Lavender gazed across the lawn, staying in the shade where she could lurk around. She often resorted to the Oak tree as her place to reflect.
For once, Lavender felt a need of love in her life. She was lonely - And worse still, young. She wished she could skip three years of her life. Then she'd have her dream boy, and they'd be happy together. Even though Lavender was more the secretive type, she felt she could talk freely to boys. The girls always seemed to snigger at her, and she found it was better not to talk to them.
She opened her sketch book, flicking through the drawings. Then, staring into the distance, she picked a boy, and began to draw him. Even though he was a good way away, she had seen him before, and drew every detail of his face. She altered him slightly, making him look taller and more masculine. Her fringe curtained her hair, blocking the sunlight from her eyes. She coughed, jolting her pencil. Sighing, she rubbed it out and started again - she was never pleased with her own work.
However this time, she drew him how he really was - and it worked. He looked like an angel. She smiled, willing him over. She didn't want him to see her work, just to chat to her, get things off her chest a bit.
I hope he's not a creep Lavender thought secretly, smiling down the lawn at him, trying to catch his eye.

Karly walked behind the strange girl, who was sketching roughly.
'Hi. What's your name? I don't think we've met.' She said carefully, noticing from her appearance she was the type of person who liked to be alone. She didn't want to make the girl jump, but she was useless at it, and surprised everybody as she was so quiet when she walked.
