Leah had really lucked out with her Halloween costume this year. When she had gone to visit her grandparents over the break she had found her grandmother's old Beauxbaton's uniform in the back of a closet. She had decided to 'borrow' it without asking but it wasn't like her grandmother would miss it. She was pretty sure the uniform was different now but it did feel a little odd to pretend to be someone from a different school. When her parents had fought over which school she would go to Beauxbaton's was suggested but Leah had never been very good at French. She didn't like to think about what her life might look like if she hadn't ended up where she did. She had her problems at school over the years but she wouldn't trade her friends for anything. She stood in front of the fun house mirrors and had a small crisis about the other version of herself that was looking back at her.

Kyousuke's costume was ridiculous. He knew that. He'd chosen it because it was ridiculous, and last minute at that. It was an injoke that for the most part included only him. A simple bear hat and suddenly he could proclaim himself the bear from Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. Probably no one would find it particularly inspired, but it amused him and that's what counted.

He had been wandering around the Halloween feast, seeing people he knew but deciding not to go meet them. They were busy in conversation, or they weren't particularly someone he wanted to see. He saw an older student however by the house of mirrors looking a bit...well, Kyousuke would say discombobulated. He hesitated. He'd never really associated with older students, and in the back of his mind he wondered somewhat childishly if they bite. He mentally shook off the ridiculous idea and decided to approach. "Are you alright?" he decided on asking, thinking it was the polite thing to do at least.

Leah felt herself suddenly brought back to the present when she heard a voice next to her speak. She turned and saw a younger boy. "Hmm?" she said reflexively until she realized he had asked if she was ok. "Oh yeah. I'm fine. Completely fine." she said quickly and had to make an effort to brake eye contact with her reflection. "Just felt like I was looking at a stranger for a second." she added before forcing a laugh. Finally she took in the boy's costume and grinned. "Nice bear hat." she said genuinely.
