It was a random time to wander, but Maddiie mind was terribly rambling non stop. She realise this morning school was almost coming to in end for her, seven years of Hogwarts were finally coming to a finish. Preparation for her finals were drawing near, and yet she was still behind a few assignments that she would surly finish, its the fact she was always locked up in the common room that made her drift away towards the corridors. At first she thought about going into the kitchen, to grab a bits of fruits to eat. Than she lost her appetite, strangely her stomach rejected the idea, so she decided the north towers would have been a good place to visit. Walking along the corridors she would make her way, rounding a corner aimlessly without looking were she was headed to. She counted on familiarity instinct to get there. So she didn't bother looking up.

Zazuka was counting steps. She needed to do something to keep herself from consentrating on the tention that came from being deprived of the Lotus potion. She had somewhat tricked Jon into getting the petles for her which she had been sorry for. Zazuka seemed to be wondering down a corredor looking down at her feet. '501, 502, 503" she had been counting the steps it took to get to the lounge from the library.

A pointless task but a mind numming one all the same. It was not until that she felt a somewhat familer presence that Zazuka looked up. "Maddie if I'm not mustaken." She said her voice it's normal dreamyness. By now she had become an expert in hiding what tormented her like she had become an expert in hiding her pain so long ago.

It took Maddiie several seconds to register the keeper of that voice, it wasn't until she looked up and realise it was Zazuka Bones talking to her. Standing feets away from the younger Ravenclaw girl Maddiie hinted her a smile as she brush the tawny of her forelock to the back of her ears. "Hey Zauk." she simply responded. Her thoughts began to wonder back to her brother Jon, how he had establish that relationship with Ms. Bones was still unclear to her. Maddiie found it somewhat odd that those two were actually friends. It just didn't make sense, course Jon didn't actually go into full details when he had came to visit her at Brightstone last weekend. He had came more for Maddiie, instead of himself, Jon had always been sort of private about his relationship. Maddiie didn't even know about the last two relationship Jon had, she didn't even know about Jake relationship with other girls. Somehow she manage to find out about them eventually, especially when you act more like a mother than a sister to your younger brothers. It was a bad habit, but how was she suppose to know what goes on in their life. If none of them even tells her, she had to use various tricks even con them just so they could spill the beans. Sort of bad, but it works.

Zazuka beamed sunshine though more of it was for show than for sheer happiness of seeing someone that wasn't watching her like a hawk. She had broken off all connections with Delphi root but there was still that chance. She had gathered some money and it was easier to get than she had originally thought. Zazuka again distracted herself. "What brings you to this lonely corner of the castle?" She asked as if she where very intrested. Zazuka willed herself to be so. It wouldn't be too long now before she could take intrest in this kind of thing again.

She would not be self indulgent again. It was as Jon said, she had to take the unknown with a brave face even if she it scared her half to death or made her feel sick at heart. "If the question is intrusive then you do not have to answer it." She said as a light joke. Her midnight orbs had only a light spattering of stars but this was as much joy as she could muster at the moment. The prosses to save her senses was slow but it was getting there.

"Oh was heading towards the ah north towers." Maddiie briefly explain, after slipping away from her thoughts yet again. "Needed some fresh air, exams and finals are killing me." she sighs looking down as she rub at her temple slightly so it wouldn't hurt with so much added pressure. "What about you?" she look back at Zazuka. Maddiie had heard she was going out with a former editor of the Hogwarts monthly. She recall his name being Brian, and that he had play along side with Kasey in quiddtich. She didn't know much about Brian, but she wonder if he would approve of Jon and Zazuka friendship. Most boys in Hogwarts tend to get jealous easily these days. Especially if their girlfriend was talking to someone from Drumstrang, trust that Maddiie seen a few of Jon and Jake friends. They weren't ordinary looking boys, is all she could simply say. Yet no one could compare to Alexander in her eyes, just wish she could express that a lot more instead of keeping it in.

What if Brian knew indeed. What if Brian knew anything of what was going on. He was Zazuka's knight in shining armor and to disapoint him was something that made Zazuka's stomach turn. That could have been a cramp from the lack of Delphi though. They where bad sometimes but Zazuka deat with it. As time went on and she did not take anything to comfort herself phicily though they seemed to be getting better and better. "Ah yet this is the year for N.E.W.Ts exams. I know that when that time comes I will be a nervos reck indeed. I should be one know because of O.W.Ls but there are other things in play here." She said her smile become a bit sad

Zazuka looked up then sighed. "I am distracting myself. Again there are things that make people like me distress. It is only the fear of being thought of as crazy that keeps us from saying what it on our minds." She said in the cryptic way she did when she did not want to give a straight answer. It seemed for Zazuka that there was often a time when she wanted to give straight answers. If someone wanted to know what she was talking about they would have to figure it out.

At first Maddiie couldn’t miscomprehend to what
Zazuka was saying. Distract herself? From what? Why did she sound so out of it, still Jon fail to go into details about their relationship? Maddiie took a step forward still looking at the Ravenclaw girl confused but didn’t show it as she tried to play it off. “Heard your friends with my brother.” She casually stated, waiting to see the expression her face. Maddiie lips was still twitch into a welcoming smile as she lean against the wall slightly waiting for her to confirm the factor. Maddiie already knew the answer so she continue to play it off as if she knew their friendship by heart…”He told me about your sister and the letters you exchange…” that part she wasn’t lying Jon had told her briefly about their letters exchange and how he met her young sister months ago.

Zazuka smiled. "You do not need the sight to see that Jon and I are the best of friends. He has helped me through so much it is a wonder that he is still around me. He is the only one that can see the true me from behind the riddles that I weave without me having to explane myself." She said her smile like a true sun just then. It went unoticed by Zazuka that she had grown some what happier while talking of her dearest friend. It was thoughts of him and his letters that made Zazuka able to bare the pain of withdawl. He had after all told her to think of something strong.

Zazuka laughed into her delicut fingers. "Oh yes Epiphany left from thier meeting with quite a good impression of him." She said then placed a hand on Maddiie's shoulder. "Come let's walk to the tower together. It is a most favored place to sit and think or talk with a friend." She said before she wobbled forwarde. She looked at Maddiie though the stars that usualy shone behind her glasses seemed to have been snuffed out. "For a year's time you will not know yourself. Do not harm the child." Said a some what harsher version of Zazuka's voice then Zazuka shook it off. "Sorry about that seemes I wondered off." She said her voice and manor once again dreamy.

Maddiie smiled widen. "Well good that's all I want to hear." she sighed glad their relationship was on a more friendlier level. "Its just I was afraid it would effect the relationship with you and Brian. I didn't want to think wrong and knew Jon wouldn't cross that line." Maddiie nodded as Zazuka join her. Its not that she didn't trust her brother, she knew he was one to make sensible choices but still she wasn't clear as to why it lead them into this weird friendship. From anyone point of view, Jon being Zaz friend was like a lion befriending a lamb. Still she let it go, maybe in the future she would end up knowing more about their relationship.

Maddiie was distratced in her own thoughts stll rubbing her temple when Zaz stumble clumsy on her. Zaz had spoken ominously out of the blue, and her words hadn't fighten Maddiie greatly. "Zazuka what do you mean by that?" she felt her words tremble, only to be stunned by her change of behaviour. "Zazuka are you alright?
What's wrong with you?" course Maddiie didn't know that Zazuka was a seer. Only Jon and her father knew about this information, including those who were close to Zazuka. "You said about a child? What child?" she looked at her still confused.

Zazuka laughed into her fingers again. "Oh no one need worry about that. Brian and I are very solid even though we may have our issues. Love is not fixing one's weaknesses but learing to live with them along with what it was that made you love them in the first place." She said mimicking the wise Ravecalw she was meant to be. Zazuka trusted Jon enough at this point that she would place her very life in his hands if the occation called for it.

Zazuka heard Maddiie ask her questions one being what was wrong with her then went back to the moment she had spaced out. "Oh dear I thought the whole school knew after the pre-condolences that I gave young Ms. Chaos. I have the Sight." She said then tapped on one of her leses. "If I said anything to you that you don't understand that I had not ment for you not to understand then it came from the other side and I have no more information about it than you do at this moment." She said with a bow of her head. She was always sorry for this but when she said things like that she never even remembered saying it.

"Oh well that make sense." she sighed Zazuka either must have forgotten her family absent, or hadn't recall Maddiie leaving the school as she always had been doing for the last past seven years. "I hadn't heard about that, and the girl you speak of I only met once or twice." she began walking up towards the tower with Zaz still accompanying her. "How does that work anyways? I only took Arithmomancy in my fourth year so I can never figure what a seer is capable of doing...” Maddiie asked with interest. "Is it a gift or a curse?"

Zazuka looked up. "It was only the year before I think when Isabella had the prediction made that her mother was going pass on." She said with a sigh. She measured her steps again but she wasn't counting this time. "I would know how to tell you how it works because for now things come to me when they want to some times makeing it inconvinent because I maybe tryinbg to sleep or something like that. It's a gift when you can do something about what you see, it's a curse then it unavoidable." she said with a sigh.

"Wow you saw that." Maddiie looked at Zazuka sideways, really amazed at the girl. "That must've been tough to see?" it was sort of like when Maddiie was paid a visit by Damon. Only she didn't know what it meant at the time, and she was dreaming when he came to visit. It was a horrible sight to see your oldest brother come to you in a dream, when his appearance was nothing you would ever want to recall back, it made Maddiie shudder just thinking about it. That very night she heard words from her father given by Patrick, Andy uncle that Maddiie mother had passed away. She had felt the same way she had seen Damon, only alive but dead inside. Goosebumps develop across Maddiie exposed arms, she wrapped her hands around her form. She was trying not to cringe thinking about it.

Zazuka nodded. "Well more like felt it but yeah and it was one of those moment like you had to go to the person no matter what and tell them what you saw. You see this skill does not allow me to lie about what I see but it does allow me to phrase something so a person will not understand until time comes for them to understand. It does not allow me to cheat but it does allow me to aline myself with which ever side I think should benifet. The rules to Seeing are complicated but ones that I need to learn in order to grow." She said while looking up. She was trying to remember everything that her Divination professor told her thought it was heard seeing as half the time she had been strung out. Zazuka only thanked the stars that she had the skill to hold information even if she was not paying attention. "What ills you?" Zazuka asked looking at Maddiie.

"Its just what you describe sort of reminded me of the past." she look at Zazuka wondering if she could trust her. From the looks of it she had seem trustworthy enough. This wasn't Maddiie first encounter with Zazuka. Just the last time they spoke really was years ago, "Something of the past that happen years ago. I think I was 14 in my 3rd year I'm not sure. It had to be, Kasey was in her second year." she rubbed her temple again, the pain was growing, Maddiie was praying that it wasn't one of those nights. "I had gotten sick while attending the Yule Ball." she fail to mention her curse, well sickness to Jon. "Anyways, I was admitted to the west wing. Stayed there over night and I had a dream." she sighs, the sharp pain hitting like a horrific crash impact as she spoke of it. "The dream...the dream..."

Zazuka ducked her head to try and look into Maddiie's eyes. There where times when she could tell that others had ablities. Not like her's of course these where skills that she could not renounce for forget about. Doing so would mean her own madness. She listened to Maddiie's story then bit her lip while grabbing a hold of her hands. She cought a flash of a half earth eaten corps and a blood stained dress. The images where truly horrefying but Zazuka didn't want to leave Maddiie to her illness.

Maddiie told Zazuka of the dream she had many years ago. Once she was finish she had realise they never did progress towards the tower. "It was weird because he wouldn't tell me what was to come of that night." she stared back at Zazuka. For some reason she no longer saw the girl to be younger than her, she felt like she was a lot wiser than she herself could ever be. And that was just a vibe that she had sense from Zazuka. "Well eventually I found out my mother had passed...years later I found out the truth." she directed herself towards nearest windowsill. Opening the latch she felt the night air slip inside the crack of the castle window. She needed that breath of air for now, "Sorry never really spoke to anyone about this, well probably one other but never had the chance to explain." she finally said close to a whisper.

Zazuka listened intently to Maddiie. She understood about dream like that. They plauged her all the time. None had ever been about her family though. "The fates like to talk in cryptics and it's up to the people who have things like this happen to them to puzzle it out. There have been times when I am too late change what is happen. Jon mentioned about your mother and brother." She said with a half smile on her face. "It's ok Maddiie, you can trust me with anything." She said as she followed her to the window. This was more than sage and mellowsweet would cure so Zazuka kept that advice to herself.

Maddiie felt less tense now that Zazuka knew a lot more than others would know, "Oh did he?" she question. She suspect her brother would had open up to someone, she still was stunned that it had been Zazuka. Being in her presents, unanswered question, were finally being answered on their own. He felt comfort in her, and as she did to him. It seem like a strong bond of friendship, that didn't seem like it will never be broken. "I came up with a theory one night when I was with my fiancée." she blushed looking down, Zazuka was the third person to know of this, Kasey was first follow by Jon. "I was about to tell him, but we ended up falling asleep together. Well my theory is, I believe my curse ... Was bestowed on my family. I mean it just made a lot sense. Two deaths brought by death eaters." she sighed a uneasy breath expelling from her lips. "If it weren't for Damon leading me to the truth I would have never known, but I have to tell someone. What if my family targeted...meaning what if we were all meant to die?" she looked at Zazuka, she hope this didn't sound insane. "Murder to be exact."

Zazuka put a fist to her heart as she remembered the images that she had seen before something had beend one to control her visions. There was a good chance that they where all going to be in danger if the Woman with Violet eyes ever came into power. "Choices change the fate of any one person. No curse could ever mess with that. What I believe is that something very dark and ver powerful has touched your family." She said looking out into the night sky. There where thick clouds covering the moon but she could still feel it's glow. Her eyes didn't change though they rarely did anymore.

Maddiie look frighten unsure what to say. Maybe it had something to do with the kind of jobs her father had always disappeared out of nowhere to assist. She never asked him, it was a rule in the family. His job profession was never discussed, no matter the circumstances. She felt her stomach tighten in pain, she lean forward as a cramp had occurred. It was extremely painful, she tried her hardest to ignore the best that she could, she didn't want to end up going towards the hospital wing. So she straighten, slightly out of breath as she held in the pain.

Zazuka again ducked to look into Maddiie's eyes. She needed to know if she could help even though she could read Maddiie's pain. "Do you think this is something that a Healer will be able to help you with?" She asked gently. Zazuka was often in pain but didn't often seek help from the hospital wing mostly because she was certen that no Healer could tell her something about what she was feeling that she didn't already know. Only when she was certen that it was something that came from her body and not from beyond was that she told someone about it.

"I'm fine." she reassured her, the best that she could. There was no way Maddiie was ending up in the hospital wings again, no she refuse to even step a foot in there. Only time she ever paid a visit was to take her potion once in a while, Maddiie had gain the knowledge to brew it on her own. It was a good thing she always paid attention in potion class, even if her fingers and tresses would slightly get burnt by the smoking cauldron. She still manage to do incredibly well in her lessons. "Just.... I figure it would happen, you know something hunting my family. Just never figure it out on my own." she looked at Zazuka worried. Course, Maddiie knew very little knowledge of those who were seer. The information that she did knew, was vision and choices had a lot to do what the future brings, even Zazuka had stated that part earlier. She prayed what Zazuka was saying wasn't entirely true, but than again she didn't say it was.

Zazuka nodded. "I had to ask there are things that Healers can not help with though they are highly trained in doing what they can. If you truly feel like your fine then I won't ask anymore." She said then beamed as if that would make it better. "If it does happen then it had to happen. Figure it this way. If something is at that point unavoidable then course of actions had to taken before hand for it to happen. Fate is detemened by a set of actions to lead to one causality and for that cousality to be different then another set of actions would have needed to take place. Or at least that's what I tell myself when I See something that has left me crying when I wake up." She said looking down at her shoes. Zazuka was a Ravenclaw first and formost. She had tried before her visit to Bleak Street to inject some logic and reason into what she was going through just so she could say that she figured it out somewhat.

In some ways, Maddiie was following what Zazuka was saying in others she was still confused in that area. "But no one can escape death, even if you tried to at first and you succeed. No other action, or vision could escape death, death is promise." Maddiie gaze fell towards the ground, anyone could comprehend what she meant by that. You don't have to be a seer to figure that one out. Maddiie looked up after couple moments of silent. "But you escaped it when you were with Alexander. He told me what happen...to you in Bleak Street. Did you escaped it? Or was it something else?" when Alex had told her, it didn't make sense. She didn't even know he had gone to Bleak Street till he told her finally one weekend. It had scared Maddiie greatly, she had ask him, desperately to never to go back. He promise, but by the looks of it didn't seem so sincere. "What did happen in Bleak Street?" she ask Zazuke once again.
