Camilia Cavanaugh was absolutely delighted. She had been planning this party for months! A family gathering. There was nothing better than inviting all of your siblings and relatives to you home to have dinner and chat. She was just so excited. Camilia had spent all day preparing. She had done a little cooking, decorating, and scolding. Now, everything was beautiful. The living room and dining room were decorated with streamers of many colors. This was not just going to be extremely formal. Camilia had just dressed up because it made her feel pretty. Everything that a person could imagine had been placed somewhere in the Cavanaugh mansion. Her favorite had to be the chocolate fountain. Her husband and her brother-in-law had been no help at all, so she has yelled at them to stay out of her way while she prepared. Kyle had helped a little, but she had not expected much help from her son anyways. He had been saved from her rage. Camilia had even set up a stand where Dietrich could play some music. She only did that because she felt sorry for locking him in the library, a place where he absolutely dreaded. Camilia finished setting the dining room table and walked into the living room to give it yet another inspection. She waved her wand to fix a uneven streamer. She had gotten all of Kyle's cousin's favorite things so they wouldn't be bored. She looked at her watch. People would be arriving soon, and this made Camilia scream with joy. She called all three of her boys down. She had hoped they had dressed casually. Camilia wanted to be the only one dressed formally because was the hostess. She could not dress in rags while hosting a party. She just wouldn't let it happen.

The whole reason she had done all this was so Kyle would get to see his family. She was doing this, so her son would not have to feel so lonely over the time he was out of school because he had a bunch of family members he could bother! She had wanted to give her son a sibling, but her husband was so against it for some reason. It was ridiculous! He probably did not see the loneliness in his son's eyes like she did. Patrick was always so focused on work. It was all about work for him. Camilia had worked a ton too, but she always tried to find time to care for the house, maids and her family. Camilia heard a knock on the door. She clapped her hands happily and waved her wand. The door swung open and she ran to greet the first batch of family members.

Kyle had mixed feelings about holidays. Leaving Hogwarts was not something he enjoyed very much. He knew he had to meet his family from time to time but leaving his friends behind was not something this first year looked forward to. Thoughts about being in a different grade next year was cheerful but it did make him a little nervous as well. This term he had gotten straight O's in all his subjects except for Herbology where he had Passed. His father had not asked him about his grades yet and the thought of him doing so in front of all his cousins and aunts and uncle was creeping him out. If Patrick Cavanaugh wanted to boast about something at the dinner table today it would definitely have to be about business expansion or something along those lines because if he chose to steer towards Kyle's grade not only would he be upset about that but also that would make Kyle upset. Hoping for the best Kyle took a look in mirror before heading out of his room which was on the on the first floor in their mansion. One of the bright side of Kyle's holiday was that his friend Rose was spending them with his family. He gently knocked on the wooden door of her room which was right across his and asked "You ready?"

Kyle was also looking forward to the dinner party his mother had arranged tonight. It was only his family and close relatives but knowing his mother and their family status, Kyle knew that only the best would be arranged for them. He also knew that despite his mother insisting him on being casual his father would have wanted him looking 'presentable' and he had tried to do his best. Once Rose was ready he climbed down the staircase and entered the living room
that was all decorated. Smiling first at Rose hoping she didn't think his family was showing off too much he turned his attention to his mother and said "Looks like its going to be a hell of a party". He looked around realizing that none of his cousins and aunts/uncles had arrived yet. He was particularly interested in meeting his cousins from France and his young aunt. He knew his mother's family did not get along very well with Genevieve Rosewood, his mother's younger sister after she had decided to chose a carrier in fashion rather than doing something magical so he had sent her an invitation on his own because he loved to have her around. He knew his mother would not mind because no matter what the situation was his mother would always smile and be polite especially when they were surrounded with people.

Dietrich was not at all excited about this little "family gathering" Camilia was having. He wasn't excited to see his older brothers. The only person he was probably excited to see was his sister. That was it. Dee had only been making a mess of things while Camilia and the maids were setting up, so Camilia had locked him in the library. How horrid. How was he supposed to get ready when he was locked in a library? Dietrich just couldn't believe his sister-in-law had done such a mean thing to him. He thought she loved him. Dietrich just used some magic to mess up the entire library. He mixed all the books up so they were not alphabetized or in any type of order. Messing up his brother's home was fun. Dietrich loved giving his brother all types of hell. He was the youngest after all. He did things to get attention. He had managed to annoy all of his siblings his whole life. It was a much harder job than being a Quidditch player for sure. He hoped all of his competitors felt insulted. Dietrich laid down with his back on the table. He was bored now. When was that stupid party starting? Dee heard the door open. He sat up to see Patrick at the door. "Finally! Is this seriously how you guys treat your own family? Mom would be ashamed." he spat and walked past his brother and to his room.

Dietrich quickly changed clothes. He dressed simple. Jeans and a flashy light blue button up shirt. He made sure his hair was perfect before he went downstairs. He messed up Kyle's hair before he went and sat down lazily on one of the couches. This was going to be boring, and he was sure Patrick was going to try and rub in everyone's face about how successful he was. He would laugh if no one showed because of that reason alone. He wondered where Patrick was. Maybe he could go bother him.

The sound of her heels was loud enough to be heard all the way to the Manor. As she walked down the long drive way,she was nervous and excited at the same time.It had been four years since she had last seen her big sister. They had parted on bad terms and she hoped that after these four years Camilia had forgiven her.She highly doubted it but she hoped for it none the less.

Genevieve reached the front porch and climbed the few steps to the door. She raised her hand to the brass knocker but hesitated.Camilia had not invited her to this Christmas dinner but her son and Genna's beloved nephew Kyle had,and Genna wasn't used to gate crashing parties. But someone had to take the first step to close the gap that had formed between the two sisters.

She knocked on the door and a few moments later it was opened by the old butler of the house."Miss Rosewood It's so good to see you" he said in a respectful and pleasant voice.Genna had great respect for the old man and replied with a warm smile,"It is great to see you too Mr.Williams."

The butler led her through the huge entrance hallway, which was lavishly decorated in Camilia's taste, with elegant chandeliers with thousands of candles in them,to the living room where the gathering was going to be held. Before entering Genevieve wondered what would be Camilia's reaction to her.She knew that Kyle would be very pleased that she came and she was sure Patrick would be happy to have one more person to whom he could boast about his business ventures.

Genevieve Rosewood, the famous supermodel from Paris entered the living room with a timid smile and her hands carrying two bags of gifts, which was not normal because she never carried anything on her own.She also realized that she was apparently the first guest and that it was going to be a very awkward moment to be alone with the Cavanaughs unless someone else turned up.Soon.

Rose had had a rollar coaster of a year. She had moved out of the house. She had got lots of letters from Lucie asking her to return but Rose had seen her Papa when she had returned. She knew staying away from him was the best thing it hadnt been the easiest, it had been the hardest thing she had ever done. She still hadn't gotten over it. There were some nights she would cry herself to sleep but they were very rare these days thankfully. She was moving on and getting over the fact she would not see her Papa. She was by herself now, she knew that in the end this would all be worth it but that didn't make anything easier.

She was staying with Kyle for the holidays. She was very thankful to him and his family for letting her stay. She and Kyle were good friends but they hadn't known each other very long but she had still been allowed stay. She was glad as she was still trying to organize an alternative place for her to stay. She wasn't too worried at the moment. She knew there were plenty of places for her to stay. But they were all around where she lived and she wanted for now to be as far away as she could from her Papa.

Rose was currently getting http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=66379335 . She had gone shopping once she had found out about this party. She hadn't expected a party, she hadn't expected Kyle's house. It was huge, her house was nothing compared to Kyle's. They had so much money. Rose had felt insignificant when she had seen the house. Her whole lifestyle was nothing compared to theirs. She didn't mind though she had gotten used to it. Well not completely.

She was a bit nervous about this party. She was going to meet all of Kyle's family, which was a bit daunting and why she wanted to make a good impression. She was finishing off her hair when she heard a knock on the door. "One minute"She said getting up from her chair and walking out. She smiled at Kyle "Looking lovely"She said. Before following him down the stairs into the living room. No one seemed to have arrived yet so Rose waited patiently beside Kyle. She smiled politely at Mrs Cavanagh, still not comfortable enough to be her true self.

Soon a woman walked into the room. She was very pretty but seemed a bit awkward or maybe that was just Rose "Who is that?"She whispered to Kyle.

Kyle was happy to have his friend Rose over for the holidays. He hoped his family and him were being hospitable enough and making Rose comfortable but sometimes when they were surrounded by his family members, Rose didn't seem quite herself. "You look nice yourself, better than the yule ball if I may say" Kyle said complimenting Rose with a grin. They had attended their first yule ball together as friends and Rose had looked very nice but nothing compared to today. As they waited in the living room for people to arrive, Kyle said to Rose "I hope you had fun seeing the sights." Kyle had taken Rose, of course his mother had accompanied them since they were just kids to see all the famous places in London. They had seen the wizarding part of London first and it was pretty amazing. A year back at this time Kyle had been hoping to get a letter from Hogwarts Scotland but he hadn't as all the seats were full. Hogwarts New Zealand had turned out to be pretty awesome but schooling here would have been a completely different experience. After covering Diagon Alley and the near by wizarding areas, they had moved to the muggle London which was gorgeous. They had seen the Buckingham palace, Madame Tussauds, most of the famous churches and museums and they had also taken a turn of the London's eye. For Kyle it had been one of the best days in his life. "There are so many other places we could go to, we still have a few days left but mother said we should ask you if there is any place in particular you want to see" Kyle told Rose wanting to know what she had in mind.

Soon his uncle,Dietrich arrived. He was one of Kyle's favorite person apart from his parents and his aunt Genna. One day he wanted to play Internation Qudditch like Dietrich. "Uncle!" he said with a wide smile as he walked and gave Dietrich a hug. He loved talking to him and getting all the stories on International Qudditch games that Kyle had missed due to having school. "I've missed you. How are you?"he asked smiling up at Dietrich. Kyle knew his manners well and knew that introductions were necessary. Just as he was about to introduce Rose to his uncle he heard footsteps and in came Genna. "Hey" he said with another big smile. He heard Rose ask about her and Kyle knew that many people would do so. His aunt was the prettiest person he had seen. Giving his aunt a hug he said "It's so good to see you." He had not seen is aunt for two years now. He knew that his mother had some differences with her young sister but Kyle had always loved having Genevieve around. "By the way, this is my friend Rose Bellard. She's in Gryffindor too" he told his aunt and uncle. "Rose this is my paternal uncle, Dietrich and this is my maternal aunt, Genevieve" he said with a grin. He was so happy to see his aunt and uncle and couldn't wait to talk to them about everything they had been up to lately.

Patrick rolled his eyes as his wife once again shooed him into his study. By Merlin if she didn't stop doing it he was going to do something he was sure he would later regret. Although, being up here did give him time to work on all his finances and some of the new blueprints for a super broom. Not that he really held that to much luck. He had nearly fired and replaced ninety percent of his workers in the last three months and really he was getting cranky. They were incompetent and lazy and he was on the verge of designing one himself. He had spoken to Camilia about it, but she had simply patted his shoulder, kissed his cheek and told him everything was going to be fine. Of course it was what she always said and she had yet to say anything that could be called a prophecy. So far, she had not been right. She was always angry with him for firing the staff, but if he didn't fire them, he was going to bloody kill them. He didn't really fancy a stint in Azkaban. That would not make his job easier at all. The only thing he supposed he was looking forward too tonight was the fact that he could boast about how successful he was to his family. Of course Genna possibly had boasting rights as well, but hers was all beauty. Not brain, like his. Genna was really only tolerable because she was pretty. Of course so was Camilia, but that meant nothing. If Genna caused trouble tonight, he was staying well away from it.

Eventually it came time to go downstairs and great the guests. Before heading down himself, Patrick made his way to the library to collect his idiot brother before he did any damage. knocking on the door, Dietrich opened it and proceeded to walk past him. Looking inside the library, Patrick growled at the mess he saw. Bloody Dietrich! Sometimes he wished Camilia had learned to say no. As it was, he had his brother and his son's friend currently staying in his house. It was awfully hard to do things with pests in the way. He rolled his eyes and waved his wand around the room, replacing everything where it was supposed to be and fixing anything that might have been broken. He was going to tell Camilia about this. Might make her think twice about inviting people to stay in his house. Taking one last look around the library, Patrick made for the master bedroom and decided that if he was going to have to attend Camilia's party, he was going to wear whatever the hell he wanted, whether she liked it or not. Being finally ready, Patrick made his way downstairs and smiled at Camilia, kissing her lightly and whispering quietly in her ear. He trashed the bloody place..." He knew she would know who he was talking about. He did not have to explain. Then he spotted Kyle and his little friend, though he had forgotten her name. She did however look very nice and he was sure Camilia would be upset that they were all being formal. He wasn't of course, he usually was, but not to day. He dared to be different.

"Kyle, is everything going well for you and your...ah, friend?" He asked, attempting to spot Dietrich in the house. He looked back at the girl and nodded at her. "You look lovely my dear. That dress suits you." Patrick smiled to Genna and offered his arm for her to take. "I am delighted you came this evening Genna. It is very good to see you indeed." She was possibly the only one he even remotely wanted in his house tonight. Before long though, many more would be arriving. He was going to have to pay the maids extra after this one.

Sorry I was so late with this guys.

"It's great to see you too mon Cherie," Genna said putting her arms around Kyle's shoulders.Genna loved her nephew a lot because of his spirit and enthusiasm. Now he looked so much older and school had definitely changed his behaviour. For one,he wasn't bobbing up and down on the balls of his feet waiting for his Christmas present."I know this line is totally cliche, but you look so grown up!" she exclaimed as she pulled back from him to get a good look at his face.He resembled Patrick in his high cheek bones and grey-green eyes. But he also had Camilia's features only they weren't as dominant."I hope your school is treating you well,I mean even Hogwarts doesn't have a three course meal like the one Cami prepares."

Genevieve noticed the pretty girl standing next to Kyle and curiosity burned within her.She wondered if she was just Kyle's friend or something more but she didn't voice her question because she didn't want to embarrass either of them.Instead she leaned down and kissed her on both cheeks."Ah Rose,a lovely name for a lovely little lady. It's always great to meet a friend of Kyle's" she told her with a welcoming smile, hoping that the girl didn't feel too awkward at this family dinner. After all, even though Genna was a part of the family, she still felt out of place.

She turned towards Patrick and took his arm."I am glad I came too.I had to cancel two shoots and a show but it was worth seeing you all." she said with warmth.Patrick had always tolerated her and her muggle career. She didn't know the exact reason behind him tolerating her with ease but she guessed it had something to do with her good looks. She was still nervous about Camilia's reaction towards her but she knew her sister well enough to know that she would not insult her infront of everyone. It would either happen later or never. At least not now

A part of Camilia had not expected to see her sister. She knew Kyle loved her, so a part of her had expected it. She was still disappointed that her sister had decided to go and pursue a muggle career, leaving her all alone to deal with the business and her husband. He fired at least three people a day, and it was not good for their reputation. It silently irritated Camilia. She knew how to control herself and her emotions. She did not want to ruin a night she and the maids worked so hard to create. Everyone knew had bad of an attitude Camilia could have. Dietrich had only seen a glimpse of it, she never had to really get angry at her brother-in-law. He was only a child seeking attention and acceptance from his family. She did not mind that at all. Camilia snapped her fingers and waiters came balancing glasses of sweet cider on a circular tray. It was perfect for the night. It was non-alcoholic, so Rose and Kyle wouldn't feel left out. "You both look marvelous!" she said to Kyle and Rose, giving each of them a hug. It was so nice to see her son growing up, and this Rose girl was just such a sweetheart. She had enjoyed having her stay and keep her son company.

Camilia saw her husband approaching her. He was probably mad that he had to go and free Dietrich from the library. Why Patrick disliked his brother so much she did not know. She did not really care for their feuding or whatever it was with each other. They were still family, and they had to at least hug each other once in awhile, but she was sure Patrick would rather die than hug his brother. By the look in her husband's eyes she knew he needed to tell her something. She kissed him on the ear and listened to what he had to say. She giggled. "It doesn't really matter now, does it? Because I am sure you cleaned it up already." she told him gently and walked away. She swore she had saw Dietrich for a moment, but then he had disappeared. How annoying. She watched as her sister conversed with Patrick and Kyle. Cam thought it best she did not say anything, but she kept a smile on her face to keep people from worrying about what was wrong. She wondered where everyone else was.

Dietrich did not like these kinds of parties. He only liked them if he was drunk, but Kyle was here, and he was not going to embarrass him in front of his friend. That would make him look like a horrible uncle. Dee did not really want to get up from the couch. He felt that the couch was more happy to be with him than his brother. Maybe this was all a bad idea. Maybe he should have stayed with a friend. Staying with his brother was not very good for his health. He sat up. Staying here and watching his brother succeed is not what he liked to see. He saw through his brother and all his smiles. Camilia was just too devoted to see any of it. Dietrich got up and got a glass of sweet cider. From the back of his pocket he pulled out a small vial with some firewhiskey in it. He uncapped it and poured the contents into the cup. At times like these, when Dietrich was thinking, he had to drink. Thinking was a dangerous sport, and he tried to not do much of it. He walked over to where the conversation was. Kyle gave him a hug and Dee simply just patted him on the back. "I am just great, Kyle." he told his nephew. He took of drink of his drink. Camilia did not seem to be talking much. Dee politely nodded his head toward Genevieve as a greeting. For a moment, he looked at his brother, but then he looked away before he threw something. He tried to think of something that would not make this so boring. Music. His specialty. "Lets add some music to this party!" he exclaimed. He apparated over to DJ stand Camilia had set up. He had a few records with him. He decided to play something that was semi appropriate for the occasion. Something light but heavy.

So, I'll just jump in, then Kyle?

Patrick rather liked having Genna on his arm, not that he would ever admitt it though. He knew that everyone was at logger heads with her for having a muggle career. He wasn't exactly impressed by the idea either, but if it made her happy, who was he to judge? He smirked as she mentioned her cancellations and shook his head. He would have rathered be at work right now, but if he was going to have to be here, he wanted to be in the company of the best people and have a few good stories up his sleeves to tell. "Well, I suppose you are lucky that your manager saw fit to give you the time off yes?" He asked, grabbing two glasses of Cider off of a tray and passing one to Genna. It was only on rare occassions that he got to see her, and not in the last two years. Not that he cared whether or not the sisters reconciled, but it would definitely be easier for him. Maybe Camilia wouldn't be in such a sour mood anymore when her sister's name was mentioned. It was really doing horrors for his s*x drive. "So tell me Genna, how goes work? Are you happy? Any grievances with your boss?" He asked curiously. There was no point to bragging yet, there were not enough people.

Soon, Patrick found himself cringing as his brother found the music. Atleast though it was mildly appropriate. He shook his head and looked back at Genna. "You will have to excuse the music. Camilia saw fit to allow my idiot brother near the music thing." He told her. He didn't much care for anything that wasn't his work or people he could fire. That "music thing" as he called it held no interest for him. It was one of the many reasons he does not refer to it by name. "His taste in music is rather... askew". He added, taking a sip of his Cider and continuing to take in the proceedings of the party. Patrick did find himself wondering as to where his brother was. Though, knowing Jerome, he would arrive "Fashionably Late".

Rose blushed slightly and smiled. Her appearance didn't get complimented much so anything nice said about her made her blush. She was happy that she wasn't over dressed or looking out of place. She did like the dress she had bought, she wasn't one to splash out on clothes but today she would be making first impressions to a lot of people, a lot of powerful, rich people and Rose wanted to look her best. "It was amazing"Rose said her smile huge. She had loved touring around London. The place was amazing. She had loved all the art museums, the history there had been great. She would love to go and see a concert in the Royal Albert Hall, maybe when she came back here she would go see a musical or concert. The magical part of London had been amazing. So many different types of shops there. Gringotts back had been pretty cool as had the other sights. Going on the London's eye had been amazing. The view had been spectacular. Rose had lots of pictures, she wanted to make a scrap book of her stay with Kyle. She had had an amazing time and had helped him get over leaving her Papa. There was one place Rose wanted to go but she wasn't sure whether they would be able to go there. "Well I'd love to visit the Royal Albert Hall"She said shyly. If they couldn't go Rose would live on but that was really one of the only places she would love to visit.

Kyle's uncle came up, Rose had heard a lot about him from Kyle. He really adored him. "Nice to meet you"She said smiling. Next the lady that Rose had asked Kyle came up.It turned out she was Kyle's aunt. She was very beautiful. Rose was slightly flustered when she kissed her two chicks and complimented her name. "Thank you, its lovely to meet you"Rose said smiling.Kyle's Dad came up, Rose wasn't sure how she felt towards him still. She didn't feel particularly welcome around him which at first had bothered her but not so much anymore. She hadn't been kicked out and even though she would like him to like her there was nothing to be done. "Thank you Mr Cavanagh"She said smiling politely. So far Rose liked the party. Kyle's family was nice. Rose liked Kyle's mam the most. She was really nice and she had enjoyed exploring London with her and Kyle.

Sorry for the lameness :r

Kyle loved his aunt Genna despite her habit of using his nickname which he hated. It had been there for such a long time he had forgotten how it had first started but he tried to ignore it because he was just glad to have her here. "My school's great. First I was sad to not be in Hogwarts Scotland but its very nice there as well. Especially with all the wizarding villages and things starting in New Zealand" he explained with a smile to his dear aunt Genna. He ignored her calling her all grown up. She knew adults had this habit of 'oh, look how grown up you look etc'. Even she looked different but no one said anything about that. Kyle could not decide if he liked her aunt's hair cut or not. He liked girls with long hair so he ruled out his decision about her aunt's hair cut into not cool. But somehow unlike other people she carried it off well.

Kyle was going to ask his uncle more on how Qudditch just as he suggested that some music would be good and went to see to that. Kyle knew that other than Qudditch his uncle liked being a DJ. He had sort of similar taste in music like his uncle but he preferred to stick to the songs that were made after he was born. Turning to Rose he smiled as she told him what she wanted to see. "Sure. We went there last time I was here but it slipped out of my mind. I'll tell mother to get us tickets" he told Rose happy to see her saying what she wanted and being a little more open. Kyle heard the music start and it was nice and fitted with the party. "Lets go get some cider" he told Rose leading her to the dinning area. Giving Rose a glass and taking one for himself, he took a small sip letting the drink refresh him. He hoped his mother would be okay with his aunt and they would just talk and sort it out. His father seemed to be nice about having her over and Kyle was glad she felt welcome.

He headed to his uncle once again, taking Rose with him. "Uncle, you have to tell me all about the Qudditch matches" he said curiosity and excitement lighting up his face. He had read the out come in the papers but the inside story was a whole different thing.

sorry for the lateness

Jerome was fashionably late, as it could be described. He brushed his hair back and exited his home in France with his daughter, Romiah. She was not exactly looking forward to this family gathering, he wasn't entirely sure why she didn't want to go, but he wasn't really sure he wanted to dive into the workings of a teenage girl. He held his daughters wrist firmly and flourished his wand, apparating to his brothers rather oversized house. You would think he was housing a million people with the amount of rooms the place probably had. "Now Romiah, try to behave please." He instructed, smiling down at his daughter, then walking up to the front door and knocking three times. Jerome was happy to see his family... occasionally, as was his daughter. But he had to admit, his brothers both had their exceedingly annoying quirks. While Patrick was just downright snide and arrogant, to the point that Jerome would consider hexing him, Dietrich was just like an untamed animal with his antics. At least he had Quidditcch to expel his energy, Jerome didn't want to think about a world where Dietrich had nothing to do. It was far too horrifying.

Once the door was opened and he was allowed inside, Jerome let his more charming persona take over and he smiled warmly at his kin, even though he could point out annoying things about most of them. He spotted his nephew and headed towards him, Romiah at his heel. "Kyle, you've certainly grown since I last saw you." He commented, nodding towards the young girl near him. Wasn't he a bit young to have a girlfriend? What father would let his little girl have a boyfriend at the ages Kyle and this girl were? If that girl were Jerome's daughter, she'd be at home where she could be supervised, not at some boy's house. He nodded to Dietrich, whom didn;t appear to be doing much of anything, so he simply said a quite 'hello' and moved on. He then went over to Camilia to greet her, it was only polite and she was probably one of the most tolerable people in the room. "Hello Camilia, you've done a fine job.'' He coplimented, making sure he didn't take much notice of Patrick. He was having a good day, he didn't want it destroyed quite yet by getting into a 'discussion' with his little brother.

Genna soon realized that Camilia wasn't going to say anything to her because she was afraid to make a scene.A hello would have been nice though and Genna was put down a little at the coldness she was getting from her sister.Of course they had never been very close because of the age difference but Genna had always thought of Cami as her role model. But all that had changed after she married Patrick and became more and more like him by staying in his company. And the irony was that now Patrick was being more sociable than her.

"Well he didn't have much of an option, you see if he keeps me happy I keep up the good name of our agency by behaving, at least as well as I can, but if he gives me grief than he knows that there are many agencies out there that want me." Genna explained to Patrick. The Ceo of Panache himself didn't have much control over her because they all knew how in demand she was and that she didn't need them."And if that formula doesn't work then there is always the magic wand I carry in my jacket.A little confusing charm doesn't hurt anyone."she said with a light laugh. She had often confunded people, erased their memory and used magic to get her way in the ruthless industry.

"Thanks for asking, my work is going great and I am very happy in France. How is your company going? I hear from Kyle that you have been tensed lately, what's that about?" she asked him.Kyle had mentioned something about him firing a lot of people lately and that wasn't good for Thunderbroom's reputation.Even though Genna had chosen a different career she still cared for the welfare of her father's companies.

"No Patrick, the music is fine, maybe it is you,who has become a bit old fashioned" she said teasingly. The music was actually quite alright and to her taste.Deitrich wasn't a bad DJ but maybe he needed to be more serious in life. The team for which he played Quidditch was international but not that good and you could only play that sport as long as your limbs stay together.Genna knew that the three brothers weren't exactly the three musketeers just like she and her sister werent bffs.Talk about messed up relations she thought as she saw the third Cavanaugh Brother arrive with his daughter.Jerome lived in France and Genna had visited him in the time when she had finished her schooling and didn't know what career to choose. The man was the most agreeable one out of the three brothers and Genna greeted him with a friendly smile and a "Hello Jerome, how are you doing? It's been a long time."

Dietrich had finished half his glass by the time Kyle came over. He was already starting to feel a little dizzy. A few minutes ago he was trying not to drink, and now he was almost drink. Dee sighed and looked up at Kyle and his friend. "The matches? What do you want to know, Kyle?" he asked. He was trying so hard not to slur his words. He did not want Camilia to lock him in the library or the basement. His sister-in-law would be pissed if he ruined this party. She would be out for his freaking neck. Not like anyone was having fun anyways. It was just awkward and Patrick was flirting with Genna because he was tired of his wife. It was totally that simple. Jerome had finally arrived. He was late, as usual. His oldest brother simply said hello to him and walked off. "Seriously? You aren't going to hug me, J?" he shouted as his brother walked away. *******. All of his brothers were jerks. It was all because he was the youngest. They wondered why he made their lives hell when he could. Romiah was at her father's heels. She hadn't greeted him either! How annoying. Everyone was lucky that he left his wand upstairs. Dietrich turned his gaze back to Kyle. "We should pull a prank on your father." he whispered. It was not like Patrick didn't deserve something bad happening to him. He chugged down the rest of his drink. Camilia was going to kill him later. He just knew it.

Romiah really hated apparating, it made her head spin and her stomach go all crazy. She sighed and nodded to her father. He was way too serious sometimes, well... all the time. It was really irritating that she couldn't do stuff other people got to do. She waited patiently outside the door, and when her and her father were allowed inside, she followed him through the room, smiling at her relatives. She wasn't sure what the deal was with half of them, she wasn't stupid. She knew that they didn't appear to get along, but she wasn't entirely sure why. She didn't want to get too far into it, because she loved all her relatives, but right now she'd rather be in France, not because they weren't good enough for her, but because France was her home, and she was already starting to feel homesick. She smiled at her cousin, Kyle, and the girl he was with, but chose to not say anything. She was a quiet person when around family. When her dad walked away to go off and do something, Romiah wasn't sure what she was supposed to do. Talk to family? They all seemed to be in their own conversations by now, so she just decided to do the reasonable thing and stand back against the wall and watch. Family get togethers were usually interesting to observe, something always happens.

Patrick smiled at Genna. She was definitely not alot like Camilia when it came to her looks or her attitude. He had often found himself imagining all kinds of things with her. Not that his flights of fancy would ever come to pass. Genna respected her sister too much for that. Besides, there was no where they could go right now, that would not attract suspicion. As it was, Camilia, he was sure, suspected about his flings, but she had not said anything, she obviously had no proof, if'n it were true that she did suspect. He did love Camilia, but he often found himself to be getting bored of her. That was the problem. She also wanted another kid, which he had been careful to ensure would never been conceived. They had not been overly intimate in quite awhile because of her predilection for trickery. Sometimes, she was just as bad as Dietrich. He nodded as Genna mentioned her manager. That seemed reasonable. She was famous enough in the muggle world, for even some of his staff to notice. Which was rather amusing, when he showed them a picture of she and Camilia together as children, proving that he in fact knew her, and rather well too. Some of his staff were convinced that he had slept with her. But he never cared, whether it were true or not, which it wasn't, what they took from it was there business, who was he to deny them some gossip? "Well, that sounds reasonable enough. You are too good at your job for them to try and replace you know. I am sure that a Model of your caliber is rare to come by these days?" He asked, moving closer to one of the many lounges. He was very discreetly, holding her arm in a sensual way, without being too obvious, though he was sure Genna would both know about it, and ignore it. She usually did, sometimes not, but those were the more interesting of their meetings.

Patrick smiled as Genna spoke about her work. So atleast she was comfortable in her job, he was glad of that small mercy atleast. She asked about his work, and he rolled his eyes and sighed. Trust Kyle to go blabbing to his kind and caring Aunt about everything that involved his parents. He shrugged and shook his head. He didn't really want to talk about it, though he did admitt that Genna was a wonderful listener, it wasn't really his style to go around chatting about his dismal personnel outside of the office. He gave them atleast some dignity. "Ah, not too worry to much there M'dear. As it so happens I had a rather good day yesterday." He lied smoothly. Truth was, if he didn't get this broom into action soon, he was going to lose some of his sponsors. They had been waiting for well over a year now and he didn't have much time left. He had a few new blue prints to go over in the bedroom, hopefully one of them would hold the key to his sanity. "Kyle has a tendency to exaggerate. Do I look tense to you?" He asked, smirking at her and turning around on his heel so that she could see that he was not tense. He was mentally tense yes, but no longer physically tense. Though Camilia was worried that he would die at a young age if he didn't let her handle somethings, he just couldn't leave his beloved company in the hands of his wife. She meant well and all, but sometimes, she did things very differently to himself. In all honesty, he would have rather let Jerome near it over his sometimes ditsy wife.

When Genna commented on the music, Patrick shrugged and laughed slightly, perhaps she was right, but he was not going to admitt it, especially in front of his brother. Dietrich had a tendency to let things go to his head, which was always a problem, he could be very rash with his decisions and he had the mood swings of a pregnant lady. It was rather embarrassing to ever be seen out in public with him. He had been like that even as a child and Patrick often found himself wondering why he ever tolerated his brother in his house. The answer was a simple as the question, he loved Dietrich, no questions asked, but he didn't exactly like, or get along with him all that well. He could tolerate Jerome, that was easy, he was kind of a pushover anyway. Of the three of them, Jerome was always the more responsible one. As children, Patrick and Dietrich, who are closer in age, would often gang up on Jerome. Their brotherly love however seems to have stopped once they were all at school. They had taken different paths by then and things had just fallen apart. Nothing that could be done now though. It had happened a long time ago. "You are probably right about the music," He said, whispering in Genna's ear, "just don't tell him that." He added, making sure she would not go blabbing to Dietrich about it. Even though he already knew she wouldn't.

Jerome soon arrived with Romiah and Patrick's eyes lit up slightly when he saw his niece. He loved her very much and he was happy that she had come. He had a gift for her, as he often did. Taking into account that his dear brother had ignored him, he proceeded to do just the same and turned to Genna quickly. "Forgive, I will be right back. I have to go and get something." He then procceeded to race up the stairs to the bedroom to find what he was after and returned almost immediately. He saw Romiah smile at him and he held his arms out to her and pulled her into a hug, having knelt down to her level. She was alot bigger then the last time he saw her and he was sure that her English would have improved by now. But to be on the safe side, he decided to speak in French. "Romiah, you look lovely. How are you?" He asked, putting his hand in his pocket to retrieve the Ruby Pendant, he had spent alot of money on. He liked to upset his brother by buying expensive gifts for his children. That way he was the cool Uncle and their father was the guy who never let them keep their presents. He held the little box that contained the pendant out to her and waited for her reaction. He always knew the things she and her brother would like, but seeing as the brother wasn't here, he would not be getting his present today. He would just have to send it home with Jerome. "What do you say kid. Do you like it? Am I still cool Uncle Patrick?" He asked, hugging her again.

<FONT font="Times New Roman">Jerome frowned when he heard Dietrich's voice. maybe there will be a day when Dietrich loses his voice, and it never returns. The man turned on his heel and made his way back to his baby brother. "How could I forget you?" He said, feigning interest and pulling him into a very brief hug. Whilst in the hug, he shook his head. "Call me 'J' again, and you will regret it." Dietrich should know how much Jerome hated that silly little nickname. His name was Jerome, and that was what he expected family to call him. He released his brother and walked away. The nightmare now over.

Jerome smiled as Genevieve spoke. It had been quite a long time since they had caught up. He was just too busy to socialise as much as he had, back in the day. Also the fact that his wife was quite jealous of any woman that acquired her husbands attention. Jerome wasn't one that liked to stur the pot when it came to his wife, it was just easier to not go out with friends as much, rather than dealing with his wife's wrath. Genevieve would probably have witnessed the pointed end of his wife's sharp tongue, because he couldn't always be around when she came to visit. He kept it polite and brief, because he spotted his no-good brother going towards Romiah, and that only meant one thing. "Genevueve, you're quite right, it has been awhile." He gave her a quick friendly hug. " I have been well, I trust you are the same. I would love to continue this, but I must speak to my brother for a moment. If you will excuse me." And with the speed of lightning, Jerome was over to where Romiah and Patrick were, just in time to see a particularly expensive gift in his daughters hands. He frowned, Patrick always did this. "Patrick! For Gods sake, don't give her that!" He plucked the gift from his daughters hands and closed it back up. He then gave it back to Patrick. "Buy her a doll if you must get her something." He was scolding him again, this always happened but it was Patrick's own fault.

Yes. Camilia was not going to say anything to her sister. It was only for her own good. Genna's feelings may have been hurt, but Camilia had been hurt more when she decided to go off into the muggle world. What was so satisfying about a muggle career? She loved her husband dearly, but he was going to make her father's company plummet into the ground if he did not get his act together. It made her so irritated. She had to keep her cool though. She was not supposed to be thinking about work at the moment. This was supposed to be her free time. At the moment, the mere thought of work made her angry. She had a tendency to drink when she was not feeling very happy. Strangely, her and Dietrich had the same problem. Patrick had told her and more than one occasion that she and Dietrich were too much alike. Well, it was his fault for marrying her.

Camilia tuned out her husband and Genna. Her sister felt like she had the right to ask about the company. She had no right. Cam thought she should just worry about herself. Soon, Jerome came. Camilia was relieved. He came over and greeted her. She came her brother-in-law a big hug. "I am very delighted to see you were able to make it here!" she said happily and let him go. Now all three of the brothers were here. The three Cavanaugh boys needed to be around each other. They all used to be so close, but now they were so separate. She did not want them to be like her and her sister. Camilia was not really looking to mend things with her sister. She was too angry with her for that. She giggled when Dietrich called his brother back over. How adorable. "You should be nicer to him, Jerome. He won't admit it, but he misses you." she told him before he went over to give Dietrich a hug. She could understand why Patrick and Jerome avoided Dietrich. He was always causing trouble. It was only because he wanted attention from the people he secretly adored.

Kyle grinned excitedly as Dietrich asked him what it was about the matches that he wanted to know. "Everything. How is Falmouth Falcons doing at the games? How many goals you scored, and any new tactics if your team has developed any" Kyle listed down carefully, making sure he didn't miss out on anything. If his uncle was staying with them and was free sometime, Kyle could learn a thing or two that he could suggest next year for the Gryffindor team. He didn't know if Rose liked playing Qudditch. She hadn't mentioned anything on the subject to him but he hoped she would enjoy some details too, after all, this was International Qudditch. Kyle turned his head to the sound of the opening of the door before he could continue asking his uncle more questions. It was his elder uncle, Jerome."Good evening uncle" he said with a smile as he hugged him. Kyle ignored the growing up comment and watched as his uncle Dietrich complained about getting no hugs from his elder brother. He knew there were problems between his father and his brothers but they loved each other and for now he was young and did not want to meddle into any adult's business. "Hi Romiah" Kyle greeted her cousin from France with a warm smile. "This is my friend Rose from school. She lives in France too" Kyle said introducing Romiah to Rose in fluent French. He hoped the girls would find something in common and like each other eventually. "How is Beauxbatons treating you?"he asked his cousin curious to know how her school life was going.

Kyle watched as his father gave Romiah a gift. He was not jealous. He had enough things, some of which he didn't need. He did not understand the complex ways that made Jerome tell Patrick that a doll should have been better. Romiah was thirteen after all and a doll was hardly something she would like anymore. Maybe a broomstick but then again the necklace was good too. He turned to his uncle once again as he heard him suggest pulling a prank on his father. If they were caught, it would be like Kyle's nightmare was coming alive but if somehow he could convince his father that his brothers were behind it then it might be a fun turn of events. "That sounds good" Kyle said, his eyes twinkling at the idea of a prank. His last prank had been grand and had cost Gryffindor twenty house points, something his father did not know yet and Kyle hoped that it would stay that way. This prank needed to be of higher standards. "Do you have any ideas?"he asked Dietrich unable to think of something an adult would fall for.

On the inside, Dietrich was happy Jerome had decided to give him a hug. This was one of the rare times he was able to see his brother, and he atleast wanted a hug to remember him by if fate decided to kill him soon. His brothers did not think about such things, but Dietrich did. He was more emotional than his brothers knew, or he was just drunk. "Don't ignore me then." he said softly and leaned into the hug. Jerome soon pulled away. Dietrich simply turned on his heel and went back to Kyle. How simple was that? The hug was, like, ten seconds and he already knew that Jerome was complaining in his head. His brothers were so dramatic when it came to Dietrich. Whenever he pranked them, they would exaggerate Dietrich's simple stunt to, "It almost killed me!" They were just mad they could never get him back. He knew his brothers like the back of his hands. They never would be able to get him back. They were too old anyways.

Dietrich had not expected Kyle to want to know so much about his Quidditch career. With the questions Kyle was asking, he was going to actually think. Well, hard thinking was not something Dietrich was able to do at the moment. "How about some other time, Kyle? I am dru-dizzy at the moment." he quickly corrected himself. He had a feeling his little nephew would be disappointed. Dietrich was just not in the mood to explain a bunch of things. His stomach was starting to hurt. Ugh. Was he getting ready to puke? Normally, his body would not react like this to Firewhiskey. "Go wait for me in he kitchen." he told Kyle. He looked over to his brothers who were currently occupied. Dietrich casually walked up the stairs and to his room. He shut and locked the door before he started to wildly rummage through his stuff looking for his can of shavi cream. He found it under his bed. He shrunk it and stuck it into his pocket. He walked out of his room and headed downstairs again. He walked into the kitchen. "Where is the pie?" he asked one of the maids. She walked away and came back with a piece of pie. Luckily, there was no whipped cream on it. "Watch the master." he smiled and took out the shaving cream. It grew to it's regular size. Dietrich shook it up, and, like a boss, he squirted some onto the pie. He shrunk he shaving cream once more and stuffed in his pocket. "Start serving the pie, and make sure they all have whipped cream." he told the maid. Dietrich handed the special piece of pie to Kyle. "Give that to your dad." he told him. He hoped this would work.

Kyle was a little disappointed as his uncle said that they would talk about Qudditch later. The prospect of the prank was more exciting and the young Gryffindor got over Qudditch soon.Kyle had always wanted to pull a prank on his father. He had taken Kyle's broom without informing him and a little prank would serve Patrick right. He excused himself from his cousin and Rose and headed towards the kitchen. In a minute his uncle was back. Kyle wondered what they were about to do. He knew he would put all the blame on Dietrich when they got caught. He watched, grinning as his uncle put shaving cream on the pie piece. This was going to be more fun. "Okay" he said obliging to his uncle's words. He waited for the maids to put whipped cream on the other pie and took all of it to the table. He asked the maids to serve pie to his other family members and took this piece to his father. "Father, some pie for you and aunt Genna" he said handing her aunt the safe pie and waiting for his dad to take the piece with the shaving cream.

Genna was getting bored of Patrick very fast. Even though he tried to hold her attention with his light banter and small talk, Genna was starting to long for the company of her nephew Kyle.Afterall it was him that she had come to meet and it was his carefree spirit that she loved and that set him apart from his father. She was also slightly nervous about her sister's continual to ignore her and the fact that Patrick chose to stay by her side instead of his wife's.Genna had always suspected that Patrick was bored of Camilia and that he must have flings outside of his marriage but ever since she had finished school, she had noticed how Patrick looked at her sometimes. "Yes of course there is only one Genevieve Rosewood in the world, they wouldn't dare loosing her." After her many experiences in France, she could tell that he lusted for her.Who didn't? Almost every male she met looked at her with the same lust. But Genna had some ethics afterall. She didn't feel guilty if she had a physical relationship with some unknown woman's husband but she would never be involved with her sister's husband.Especially because she wanted to earn back her friendship. The question of whether she was attracted to Patrick or not was an entirely different one which was best left unanswered. She chose to ignore the way he held her hand.

As Patrick tried to convince her that he was not tense, Genna assumed that it was not something that he wanted to discuss and so she just said,"I'm relieved to hear that" with a smile. She looked about her and noticed Kyle talking to Deitrich. They must be up to something she tought as the studied their manner of speaking.Jerome had replied to her greeting but kept it rather short.Genna wondered how he could be so afraid of his wife even though he was in a different country all together. Jerome was another matter completely when it came to whom Genna would like to do.She wasn't attracted by his personality but sleeping with him would be a sort of achivement considering his loyalty to his wife and if she ever found out she be so infuriated. It would be the perfect revenge for her inhospitable behaviour whenever she went to visit them.As Patrick went to welcome Romiah,Genna was glad that she could silently slip away.

Since Cam showed no interest in talking to her,Genna headed toward's the DJ's platform where she saw Deitrich and Kyle. But before she reached it she saw Deitrich silently slip out of the room trying not to be noticed. They are definitely up to something. She walked up to Kyle and leaned down to his height,"What are you guys up to?" she asked him in a suspicious voice,"Tell me and I promise it stays secret, if you don't then I will find out on my own." she made her voice stern but not scary. She couldn't imagine scaring her nephew. When he told her what Deitrich's plan was,she laughed a bit and couldn't help but agree that it was a good plan. And then when Kyle offered the pastry to her and Patrick, she took her piece but waited for Patrick to bite his own because she knew it would be hilarious and didn't want to choke on her food.
