Brett felt like a failure. He had not gotten into Hogwarts New Zealand. He was so confident too. He was positive he was going to make it in next time. Brett carried a basketball in his hands. He was at home with his father in Australia. He was taking a break from school. It was only for the rest of the semester. He found himself very reclusive, and school was just not helping him. His father decided to have him come back home. He had become somewhat depressed, but now he had been feeling better. His father would not allow him to go back to Durmstrang though. It made Brett a little frustrated, but he had to respect his father's wishes. He was being sent his work for some classes, so he was doing okay...kind of. He walked onto the empty basketball court dribbling the ball in his left hand. He wore gray sweats, basketball shoes and a dark blue T-shirt. He just finished eating a whole box of cookies. He needed some exercise.

Perseus was bored. It was a Sunday morning and he felt like exercising. Sure, he could just jog around or whatever but he was not in the mood for that kind of exercise. The exercise that he wanted to do was play basketball. But unfortunately, his teammates where nowhere to be found. They usually practice around 2-4:00 in the afternoon but Percy was up for it already even if it is still 10:00 in the morning. He had just finished his breakfast two hours ago and he had nothing to do. Percy waited impatiently for one of his teammates to come. Jason, perhaps? He's always hanging out in the basketball court, Percy figured he would come sooner or later if he isn't busy with his brothers and sisters. Percy sighed when the thought of Jason being the eldest of his siblings came to him. Jason always told him that family comes first before anything and that is a huge deal coming from the eldest child. Percy always had doubts about it. His older sister, Andrea had never said anything like that. In fact, when she hears Jason saying his little quote, she just shrugs or smirks. Percy looked around the court. Usually, the spark of the sun would scare the players' skin away and they normally hang on the bench near the waiting shed. Time passed by and Percy was getting border by the minute. He rested his head on one of stone bench above him. But he suddenly perked up when he heard a noise. It's like someone was walking. He suddenly sit straight and looked around the court. There, he found a familiar looking boy carrying a basketball in his hands. Percy narrowed his eyes. He looked about the age of Andrea. Percy looked at him sourly. He had brown hair with the same brown eyes. "Hey!" Percy called, his voice filled with curiousness and annoyance. "Who the hell are you?" He asked, not to friendly as he flashed him with a not-so-friendly look.

Brett was not expecting any drama. He just wanted to play some ball. He did not expect to be yelled at by a kid. He had just walked onto the court. He had not done anything to offend him. He really had not. Bret simply ignored the boy. He was not at the basketball court to make enemies. That was the last thing he wanted. Brett was a friendly guy, but sometimes his temper got to him. The boy was just being childish. It was nothing to get angry about really. He headed to the 3-point line. He wanted to practice his three pointers. He was good at making said shots, but, to Brett, practice made perfect. He had over a fifty percent chance of making the set. He thought that he saw the basket better when he was farther away. He lifted his arms with the basketball resting in his left hand. He rested his right arm on the side of the ball as a guide for when he got ready to shoot it. He bent his knees slightly and slowly counted to three. He jumped and tossed the ball up to the basket. He made sure to follow through. The ball made a clean entrance into the hoop and out. Brett smiled to himself. His ball had started to bounce away. He ran to get it. It had rolled to the bench where the boy who had yelled at him earlier was sitting. He placed a foot on his ball and looked at the boy. "Do you play?" he asked simply. He hope he had not hurt the kid's pride too much by ignoring him. He was rude before, and Brett did not respond to rudeness.
