Amelia had enjoyed her first holidays home. She had missed her big family.Alice had run up to her and had given her a huge hug.It had warmed her heart. She had forgotten how sweet her little sister was.Lisa and Louise had also given her warm hugs. Her brothers had come especially. They all wanted to see how her first year had gone.To be honest the year hadn't been that good. She hadn't made that many friends and the school had only been okay. The only good thing about last year had been Conan. Her heart speed up slightly when she thought about the Hufflepuff. They had only met once and had played a game of soccer but there was something different. She had been thinking about him during the summer. It was weird ,Amelia had never felt this way about someone before. It was confusing and it annoyed Amelia the way she couldn't figure out her feelings.

She was happy to be back at school so she could see Conan. There was no other real reason why she wanted to return to school. She wasn't exactly motivated and she only had a few friends.Hogwarts wasn't too bad though. It hadn't reached her expectations but maybe they had been set to high by her three older brothers.Amelia didn't mind though she could cope with Hogwarts as long as there was at least one could thing.Sighing she made her way out of the Slytherin common room and walked up the stairs and walked upstairs. She had her camera with her,she wanted to take some photos, there really wasn't anything else to do.She wanted to relax and take some pictures of inside instead of outside. She walked to the student lounge and sat down on the couch.Idly taking pictures every now and then

One semester of school. That's what Conan missed for the whole school year. School didn't really interest him after the fight he had with Ai. School was just as bothersome as Ai was. Even vacation was not as good since the fight just got worse. He was slapped for crying out loud! And that slap really hurt a lot. Conan decided he was not going to be the boy he was before. The boy being bossed around by his little sister and doing everything he can to fulfill her needs. No. He needed to learn to be independent. People thought they were inseparable? Well, they were wrong.

Conan really didn't plan to go to Hogwarts again after the school year, but something made him go anyway. And it was not History or Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons. No. He wanted to see Amelia. The girl stayed in Conan's mind the whole time. He wanted to see her, he just wished he knew how. He was gone for a whole semester and now, he's just not the same anymore. Even his way of clothing changed. He wondered if Amelia was still willing to accept him. "Ugh! I can't think straight in this room!" he told himself as he made his way out of the dormitories and to the Student Lounge. And when he got there, he caught sight of someone he never expected to see at the time. "Amelia," he whispered to himself as he slowly made his way to approach the girl.

Even though Amelia didn't like Hogwarts much she still loved magic. Not necessarily learning it as most of the Professor here annoyed her but more the idea of magic. She loved being able to use it to make life easier. She had never been studious. She could be considered lazy by some people. That was only when it came to work. She loved sports, she was a long distant runner and she loved basketball. She also loved soccer and about any other sport under the sun.She also loved photography. She had been given the present of a camera for her birthday and ever since she had developed a love for the hobby. So it was only when it came to studying that she was lazy. She was able to work at her own pace. She didn't like being told what to and she hated just sitting in a classroom. She preferred moving around and being active.

To be honest there wasn't much to picture in the Student Lounge. It was just a normal room which was actually quite comfy and nicely decorated but nothing really interesting. Amelia sighed as she took one more picture. The grounds of the school were quite beautiful as was certain parts of the inside of the castle, too bad the school and people inside the school couldn't be as good. There had been another issue of that dreadful magazine released a few days ago. Amelia really didn't see what the attraction of the magazine was. They were a bunch of bullies in her mind and sad people who have nothing better to be doing but stalk people and make up stories about people. Amelia's head turned when she heard her name being whispered. Her face lit up with a smile when she saw Conan. It had been so long since they had last seen each other and strangely she missed him a lot more then she would usually miss a friend. She immediately became shy and she scolded herself, she only ever acted this way around Conan. "Conan"She said smiling shyly and patting the space beside her. "Where have you been?"She asked curiously.

How much has Conan changed? He doesn't know. Maybe a lot. He never talked to her sister again. He never made friends again. He didn't help around the house back in Japan, and he didn't talk to his aunt or uncle that much either. When he came to school, he never interacted with his friends or his housemates. He didn't attend classes either, even History, which was his favorite subject of all. He never played soccer again. Even his clothes seemed different. But since the fight between Ai, something never change. It was the way he felt when he sees Amelia.

Conan swore that he smiled when Amelia said his name. "Hey there, Amelia." he said as he approached her faster. He stood in front of a while and unconsciously he bowed like the first time they met. The reason? He didn't know. It felt nostalgic, indeed. And he sat beside Amelia. "Sorry. I didn't really feel going to classes," he sighed. Well, it was not surprising that Amelia would ask since some studious student acting-know-it-all Hufflepuff was suddenly gone from all classes in the first semester. "Well, I guess I missed a lot of chances to see you in classes huh." he said with a little smile, until he realized what he just said and he was quite surprised that those words came out from his mouth.

Amelia didn't know Conan that very well which was why it surprised her that she had missed him so much. They had only met twice before but he had just always stuck in her mind. She always acted shy around him, she was never herself which really puzzled her because no boy had ever made her feel this weird before. It was almost disconcerting but Amelia only felt this way when she thought about him, when she was actually with him that all floated out the window. She wanted to get to know him better though, she practically nothing about him and she wanted that to change. She knew that he and his sister had had a bad fight and they were no longer talking. She remembered being at the cliff when the two had fought. She hadn't really understood what had been going on and she hadn't got the chance to ask him.She wondered how things were now.

Amelia smile, and laughed slightly as he bowed like the first time they had met. It was cute, so very gentleman like.It was nice to know that all boys were not jerks like the ones at home. Amelia frowned, that wasn't normal for someone like Conan to not go to classes. As far as she knew he was a lot more studious then herself. She herself was never really in class, she didn't the Professors so she usually did go. Amelia smiled shyly "I don't go to classes much"She said truthfully, confident Conan wouldn't say anything and touched that he said that. His new attitude worried her though "Whats wrong?"She asked worriedly, moving slightly closer on the couch, she wanted to hug him but she wasn't sure where she stood.

Conan knew there would be a time where he would change. Although, he never expected that he would change almost completely. He always thought that he would only change a bit in his attitude, maybe his clothing and his interaction with other people. But, no, he changed too much. Almost as if he was a different person, except when he's with Amelia. Conan just seemed to revert back to his old self whenever he was with her. The usual kind and caring Conan.

He smiled a little when the Slytherin had told him that she doesn't really attend classes much. "Thanks. Thanks for being honest, Amelia." he smiled back at her. His smile just came automatically, like it was the most natural thing about him, well, it was, until that 'little' fight with Ai. But after that, he almost never smiled again. With a barely managed chuckle, he said, "Well, it seems to me like I changed a lot. Many people say that. Haven't talked to anyone yet besides you. You're the first person I talked to this year. And I'm glad that's the case." he said as he looked at her in the eyes, meaning that he was telling the whole truth, and he wanted to know on how the girl would react.
