Leonardo was exhausted, the practice had been hard, and though he knew that Rene being a really good keeper was good, it had been demotivating, tricky and overall, exhausting. Leo liked quidditch, he liked flying and he liked the idea of being in a team. Liked and respected but he didn’t think he would manage it with performances like that, sure he had scored but not enough. It didn’t matter in his head that this was his first year on the team and there would be time for improvement in the many years to come, so long as he stuck with it, which Leo did intend to do.
Leo had always enjoyed quidditch and flying when he was at home. It was just him over the last breaks but his grandfather had gone through periods of wanting him to know how to fly, to know quidditch and that had always been mostly good, still just the two of them, but two was better than one as it was now when he went home. The hufflepuff however, didn’t feel good about the practice which had just happened. Leonardo had just finished getting changed, and held in his hands the bruising paste from his first aid kit for the growing and worsening bruise from the bludger hit. But he wasn’t moving to do anything, just tiredly sitting, staring into space, being internally very harsh on himself because he knew he could do better.
