Libby was sat hidden away behind the rosebush. She put her hand up to one of the stems, tracing the spikes. Sighing she turned and took a seat on the grass beside it, and started playing with the blades of grass at her feet, her long brown hair waving in the wind.

Larissa was in a foul mood- She had not seen her punch bag for days and her fury had slowly been building up.
Larissa decided to try and calm down by taking a walk by the lakefront.
She stood staring into the water, metres from the rosebush. Her platinum blonde hair was curled softly and blowing in the wind. She had her black robes on which- with the hood up- made her very intimidating indeed.
Her blue eyes scanned the scenery and Larissa felt something at the back of her head.
She didn't realise it but she could sense Libby behind her.
Larissa did not turn around. She continued to watch the water, deep in thought.

Jacob thought that taking a walk could calm him down. His head was buzzing with questions, accusations and problems to which he could find no solution.Peace and calm, not to mention revenge, was what he was seeking.

He stepped out onto the grounds the cool autumn air blowing against his face as he made his way towards the lakefront. His black cloak billowed behind him as he walked against the wind.He concentrated on calming down because otherwise he thought his head would explode.

When he finally came in full view of the lake his mind seemed to be soothed. The lake was one place that guaranteed peace to him.It held many memories both good and bad, but for now Jacob tried to concentrate on the good ones.He scanned the grounds realizing that he wasn't alone.

By the lake stood the figure of a girl with lightly curled silvery blonde hair and pale skin which stood out against the black cloak that she was wearing.Jacob smiled to himself before advancing towards Larissa. When he finally reached her he stopped at he shoulder and whispered into her ear,"What are you finding in the water?"

Larissa had not been expecting a male voice in her ear and jumped inside her mind but managed to stay still on the outside.
She turned to Jacob, her blue eyes looking into his green ones, searching for something.. She didn't find it and turned away. "A calm coating of bluey-green with a nutty center of merpeople." She rolled her eyes.
She was not annoyed with Jacob. She had been searching for her anger in his eyes- She wanted to see if he made her angry. He didn't. It was Libby who did.
"So," she said, turning on her heel, now facing Jacob full-on, her eyes briefly glancing to the rosebush.
She could could see someone's leg.
"I bet you're glad to be rid of that scum." She said, pausing for a moment, "Liberty Barnett" she said in mocking tones. She was still angry. She would have her revenge somehow..

Libby could hear people in the distance talking, and although she wasn't listening she could have sworn she had just heard her name. She sighed, the hair was still covering her face. She was pleased to have finally made it into the Quidditch game, and at the moment it was all she could think about. It was her birthday next month too.

She thought about Larissa. She hadn't seen her since she found her and Hoshi coming out of the dungeons after threatening a first year. Nether had she seen Jacob since they'd broken up. She wondered if they were still angry at her, but she couldn't say why. She hadn't done anything wrong.

The back of Jacob's neck prickled. This usually happened when he felt he was being watched. He turned to look at the rosebush.Someone's leg was partially in view.Jacob was not sure if they were eaves dropping or not but he didn't want to take any chances. He didn't want his name to appear again in the Gossip magazine.

He dropped his voice ever so slightly and said,"I can't deny to that, however, why spoil our tongue just to insult someone we'd rather not think about?"he said a little bit uncomfortable by the word Larissa used to call Liberty.

"So how have you been?I expect that you are enjoying now even more than you used to with Liberty arround."he asked her as he played with the collar button of his shirt. This was what he did when he was unsure or nerveous.

The voices contiuned and Libby could vaguely hear what's going on, was it? No it couldn't be. She took up suddenly and turned in the direction of the voices. She froze. Sitting back down hopng they hadn't seen her, she found Larissa and Jacob. What were they doing together? she thought, staring at the lake. She had half a mind to jump into it before anything could happen.

Larissa nodded to Jacob. "At least now I can prank the Hufflepuffs without feeling even a twinge of guilt."
Larissa smiled with her gleaming white teeth. She was no longer hiding who she was.. Well, with the exception that she hid her inner darkness from Professor Manteia. He was the only Professor she could truly respect.

Something caught Larissa's eye.
She could see, in the corner of her vision, a girl looking at her.
It was unmistakeably Liberty Barnett.
Larissa half smiled. She had been wondering where her punching bag was at.
Larissa raised her eyebrows to Jacob and gave a light cough.
"It's her." Larissa whispered so only Jacob could hear.
She wondered if Libby still had feelings for Jacob and decided to test this out.
Larissa made sure in the corner of her eye that Liberty had a clear view.
She leant forwards, quickly whispered, "Just go with it." and began to kiss Jacob on the lips.

Surely this would surprise Libby in the least.
Larissa had always come across as not being fond of Jacob.
The truth was, she didn't mind him. He was alright for a boy.

Libby sat down again with a bump. She remembered what he had said to her a while ago. Was he really trying to spite her? She thought he understood. And to go around with Larissa? How shallow could you get? she thought. She didn't care what he did. They wouldn't be able to hurt her. She had never said she needed anyone. She remained behind the bush again, looking ou across the grounds for anyone else she knew and could join.

Jacob understood what Larissa meant by her as soon as she said it.Anger pulsed through him wanting to turn around and curse her but at the moment he had head Larissa say just go with it.He didn't even have a chance to speak before Larissa was kissing him full on the lips.He was slightly surprised but willingly kissed her back.He found her hands and linked his fingers though them.

Jacob wondered if this was all a show to make Liberty jealous or did Larissa really share Jacob's feelings.Jacob would surely curse Liberty if she was watching their private moment but it made him smile mentally imagining Liberty's face if she was watching this scene.

Why should she care what they were doing? She had given up now on most slytherins, the occasional one could be found charming, but most of them are just spiteful and lonely at heart, she concluded in her head.

She jumped up again, this time not facing them and began to wander back to the path around the castle. She needed to talk to her head of house anyway. If Jacob and Larissa were going to try and irritate her they would have to go about another way to do it.

Larissa noticed Liberty leaving and yet she didn't stop kissing Jacob. It had been so long and she was enjoying the attention.
Larissa finally pulled away, a little breathless and smiled.
"You're a good kisser" Larissa said as though this was an off-hand comment.
"We should do this again," Larissa laughed, her blue eyes sparkling.
Larissa began to walk away but turned at the last moment to say "You're my man now, mine."
She walked away.
This was Larissa's way of 'starting' a relationship.

Jacob was slightly breathless when Larissa pulled away from the kiss."You're a damn good kisser yourself."he told her taking deap breaths to control his breathing."yes we definitely should."giving her one of his mischievous smiles.
"And you are my lady."he told her before she turned around and walked away.He thrust his fist into the air.The thing he wanted to say had been said without words.
