In the half a year that she had spent abroad going through ancient tombs and long-forgotten ruins, Milly never expected that she would lose her notebook because of a nasty curse going off right as she was about to leave a tomb with all its treasures in her backpack. But there she was, entering a bookshop looking for something new to write in ever since her previous notebook got destroyed by the curse she had set off. She knew that she had to be more careful in the future, but she had done all the necessary checks before entering the chamber in which the tomb stood. Alas, it was no use fussing over that now, she was still alive and kicking and with the only piece missing being a notebook, she thought that she had done rather well. Milly walked around the bookshop, wanting to look around first before looking at the options they had.

Life had been getting better for Emily after graduation. Not having to see Sydney all the time, being away from the memories, was really doing wonders to help heal her broken heart. She felt normal again, finally, and even when the odd thought of Sydney crossed her mind, Emily didn't feel sad anymore. And while she was living with Daintree, who perpetually insisted that he'd never work, Emily had taken on two jobs. One at Flourish and Blotts, and one helping to run the family book store. Eventually she'd quit Flourish and Blotts and take over the bookstore completely. She'd been working on the inventory today, wanting to learn the process on her own before presenting it to her step-mother for approval. She was in the middle of this when someone came inside. Emily let the woman walk around a bit while she finished the section she was working on before setting down her clipboard and approaching the woman. "Hello, welcome to our bookstore. Can I help you with anything?" She asked.

Milly never realised that there had been a bookshop this close to where her parents lived but wasn’t surprised about it either. They had only just moved from Ireland to New Zealand when it was her time to attend Hogwarts Castle all the way in Great Britain, so she had never really gotten the chance to explore the town a bit and get to know her new surroundings. And because of the distance, she was only ever home for the summer break since she’d spent Christmas at the castle. But now she was finally home again and had a proper reason to actually seek out a bookshop. It was cute and Milly thought that the interior of the shop was very warm and welcoming as she walked around. She smiled when she was eventually approached by one of the people working here. ‘’Hi! Thank you! Yes, you can definitely help me,’’ Milly started, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. ‘’I’m looking for a new notebook – something sturdy that won’t break easily.’’

Emily noticed how pretty the girl was, but chose to ignore it. "Sure, we can head on over this way," Emily motioned to be followed and walked across the store to the stationary section. "I have a few options, but if you're looking for durability..." Emily reached up onto the shelf and pulled down a thick, leather bound journal and offered it to the woman. "It's a bit old school, but we can order in personalized ones as well, if you don't mind waiting a week for it to come in." She smiled.
