Caroline lately had been spending a lot of time in her office because she was working on some really important project. Yes, it was her own firm but she had decided that the most important projects she was going to do on her own, at least she knew that it was going to be good. And now, she finally got home from work and she was exhausted, so she took off the coat and went in to the house. "Darling?" she called out, hoping that her husband was home. With their kids being off in school, house was really quiet and Caroline just hoped that they will get back home for Christmas but for now, she and James were the only two people in this house.

As much as James loved his children, he couldn't help but enjoy when they weren't home. They only went back to school a few weeks ago, so he hadn't started missing them yet, but they were still always on his mind nonetheless. He was cooking some baked potato in the kitchen when he heard his wife's voice coming home. He knew she had been working a lot lately and so often left her alone when she was busy. He took the tea towel that hung over his shoulder and placed it on the bench. "Yes, love!" he called out after her, stepping out into the entry and smiling as he saw her. "How was your day today?"
