Mikael stood from his seat to watch from the sidelines as families reunited after the ceremony. He leaned against the wall, eyes roaming the hall that was filled with graduates and guests for the occasion. It wasn't hard to spot Elio through the crowd, he never had trouble finding the Gryffindor - and he will always be the Gryffindor to Mikael even if he'd already graduated as of minutes ago. A small bouquet of flowers was held in his hand - one that he'd been holding on to throughout the Ceremony so he could give to his boyfriend afterward. He waited though, had wanted to give Elio and his parents their moment before Mikael would greet and congratulate his boyfriend. He knew Elio's parents didn't exactly like him, which was unsurprising, so he wanted to give the family their moment before anything else. Besides, watching Elio from here, he would know when his presence was required, and that's if Elio didn't spot him first and decide to come to him.

Elio saw his parents walking out as he waited and he rushed over to them as they arrived, grabbing them both in hugs. He’d never spoken to Bryce about what happened on the Brightstone weekend, and he knew Bryce hadn’t said anything to his mum about it either and he really appreciated him for that. He grinned at both of them, “Thanks mum!” he said, when she kissed him on the cheek. He was taller than her these days, which meant she had to reach up to him. He thought he could see a bit of mist in her eyes, but she was hardly going to admit to it.

Kelsey found herself laughing softly as Elio leaned down for her to reach his cheek and she rewarded him with a soft pat on the face, her hands instinctively moving to straighten his slightly crumpled collar, wondering why her son couldn’t ever just be decent for once. “You’re welcome darling,” she said, patting him on the arm as she stood with Bryce. She was going to always be grateful that Bryce had taken to Elio as if he was his own, she’d even heard Elio once or twice referring to Bryce as his dad, which was always nice to see. “You know I still remember when you would hug my legs whilst we were in Eyelops, hiding from the customers, now look at you, all grown up and still making me cry in public,” she said glancing over to the crowd behind him, spotting a familiar stoic figure with flowers. “We won’t keep you long,” she said, nodding her head in Mikael’s direction. “But we did want you to know how proud we are Elio, truely. And I know how hard it was to admit you didn’t want to be a healer. Please know I will always support you… most of the time,” she said again, glancing at Mikael.

It was hard to miss the amount of glances that Kelsey had thrown her way since she started talking to Elio so he supposed there was no use staying in the sidelines now. He left his spot on the wall, and walked towards the small family. Elio's back was still to him, so he took another glance down at the bouquet just to make sure it was adequate for the occasion: pink peonies, white orchids, red lilies, and pink roses. All carefully chosen. "Congratulations," he said both to his boyfriend and his mother as he handed Elio the bouquet, wrapped in very thin and light green material that blended with the foliage, and wrapped with Gryffindor ribbons.

Elio could see his mother continuing to look over her shoulder at Mikael, and he shook his head. He knew his mum wasn’t a big fan of his boyfriend and he appreciate that she was kind of trying. Well, he supposed it was trying from her point of view, even if he didn’t agree. He turned when he felt, rather than heard, Mikael approach, and looked down at the Bouquet as it was held out to him. He took them easily and sniffed them, recognising the white orchids for the confession of love that they were, but unsure about the rest of the flowers. He could ask Mikael later - he hoped. He smiled a little sadly, a tiny pout forming on his lips and he wrapped his arms around Mikael - once again reminding his boyfriend of his superior height - and kissed him. “Congratulations for surviving my final year of Hogwarts you mean?”

Mikael watched as Elio took the bouquet and sniffed the flowers. He wasn't the least bit surprised when the Gryffindor then wrapped his arms around him, rolling his eyes as his hands wrap easily around Elio's waist - all familiar - and returned the kiss. "I believe you did more than just survive," he said with a raised brow. He was pretty sure Elio aced most if not all of his NEWTs, and he had done very well in the Dueling Championship as well, not to mention the school paper articles.. If anything, his boyfriend had done quite a lot during this last year. "But yes. Congratulations. Unfortunately, your gift would have to wait a while."

Elio snorted when Mikael said he had done more than just survive, he wasn’t sure he agreed, but he was only seeing things from his perspective. He might have done a lot whilst he was at the school, but it was because he was trying to live his life to the fullest he knew how, and that meant doing everything he could think of and just being a general menace in other people’s lives. Well, maybe that wasn’t quite true. He pouted a little when Mikael said he would have to wait for his gift though. “Awh, what? Why?” he couldn’t imagine why he should have to wait, he was all about that instant gratification and it was why he liked physical prizes in his hands when he won anything. Just to make sure he actually had something. “Come onnnnn, pleaseeee?”

"Because you'll have to get your mother's permission first if you're not moving out," Mikael said with a put-upon sigh as one of his hands move to brush Elio's hair away from his face before returning to his waist, not that he was really annoyed with Elio - he would have been stupid not to expect it at all. "I don't think Kelsey will be very happy if she suddenly found a pig in her house," he said, entirely unimpressed before reminding Elio with a gesture that his mother was only a few feet from them. His boyfriend had only been talking about wanting a pig for the whole year. And the only reason Mikael hadn't acquiesced was because he didn't think having a pig within the school would be appropriate. There would be no reason for him to deny Elio though, especially since they would be apart for some time. Well, there was one. He couldn't really buy Elio a pig if his mother said no since Elio would still be living with her as far as their last talk went.

Get his mother's permission? Just what exactly was this gift? Now he was a little nervous, knowing Mikael, it could have been anything. He waited impatiently for Mikael to continue what he was talking about and then his eyes almost bugged out of his head when Mikael admitted that he was gifting him a pig. A pig?! A MINI PIG! A massive grin slid onto his face and he pulled him into another crushing hug. He'd mentioned it once in passing to Mikael one time (multiple times for weeks on end since the start of the year but who's counting) and he couldn't believe that Mikael had actually done it. He wasn't a pet person as Elio liked to kindly put it so he was over the moon about Mikael caving and getting him one. Initially the plan had been for Elio to move above Honeydukes and live on his own for a bit, with Mikael joining him for a time afterwards if he'd wanted to, but plans had changed now and he would be living had home for a while, at least until Mikael was out of school and felt safe enough to live with Elio. He was annoyed about it, but it was the one concession he supposed he could make with limited fuss, and his mum wouldn't mind, they could use the apartment for storage for a while. Or she would rent it out, she hadn't decided yet. "Thank you, I love you, you're the best."

Mikael had been ready for Elio's excitement, and so he just shook his head and rolled his eyes as he was pulled into another hug - this one tighter than the last. Guess his boyfriend must really have been wanting the pig which Mikael would admittedly never understand. But Elio had been gushing and pleading all year and his boyfriend had worked hard on his NEWTs so of course a reward was in order. "Yes, yes," he said with a shake of his head, amused. "I have not bought it yet because I assumed you wanted to pick your own, but if your mother is fine with you having a pig in the house then we can certainly go as soon as you want." But at least he'd found a place to get the pig, and he'd already sent in the galleons ahead of time, so all that was left was for Elio to come with him and get one of his choosing.
