Nolan had spent his break at school and the boy had been avoiding everything musical for a bit. Especially avoiding the arts room where he wrote his music sometimes. It was a new semester, and Nolan wanted to try and get back into music, but it was a bit difficult. The boy stood outside the conglomerated arts room for a bit. Contemplating if he wanted to go inside. After thinking for a bit, he sighed quietly to himself before making his way slowly into the arts room, his guitar in his hand and taking a seat in one of the chairs.

He looked at his guitar a bit numbly and nervously. Before hesitantly deciding to play a tune. It had felt odd to play the musical instrument as he hadn't been playing it for a while. He stopped after a bit, thinking of ways to start writing a song. He decided to play a tune, though he frowned a little when he didn't like the tune he had just played. "No... that's not it" Nolan muttered to himself a little, not liking the tune. Nolan then decided to try and play another tune, though he frowned at that sound too. "No, that's not it either..." Nolan said to himself again. Nolan did this for ten minutes. Now he wasn't sure if he regretted coming into the room or not.

Ivelisse often had a plan of what she wanted to do with her day and yet today she was bored. She had been up early and already been on her morning run, even brought her broom so she could fly a few laps around the pitch. She had showered and gotten dressed and now here she was. Ready for the day but unsure of what to do. She contemplated heading over to her dad's office to see if he had anything she could help out with, but after Celia's accusations last semester of him having anything to do with her prefect's badge she decided against it. Which was silly, really, but still.

Instead, Ive had been aimlessly wandering around the castle trying to decide where to go. She felt like her favourite places were too obvious, wouldn't bring anything interesting to her day. So perhaps she should go somewhere she didn't frequent. She had been planning on the courtyard but the second she passed the arts room she had changed her mind. Talk about her place she didn't ever set foot in. Without thinking Ive swung open the door and stepped inside, feeling like she shouldn't be as surprised as she was to find someone else already in there. Especially with how many students were at the school. "Oh, sorry." She said with a little shrug before walking further into the room, looking around to see what it was all about before turning to focus her attention on Nolan. "What were you up to?" Ive asked, glancing at the guitar. She had never had any problem with the boy so perhaps talking to him would help her kill some time.

With a few more minutes of him trying to figure out on trying to figure out how he wanted to start or make his song, he seemed that he wasn't getting anywhere. Nolan didn't really look up at first when he heard someone come in, as he assumed it was someone who wanted to get some work done. He was used to other people being in the room by now. Though he did look up when he heard someone apologise. Nolan realised it had been one of his classmates, Ivelisse. Nolan hadn't really interacted with the girl much, but he guessed she seemed nice enough. "Oh... Uh... Just trying to get some music done. No ideas sound good or are coming to mind though" Nolan says with a small shrug. He was trying to get some stuff done, but nothing was coming to mind. "How bout you?"

Ivelisse nodded when Nolan mentioned he was trying to get music done but was, in fact, not exactly getting anything done. She couldn't relate though. Music had never been a strong suit of her. Nor had anything artistic been, really. Which explained why she never came to the arts room in the first place anyways. "I was just bored," Ive responded with a shrug, glancing around the room as she took a few steps further. "Figured I'd check out some places I never spend any time." She added before turning back to glance at Nolan. "Are you part of the club too?"

Nolan nodded as Ivelisse explained that she was just bored, which he could understand. If he was being honest, there wasn't really much to do at Hogwarts if you've already done most of it. "Yeah, I don't blame you there. There isn't really much to do around here" Nolan says with a small shrug. He seemed to get bored pretty quickly when there was nothing to do. Nolan nodded a little as he answered the girl's question. "Yep. Are you?" Nolan asked, deciding to return the question, even though it was probably not a good one.
