Curfew. Mylie knew all to well what it was and when the curfew was. But when one couldn't fall asleep and was left alone with thoughts so harsh that the only thing he or she could do to keep from the madness is get away, what other choice was Mylie faced with? She didn't want to stay awake and keep listening to herself all night. So a walk was certainly one of the last few things she could think of to keep her sanity alive and functioning properly. Mylie was thankful that her roommates didn't exactly question why she was never in bed when they woke up, or why she was never one of the most lively people they had come across. Some people found the need to question her attitude because she was a Hufflepuff and was supposed to be sweet. That was annoying. Not all Hufflepuffs were big softies just like not all Slytherin had sticks up their butts. There was really no other to explain it to people other than to say that they needed to learn to judge others less then they have been doing for most of their lives. It was one thing to say something about someone just based on what they act or look like, but to actually know them and their story was a whole different field. It was judging someone that made a person seem really shallow themselves, so Mylie tried to refrain from doing if she could manage. It was hard sometimes because it was natural human instinct to judge someone. Anyways, at least her roommates were understanding enough to leave her alone about it, same story with the Head of House who really just seemed to not mind Mylie being the way she was. Professor Snow was much to timid of a woman to really discourage people to be who they were. There was at least an eighty percent chance that she was going to get caught tonight too. Possibly gain a detention or just a lecture from Professor Snow. Mylie would still go out for walks though. Not even the Minister of New Zealand could make her stop that, she thought at least.
Mylie's feet carried her outside of the castle and towards that creepy looking forest in the distance. It was a little hard to see in the blackness of the night but it didn't slow her down any. Students weren't allowed in the forest to begin with so she could only imagine how much this would put her in for if she was caught out here after hours. Mylie's chocolate brown eyes gently changed to a silvery color as she began to feel at peace for a moment. Outside with fresh air and no thoughts to bother her she actually felt much better than she had before. Her eyes didn't remain that color for long though, they changed back to their normal dark brown. She was slowly getting better at keeping her ability under the control she wanted it to be. Upon entering the forest she felt a cool breeze. It was almost as if the forest was greeting her, or warning, whichever. She continued inside anyways just so she was barely inside but close enough to the edge in case something decided she'd make a pleasant meal. When the sound of crunching leaves or sticks reached the Hufflepuff's ears she froze and her eyes darkened as she peered around for the idiot who happened to ruin her quite solitude.
