feel terrible if that happened.

Damien was delighted to be back at Hogwarts again.Even though he had had he best summer holidays in his life he had still missed the place he now called home.Summer with his parents had been amazing and he couldn't wait till Christmas. He had gone to places he had never gone to before life.He had gotten to go to the other side of America. He had been to places like San Francisco and LA.He had visited all the tourist sites,he had gone to all the beaches and he had made new friends. It had been his best holiday ever and he had enjoyed spending time with his parents.Sometimes he woke up at night, sweating because he had nightmares that they were gone again, but he would just have to look around to know that that had all been a bad nightmare.

It was his second day back at the school. It was weird not being the youngest and newest in the school. It had been cool watching the sorting and seeing all the new first year.He had welcomed all the new Gryffindors and he had made them feel welcome. The feast had been amazing and he was still full from it.This year unpacking had taken longer then last year because his mother had practically filled his suitcase to the brim with new clothes. He had told her he wouldn't wear half of them but she wanted him to have the best and make up for all the years she was gone.Damien didn't mind really.

He was making his way outside the castle. The day was neither warm nor cold, there was no wind either.Quite a nice day really. He didn't really have anything in mind to do.he didn't have his guitar with him because it had begun to hurt his shoulders carrying it around all the times,so he was giving both himself and the guitar a rest.He was walking around the castle. There wasn't that many people about and he liked the quietness. He was looking out towards the lake when something hit him right on the head "Ow"he said, stopping and looking to find the mysterious thing that had hit him.He then saw it,a football?he thought. He had never seen a football here before. He picked it up and looked at it.He hadn't played with a football in years, music and the stress of magic had taken over.He looked up to see a girl who looked a small bit younger running towards him "I'm guessing this is yours"He said smiling. He didn't mind being hit,it had probably been by accident.

Taylor ran as fast as she could. However she was still not faster than the ball was and was unable to stop it from hitting someone in the head. She cringed at the impact. She couldn't believe that. She had never hit someone with a ball before. Someone other than Corey or Lewis any way. She ran towards the person apologising the whole way. She felt really bad. "Oh dear Merlin, I am so sorry" She said as she stopped in front of him and caught her breath. She looked over to the lawn. She had run a fair way. She stood up from her hunched position and looked at the boy properly. He was alittle older than she was, maybe a second year. He had blonde hair and was about average height. Now that she thought about it he kind of looked like her cousin Corey. She sighed. That wasn't very fair. Why was he allowed to look like her cousin, that was like her brother, whom she missed very much. She shrugged and twisted her hand in her hair. She was alittle nervous. She felt bad about her ball hitting him in the head. She gave a nervous laugh and nodded when he asked if the ball was hers. She nodded and rubbed her neck. "Uh yeah it is... sorry." She added as she took the ball from him. It was really bad that he looked like Corey. Now she felt even worse. "I am really very sorry about that." She bit her lip. The least she could do was introduce herself. "My name is Taylor by the way." She finished.
Sorry it's so small btw.
