Kate sat up with a start. It took her a few moments to realise where she was. Through the haze of her sleepy mind she realised she was in fact still in the primary school classroom, sitting at her desk. She looked at her watch and her eyes widened when she realised what time it was. Kate was shocked, this never happened to her, no matter how tired she was. Unfortunately school had been very busy of late. She had a very large junior class this year and recently she was finding it very difficult to keep on top of things. She was generally home much later and in a foul mood much more often. She was constantly tired and generally when she arrived home she just fell onto the bed, asleep. Sighing, she quickly began gathering her things, still rubbing her sleepy eyes. As she walked through the corridors of the school she could feel her mood darken. She was cranky as she had just woken up. She also wasn't feeling the best. Her stomach was rolling around the place like she was on a boat. This did nothing for her mood. Despite this, she waved goodbye to the caretaker before finding her usual, quiet place and apparated. Unfortunately the minute she arrived in her back garden, she immediately got sick."Maybe apparting wasn't the best idea with a sore stomach"She thought to herself as she looked around her. She was beginning to get worried. Kate was for the most part healthy. Sure she had been sick in the past but it had been a long time since she had a tummy bug. This was in fact her second time getting sick. But for the moment she had a lot more on her mind. Stefan was probably wondering where the hell she was.

Quickly , with a spell she cleaned up the mess around her. She now felt tired, dirty and still a bit sick. She stood in front of the door, taking a few minutes before entering. She didn't want to take her mood out on Stefan and she already felt guilty for being so late with no explanation. She opened the door and plastered a smile on her face. She dropped her things at the door "Hey, I'm home"She called, taking off her jacket "So sorry, I'm late, I'll explain in two minutes, just need to go to the bathroom"She added before practically running to the bathroom. She didn't want him to smell any of the sick as he would worry and she didn't want him to. Locking the bathroom door behind her she stood in front of the mirror for a few minutes. She didn't look well, there were dark circles under her eyes and she just looked drained. Sighing she brushed her teeth and even gave her hair a brush. It was as she was putting the hair brush away , she saw something that made her heart stop. It wasn't until that moment she realised her visit from mother nature was late. She had been so busy lately and tired she had totally forgot. It hadn't been the most regular thing in her world which was why she only realised it now. Kate quickly sat on the toliet, her brain trying to register what was happening. She thought back to her and Stefan's conversation about trying for children. "No"She thought, even though she knew this was untrue. It would explain her exhaustion and why she had gotten sick. She bit her lip, she wanted to be sure. She didn't want to get excited over nothing. She quietly retrieved her wand from the bedroom before running in and locking the bathroom door once more. She looked at her watch, she knew a late night pharmacy so she quickly apparated, arriving in the alleyway beside the chemist. She thanked anyone looking down on her that she had a few notes in her back pocket. Once her item was purchased she ran down the alleyway and apparated back to the bathroom. She knew by this stage she had spent as awful amount of time in the bathroom but this was more important.

After a few minutes Kate had her answer. With shaking hands she held the device in front of her. She just stared at it, her eyes still disbelieving. But she could feel something else now, something warm and also excitement. Once this thought entered her head a huge grin lit up her face. "Stefan!"She suddenly called, wanting to share this wonderful news with him straight away. "Quickly come here!"She shouted once more, unlocking the bathroom.

It had been a pretty easy day for Stefan, there was nothing complex about working in the hogwarts school library, the simple day to day work that he did within the library was pretty much all he could've ever wanted from a job, there were no high aspirations in his mind, he didn't want to go above what he'd gotten already in his work life, the thought of being a teacher like Kate filled Stefan with a dread he wasn't keen on lingering on, so his work that wasn't what most would probably want to do with their lives suited the librarian, but he'd noted a slight change in Kate, just that her current class was leading her to be tired, to be more exhausted when she came home from work and was giving her more work and stress, and Stefan felt bad that he couldn't do more to help her. After all they were married and Stefan in his time with Kate had learned that a relationship and marriage was all about understanding the other, giving them space but also helping them when they needed it, even if they didn't know they needed it, but in this situation he couldn't exactly do that, he could provide her with anything but emotional support at the end of each day, to sit with her in bed on some nights when she went to sleep early, or to make an extra effort with her on the days when they could share the evenings together, which given it was the start of the term for himself meant that he had a number of late nights, which would only increase as the time towards exams approached for the students. Splitting his time between Kate and his work was fairly simple, and of course with Tybalt and Lydia a little less in their home lives the house was often quiet, not that this was necessarily a bad thing, all the time he spent with his wife was perfect and the house was filled with such goodness now he could get used to the peace and quiet, and handle being alone in it for long periods of time, but he was sat in the living room, cup of freshly made tea in one hand and a book in the other, mindlessly passing the time since he'd come home early from his day at the library. It had proved to be a quiet day and someone had come in early allowing Stefan to go home a little earlier than normal, even though he was most of the time home before Kate anyway.

Stefan heard the familiar sound of the door opening and the sound of Kate drifted through the hallways, and he perked up at the sound, looking up from the book and about to head to greet her when she headed straight upstairs to the bathroom, "Okay, everything alright?" Stefan called out, but he knew that she wouldn't be able to likely hear him from all the way upstairs, the man closed his book and put down the tea, moving to the door frame and looking up the stairs to where she would be, a frown appearing on his face, sincerely hoping that everything was alright, he naturally worried about Kate but figuring that she would call for him if she needed his help which he would then be more than happy to provide her with. Stefan somewhat reluctantly went back to his book and cooling tea, sitting himself back down on the sofa and beginning to read the book again, turning to the right page, while still vaguely listening for Kate. She seemed to be in the bathroom a while, but he just focused as much as he could on the book he was supposed to be reading, trying to ignore the nagging feeling of something being wrong with her. He sipped on the tea, eyes every so often looking out the room and upstairs, he heard movement and then nothing, he wasn't sure what was going on, and he hated being in the dark about it. Eventually he grew too nervous to read the book he had in front of him, he had to do something with his hands, he had to keep busy somehow before his mind conjured up some horrible scenario that was just not true. He closed the book and placed it down on the coffee table before taking the still half full tea with him into the kitchen where he just poured out the tea and began methodically cleaning the cup again and again, forgoing the use of the wand and the magic that would do this far quicker than he would, even though, clearly Stefan was just cleaning it for the sake of doing something.

It definitely helped ease his mind, that was until he heard Kate again, and heard her call for him, hearing the shout and urgency in her tone, he put the cup down and walked through the house and upstairs, her shout had been urgent and he was curious as to what this meant, what was wrong, he headed up the stairs, taking them two at a time until he easily reached Kate who was in the bathroom, "What is it?" he asked, trying to keep as calm as he could while speaking, "What's wrong?" he was searching for a tell tale sign that something was wrong with Kate but he couldn't immediately see anything.

Kate could see Stefan was trying his best to help her. She loved him for it and she appreciated it so much. She just wished she could show him more. She either fell asleep when she came home or she was just too busy .But she had something in the works. She had asked a fellow teacher to cover her class next Friday so that she could be home before Stefan and cook him a nice dinner. It was only something small but it was a start. Marriage had it's ups and downs , it's challenges. But Kate believed what she and Stefan had was just right. What they had worked and she wouldn't change it for anything in the world. A dinner was the least she could do and maybe after that she could plan a nice weekend away together. That weekend they spent at the beach had been wonderful. It was the last time they had been able to spend some decent time together. She loved that he didn't ask too many questions or pushed her about anything. It was just what she needed and it motivated her try and show him how much she loved and appreciated him. Kate knew that he knew this any way but she wanted to go the extra mile due to her change in mood over the last number of weeks.

After Kate had shouted for Stefan she suddenly felt nervous. How would he take it? His initial reaction hadn't been exactly positive . He had been scared and worried. The conversation had ended in an agreement to try for children but now that it was a reality how would he feel? It was too late now, she wanted to tell him and she had to. This was going to be exciting. She was still struggling to take in the fact there was someone growing inside of her. She didn't know how far along she was but no matter what, there was a baby. She and Stefan had created another human being. Her mind was racing, thinking of things that would have to be done. Items that would have to be bought and people they would have to tell. Kate just wanted to jump up and down and shout her excitement to the world. This moment almost rivalled that of when Stefan proposed to her. But it wasn't until she knew how Stefan felt that she could fully embrace her joy. She looked up when he entered the room. "Nothing , everything is good, great actually.."She then paused and looked down at the pregnancy test in her hand. She then took his hand in her and smiled. "I'm pregnant Stefan, we're going to have a baby"

The amount of things which ran through his head at the moment of seeing her and asking what was wrong, he didn't want to lose her, or for anything to be wrong, but at her words, he felt slightly confused why was she yelling for him if it was good news and then the words that followed he felt his heart stop momentarily, a baby, she was pregnant, "Pregnant?" he didn't know what to feel in that moment, his fears over being a good father, on raising a child which could share his condition, of being good parents, of doing better than his own, of never falling into that trap that his father had fallen into. Stefan met Kate's gaze as he processed what she was saying, he knew of course in that moment that Kate would be a perfect mother, but what of himself? Stefan had spent the years before school thinking what his father did to him was normal that it was normal for a father to hit their kid, and it was Hogwarts that had shown him it wasn't, it was hogwarts that had given him a sense of self-worth, and it was Kate that had shown him unconditional love, but he didn't know how he would be with his own child, with their child. Stefan broke the gaze and looked at his hands, looked at his hand in hers, the faded scars seemed to shine at him, showing every time he his father had taken his anger out on Stefan, every time Stefan had wished to be with his mother. Stefan squeezed her hand lightly as he glanced back up at her with a smile appearing on his face, "We're having a baby," he repeated back to her with the smile so clear now on his face.

After everything he had been through, all the pain, all the hits, all the trouble, he felt nervous, he never wanted to become that, he wanted to give the child the best childhood that he could, to give it everything, all the love and trust in the world. Stefan vowed to never blame it for anything that wasn't its fault, he vowed to never hit it, he vowed to be there for it and to provide everything that he could for it, to never let it down like he'd been let down. Stefan's free hand reached out, and though he was clearly happy his hand was shaking slightly as he placed his hand on where eventually a bump would be, thinking it so strange that there was a person growing inside of his wife, he couldn't wait to meet it, he couldn't wait to see who it took after though he hoped Kate, he couldn't wait to hear the child's laughter fill the walls of this once lonely and dark house, he couldn't wait to play with it and show it the wonders of the world and magic. He loved it already and he hadn't even met it yet, Stefan knelt down on one knee his hand still holding hers staring at her stomach in fascination almost at what was currently happening, he looked up at Kate, "I can't believe their's a little Moon-Archer growing inside of you, a piece of the both of us, our baby," his voice was quiet, barely able to contain the joy but feeling unable to really word how he felt, "And I bet it'll be as beautiful as it's mum," he said as he stood back up and unable to contain himself any more just wrapped his arms around Kate and held her close while kissing her, they were starting their family, a new chapter in their life together and despite his earlier fears about even this he felt pure joy at the news that they were having a child together.

Kate bit her lip, anxious to see his reaction. She didn't know what she would do if he couldn't handle it. She could already feel love for their unborn child. She could feel it swell up in her heart. She looked at him, she could see the thoughts running through his head. Kate knew and believed Stefan would be a wonderful father. Together they would be great parents. They were both new to this and they would learn together. She was sure it wouldn't be easy but she knew the benefits would outweigh the tough times. They were after all going to bring a new being into this world. Someone who had the combined traits and looks of her husband and herself. It was such an amazing thought. To think in nine months time she would be holding a newborn baby in her hands. She nodded, her smile anxious when Stefan seemed at a loss. She could understand where he was coming from. At least she had had the last few minutes to come to terms with the news, it was only hitting him now. But when he smiled, Kate's face practically glowed. All her worries melted away and in that moment she allowed herself to feel the absolute joy she had been smothering. She could feel tears forming in her eyes. For once they were tears of joy and her expression mirrored that of Stefan "Yes, yes we are"She whispered, her eyes bright and her smile so wide she could feel her muscles in her face start to ache. It was as he repeated this statement that what was happening fully hit her. She was going to be a mother.

Suddenly Kate felt nervous and even worried. What if she was useless? What if she couldn't protect him/her? Her thoughts turned to that of Sara and Kate now fully understand her parent's worry and rash decisions when she was younger. They had just wanted to protect Kate and her siblings. A surge of protection washed over her for the child now inside her tummy. Her thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of a hand on her lower stomach. Seeing Stefan put his hand there, where their child was growing pushed all those negative thoughts out of head. Instead she felt warmth and love for her husband. She was also proud of him, proud of how far he had come since that first day they had met. She put her hand over his, the one that was resting on her stomach. This was their baby, only theirs. A product of their love and she didn't feel scared any more. As long as she had Stefan by her side , she could do this. She couldn't wait to show this baby the beauty of the world, play with it and just hold it. She laughed as he stared at her stomach, her hand cupping the side of his face "Our baby"She repeated gazing at him. She thought at this point her heart would burst. She felt so much love for her husband and also for the little one growing inside her. She laughed once more, wrapping her arms around him tightly, kissing him back. "They'll get the best bits of us both"She said winking and smiling, still holding him close. She then closed her eyes, she wanted to cherish this moment forever. This was the start of a new stage of their life and Kate couldn't wait to see how it turned out. "This couldn't be any more perfect"She whispered softly, her eyes open once more.

Stefan was unsure about how to act, he didn't know what to do or what to say, this child that was growing inside of her was a part of them both and the child would grow, they would meet it, they would help guide it in the world, they would show it how to love and how to be in the world. Stefan who had always been forced to learn these lessons alone couldn't wait to give the child all the love that he could, to ensure he would never feel the same horrible feelings that Stefan had felt while growing up, to ensure that nothing would ever make it's life miserable. Stefan knew of course that he couldn't stop outside forces but he could do his best to keep them at bay and really provide his child with the best start in life. He hoped that they were for this, though they had months before the child was born, he wanted to be sure that they were entirely ready for it, and he realised he had so much work to do, their house was for them, but they needed a room for the child, they needed to make sure the house wasn't a health hazard, his father had never cared but Stefan was not his father. He was hopeful that the baby would get more of Kate than of him, he thought the world of her, and felt the child would be better, but he was excited to meet it, he was excited to show it the world, to see the elements of himself and of her in the beauty of this child, he was so thrilled that this was happening. All his fears lingered loudly in the back of his mind, but just staring at Kate and knowing it was happening he felt reassured that no matter what together they could do this.

Stefan took his hand off her stomach and placed it on her cheek as he deepened the kiss feeling nothing but a growing sense of love at his growing family, a family he had always wished for. He just held her close, wrapped his arms around her and smiling down at her, at her words, it couldn't be more perfect, this was the best moment of his life, and he knew it would only get better when the child was born and they were able to share their lives together. He honestly couldn't wait to fill this house with a happy child, with a child that would never hopefully know the horrors the house held, "What's next then, should we make an appointment with a doctor or healer? Should we get some books about pregnancy and child care, how do you want to tell people? Do we wait?" Stefan wasn't sure how to go about telling people about her being pregnant, he wasn't sure how best to deal with it, he wasn't sure what they needed to do. He didn't know and he wasn't sure how much she knew but he trusted what she might know, he was so excited for it, but he knew the reality of it meant dealing with things they'd never dealt with before. Stefan gave her a smile, hoping she might know a little more than him, but also just so pleased with it all, so pleased that he'd agreed to it, to just letting it happen, his fears were he felt still valid but he was confident that Kate would ensure it was all fine. That nothing really went that terribly wrong, they could do this, he just wasn't sure what to begin.

Kate's mind was racing. They're lives were going to change so much. They would have so much more responsibility. For the next few years she and Stefan were going to be this whole child's world. They would be their protector and their teacher. The type of person they would grow into could be greatly shaped by how she and Stefan raised them. Their views, what they love. It was a lot of pressure. She wanted to get it right. She had a wonderful childhood. When she thought about it the reason she had such a great childhood was because her parent had showed her unconditional love and gave her so many opportunities. She was taught to love, not to judge and to be yourself. They nurtured her love of music and reading and encouraged her to do her best in these and in school. She knew she and Stefan could do that. She could see how Stefan gazed at her tummy and she knew he , like herself already loved the unborn child. That love would grow and grow and they would show their child that they loved them and they would try and give it all they could. She knew that together they would be great parents. She was sure they would make mistakes, like all first time parents did but they would get through this. At the beginning they would probably be fumbling around in the dark but she was sure her parents, siblings and friends would help. Kate just wanted to enjoy bringing up their baby. She wanted to document every part of it and to cherish every moment of it. She could feel the impatience in her already. She just wanted to hold them in her arms, she wanted to see them and to know if it was a boy or girl. But most importantly she just wanted them here , right now, in her arms. But there was much to do before this happened.

Kate loved at Stefan and if possible her love for him grew. Here they were, starting their own family. They were on their own path now, together. It was wonderful and as she looked up at him for a spilt second the face of a scared 12 year old boy flashed in front of her and she smiled. She smiled because now he was here with her, he was married, with a job, happy and having his first child. She would be forever grateful to him that he kept fighting. That he didn't lose hope because she didn't know where she would be with out him now. He was her life and now together they would raise a family. Kate just wanted to dance around the room with happiness. His next words brought her back to the more practical side of their situation. "I'll book an appointment tomorrow" She wasn't entirely sure whether she would go to a doctor or healer but it probably made more sense to go to the latter. "Hmm, I'll ask Mum and we can have a look maybe at the weekend?"She said thoughtfully. Truthfully she was clueless when it came to early child care. Sure she taught and minded small kids every day but it was different in this case. She knew there were two teachers who had recently had just children so she could ask them for advice. She was slightly scared as neither of them knew what they were doing but she was sure it would all work out. "Maybe if we go for the scan first and tell people after that?"She suggested, her arms still wrapped around him. "So much to do!"She laughed, excited but feeling slightly overwhelmed.

Stefan was feeling so happy with life, so happy in that moment to have his arms wrapped around Kate, to be doing this with her, they would have a lot to do, a lot to figure out but he was oh so confident that they could not just manage it but be successful in it, they'd come so far, what kind of hurdle was having a child, he felt so pleased to be doing this with her, his nagging fears all but silent as he took her in, she spoke of booking an appointment, "I'm sure Ty will help us out finding a good healer," Stefan said, he obviously didn't want to ask Ty to do it, but he was sure his cousin and brother in all but blood would be more than happy to help them. He couldn't wait to tell people, even though he had few to tell, his family, maybe his co-workers likely anyone who asked about how he was he'd probably tell, never before had he had such good news to tell those round him, he was helping bring a child into this world, and he was so looking forward to being able to spend time with it, and as a family together with Kate and the baby, he wondered then how much time he'd be able to take off from work when the baby was born, there was simply so much to think about, so much they were now faced with, but he was sure they could do this.

It was as he nodded that Stefan was reminded of one little factor which had always impacted upon his decision with children, why he had originally decided that he was never going to have any despite how much he had longed for them, his sight, the monochromatic sight which he had would likely be passed on to the baby if it was a boy, if a girl she'd likely be fine, if Tybalt's family was anything to base this on, but if it were a boy, it would be likely be like him, Stefan looked at Kate, looked at her eyes the colour of which he would never know physically and wondered if really it was a good thing to carry on his line when that was a huge factor and it could impact the child greatly, they need glasses, he would have to help them, Kate would have to help them, and though if a boy it might achieve far more, and do well in life like Tybalt had he didn't know if he wanted that for it, but Kate's joy and elation over a baby that they were having enough to quiet his fears and know that if it did happen they'd deal with it. He trusted Kate so much, and he would protect them both, which to him was a strange phrase, but he knew that if it happened that he would accept responsibility for it. There was so much to do, and he couldn't wait to experience it all with Kate, but he just kept his arms wrapped around her and lifted her easily into the air, before taking her into their bedroom,

"So much to do, but first," Stefan just smiled at her before kissing her and falling backwards on to the bed while still holding her, "I love you so much," he said between kisses, with a bright and excited smile, but really looking forward to this next step but for now, just hoping to share in this blissful moment, he couldn't wait to share their life the child, he couldn't wait to redo his old bedroom into a bedroom for the child, and even perhaps this was just the beginning, maybe he needed to talk to Elvera about the spell which he remember was cast on her home to expand it with every new child. This was perhaps just the beginning of their family and Stefan couldn't wait for this chapter to really begin.

Kate grinned. She couldn't wait. She was usually a patient person but she just wanted to see their baby now. She wanted to fast forward to nine months time. But then of course there was the whole process of pregnancy. She was slightly nervous as to what would happen. Each woman was different. Already she was experiencing the morning sickness and tiredness. But now she knew what was causing it, she was sure she would be able to deal with it more appropriately. She just hoped she didn't get any weird cravings or did anything else strange. The thought of walking around with the weight of a baby was also something to think about. So much to do. So much to buy. So much to do to the house. She didn't find this process daunting any more, instead it was exciting. She couldn't wait to go shopping for a cot, a buggy, all the cute little clothes and just anything. She remembered looking at the baby clothes in shops and seeing all the things she would dress her children in. Now this was a reality. It suddenly hit her again what was happening. "We're having a baby"She whispered to herself again, looking down and putting one hand on her belly before looking up and kissing Stefan once more.

"That will be perfect"She nodded, smiling. She couldn't wait to tell everyone. This was such good news. She had a feeling her parents had been counting down the days until she and Stefan had kids. The other three Moons didn't seem to be settling down any time soon. She couldn't wait to do this with Stefan, to raise a child together and to go through the process of the pregnancy together. It was going to be magical and she could already imagine all these different situations involving their new family. They could go on all these family trips together and this could be an excuse to visit Ireland again. There was so much to look forward to and to hope for. She felt this was what she had been missing. She loved her life with Stefan at the moment, she loved how the lived and how they did things but this would be the icing on the cake. The next piece in their story. And she hoped to have more than two kids. With her family history there was a strong possibility of twins. But Kate would focus on that when the time was right. Now she wanted to focus on her and her husband. This man that she loved so much. She giggled when he lifted her. "What a good idea"She teased, a loud, carefree laugh following as they fell onto the bed. "I love you too"She said, holding him tighter and kissing him. She just loved seeing that smile on his face. It made the past totally and utterly worth it. "I can't wait to see our baby or babies"She whispered, looking loving down at Stefan, a small grin gracing her face.

There was so much rushing around in Stefan's head as he seemed to process the fact that she was indeed pregnant and that they were indeed going to be having a child, as long as the next months went smoothly, he was almost a little afraid of what would happen if they lost the child before it was born, it hadn't even crossed his mind until he was sat with the possibility of it happening. He told himself in a stern voice to focus that the important part of all this was that she was pregnant and very likely this would end with their own tiny child, or given Kate's family children, although the thought of twins petrified Stefan to no end, what could they do, if they had two of them at once, he barely knew how good he would be with one. Of course, he knew Kate would be fine, that she would make the best mother but he didn't know about himself, he didn't know if he was going to be a good father at all, he didn't have the same process as her when it came to bonding with the child, he was left to try to figure everything out from the books he'd read and upon meeting it when it was finally born, although really he couldn't wait to see it, to meet it and let it be a part of their lives, they were facing this new and daunting task together, and together he knew they could do it.

Stefan kept his arms around her as they lay together, he just felt his smile at her grow, felt his love for her grow and felt his desire for a family crawl out of the little dark hole he sent it to and face the beautiful light of the day which began that journey. The librarian laughed softly as he nodded, "Of course, twins," he said to her, but he wouldn't help but be glad that it didn't run in his, therefore decreasing somewhat the likelihood of it happening, but he knew that it was something they might have to face, and as soon as he knew he was sure to decide how they would deal with it, when they knew if it was going to be one or two babies. Stefan felt his heart drop slightly at the thought of what the child might be like, of course he could hardly forget his own upbringing, but the fact he could very well, pass on his sight he didn't want that for the baby, for the child, even if it was likely and inevitability of the family, such a strangely dominate male trait. He knew now was not the time for such thoughts, and only enjoyed being wrapped in her arms, with a smile upon his face as he thought of the fun they would have raising a little child together, "Me too," he agreed, really agreeing that seeing the baby or babies would be more incredible than anything in his life, after all it would be a part of her, and a part of him together in another person, a product of their love. Stefan leaned in and kissed her lightly on the cheek, "I can't wait to meet it or them," he said in further agreement, really restating the point as he reached out and lightly placed his hand where they child would be, "I know I wasn't exactly keen on this, but, Kate, I honestly can't wait to start our new family," he told her, just so looking forward to what life would bring them with this first child.

It was in that moment as Kate looked into Stefan's eyes she realised what their child could inherit . It saddened her that they may not be able to see all the colours of the world but she knew they would still have a perfectly, lovely life. The likes of Stefan and Tybalt were now happy , sure they missed out on a few things but it did not stop them from enjoying and experiencing life to the full. It seemed this was only the case with the boys in the Archer family. She and Stefan would help them as much as they could. Stefan would be most valuable as he could teach him from experience . She would do her utmost best to give them all she could. Its what any good mother or parent would do. She was sure this was something that ran through both of their minds. It was a reason Stefan had been reluctant to have children . But they would get through this together , like they always had. But again this was something they didn't need to worry about for a little while.

There was no other place she would rather be right now. Being in Stefan's arms was the dream. She could stay there all day. Although she was joking she wasn't sure how she would feel if she found out she was pregnant with twins. The thought of having one child was scary enough but the thought of having for the first time, twins was even scarier . But it was a distinct possibility. But now, wrapped up in Stefan's arms, these worries seemed to fade away. Their children were going to have fantastic lives , they were going to be loved and cherished and given every opportunity Kate and Stefan could offer. She smiled once more when he placed his hand on her lower stomach. She felt tears coming to her eyes , tears of happiness. His words, made her so happy. "I'm so happy you agreed to let us try" She told him, before kissing him on the lips.

It wasn't like a child would be easy, and lying with Kate on their bed, knowing what was happening, what was growing inside of her brought him endless amounts of joy even though it was still so early, that so much could go wrong, and that there were so many horrors in the world, so many bad people this poor child was going to have to deal with, and Stefan had always been so unable to protect himself before and he just wanted to be able to provide the best protect to this baby when it arrived. The librarian was a little unsure as to what it would be like with a baby running around the place but he couldn't wait to face it, all of the troubles and difficulties which seemed to flying into his mind at this moment didn't matter they were things he could deal with, things that he would learn to cope with, everything would be different, and things would be endlessly difficult but he was more than sure that together they could do it, they could raise this baby and teach it all the good of the world, all the good of them both would be hopefully inherited into the child, with a little of the bad, but he was sure that in a loving home the child would be fine, and there wasn't a shred in his mind that didn't tell him he wasn't going to love his child.

The man glanced at his beautiful wife, mimicking her smile, unable to stop the joy in his lips the excitement that seemed to stem right from the growing thing inside of her, he couldn't wait to meet it, he couldn't be more excited about this child, about the life they were going to have. Stefan was in the end glad he'd opted to try, to at least give it a shot, though he hadn't imagined raising a child before, the thought of it happening brought nothing but endless joy to him. He just kissed her back, passionate and hungry for more of it. Wanting to show how happy he was for her, for them, for it, wanting to show how much he loved them both, how far he'd be willing to go to protect them both, he knew of the horrors in life but it didn't mean they had to know anything more, the children would see his scars but they would never need to know about what happened. They would never experience such things as long as he lived, all he was just trying to show this all in his kiss. He didn't know how else to express it, "Shall we go make dinner?" he finally said as he pulled away from her, "Gotta feed two after all," he couldn't help but say glancing down at her stomach with a keen smile on his face, he would look after them both, that much he could assure now, he would always look after them.

Kate was looking forward to the jigs and the reels of the next stage in her life. She sometimes looked back at the choices that had brought her here. During her time in Hogwarts she had hit such lows. There had been once or twice where she just wanted to give up. Just not try any more and let life pass her by. In second year it could have been so easy for her to continue ignoring food. In fifth year she could have given up on Stefan. She could have said goodbye to him. But then she wouldn't be here with him now, their baby growing inside her. Life always threw obstacles at you. It was something she had learned the hard way but it was something she knew and accepted. You couldn't expect life to be easy, it rarely is. But all the fighting and all the pain is worth it in the end. She was a firm believer that no matter how hard life tried to bring you down, you can always stand tall. As she had once said to Stefan in first year. There is a silver lining to every cloud. Of course there were times when she doubted this and she was sure many others had too. But she and Stefan were examples that things do get better. These past few years had been the happiest of her life. She wouldn't change any of her past because it was the past that had made this current life possible. It had shaped her in so many ways. She would be forever grateful to her friends at Hogwarts who had helped her. She had lost contact with so many yet because of them she had been able to keep going and because of this she would always remember them.

As they lay there, in each others arms Kate was once again reminded how much she loved her husband. She couldn't wait to start their life as a family. She felt all the pieces were intact. She had always felt a small hole in her heart, felt something was missing. She now knew everything was in place. It was strange because as a child herself or even during Hogwarts she had never really thought about children. But being with Stefan she had realised she wanted to have children with him. She wanted to create something beautiful that would be a product of their love. It just seemed right to have kids and now, as she kissed him hungrily she knew it was the right decision. She felt him kissing her just as hungrily and she could almost feel what he was trying to say and she loved him for it. She knew together they would raise this child the best it could be. "I'm starving"She admitted , reluctantly pulling away. She laughed "Yes for two" she looked down at her stomach. "Lets go so"She said slowly rising and hopping off the bed.She turned and held out her hand. She knew that soon she would probably not be able to do that, or do a lot of things as easily but she could deal with that. After all, this baby was going to be worth all the pain.
