Moving on from the Slytherin table, Elara felt her stomach rumble as she moved to the Hufflepuff table. She really was bad with knowing any of the younger students. "Chase?" she called.

Chase had just sat back down, placing Leah's rose on the table and taking another bite of his toast when he heard someone else call out his name. His first name only, which meant he wasn't sure if the girl was looking for him. He didn't think she was, couldn't think of anyone else who would send him a rose but put his hand up again anyways in an attempt to catch her attention. "Which Chase you looking for?"

Elara heard someone respond and whipped her head around. "Umm, Chase Campbell?"

Chase was just thinking that perhaps it had been bold to assume the older girl was looking for him, especially since he wouldn't even know who'd send him a rose aside from Leah, so he was surprised to hear her say his full name. "Uh, yeah. That's me."

 

[Elara Chatelain]

Elara smiled once the boy confirmed he was who she was looking for and handed him a rose. "For you!"

Chase cautiously took the rose from the older girl, giving her a small nod thanks before opening the note. Huh. He didn't think he had been especially nice to his roommate but it was interesting to know he at least liked him a little. Otherwise he wouldn't send him a rose, would he? Perhaps he should talk to the boy a bit more. If only to make his mom happy with the possibility of him making another friend. Even if one had already felt like stretching it.
