today was the day. Leigh woke up on the sound of her alarm to an extremely bare room, the only things in it were her matress on the floor, boxes stacked against one wall with her days clothes on it. She got dressed quickly. and headed into the main room and grabbed some toast for breakfast. exited for the big day
The day she was moving house. Leaving her little flat behind, and moving into a really cute little house. not just on her own like it was here, she was finally moving in with Steph they had been discussing the move for a while and been looking at houses until they finally found a perfect one just outside obsidian harbour. it was cute, and if they were in the upstairs room they could see glimpses of the sea. once she was up fed and had had a cup of coffee in he never cold cup/ she made her way outside. right on time a truck pulled up. ready for her move. she had thought how to get the boxes to the new house and decided the old school removal truck would be best.
once she had signed the required paperwork she took the keys and then loaded the boxes onto the back and after triple checking everything was in there she started to head towards the house. she smiled as she rounded the corner and she saw the cute house and reversed onto the drive she wouldn't go into the building without Steph but she started to unload her boxes, this time by magic not by hand which was a lot easier. she then reached a chair, her coffee and waited for Steph to arrive.

Stephanie threw the last of her valuables into the bag and zipped it up. She'd been awake for hours. She was both excited and a little bit nervous. Though she loved Leigh and they spent all of their free time together, moving in with someone was a huge step forward in any relationship, whether it was platonic or not. What if she had some bad habits that Leigh didn't like? What if Leigh had bad habits? Stephanie was generally a pretty messy person despite it all and Leigh seemed to always have such cleanliness following her, what if they clashed over that? She really wouldn't want them to break up over something so small. Shaking her head to clear it out of her mind, Steph reminded herself that she was being silly. She and Leigh had been together for nearly two and a half years. Their three year anniversary was coming up in a couple of months. She didn't really have anything to worry about. Realising this, Stephanie got dressed in her own bedroom one last time before heading out the door and locking it. She was going to miss this place. There were so many memories in there. She didn't mind so much though, she knew that they could make many more new memories in the new house.

Most of Stephanie's stuff had been sold. They had decided together which furniture would move and which would be sold and then they had bought some extra for the new place. As it had turned out, they had both agreed that most of Leigh's furniture looked nicer in the house then Steph's, so she got to sell all of hers. Turning to say one last goodbye to her apartment, Steph turned on her heel and apparated to the new house. She spotted Leigh as soon as she got there and smiled. "I see you started unloading already. We should get all of these into the house." She leaned down and kissed Leigh on the cheek. "You look comfy. You gonna stay there all day?"

Leigh was half way down her coffee when she heard Steph arrive. she looked up and let her girlfriend hiss her on her cheek. "It is comfy, but it would be more comfortable if we were both here" she said pulling Steph onto her lap, hugging her and kissing her neck. "see it is comfortable down here, but maybe we shouldn't sit here all day, at least not today" she said. this was the moment she had been waiting for. Steph may complain later, but she was going to do this. "hold on" she said managing to stand up without falling or dropping steph. then holding her tightly she managed to get herself to the door, somehow got it open and them across the threshold before she started to loose her grip and half placed, partially dropped Steph onto her feet inside the house smiling widely, they were young, in love, and moving in together. "welcome home, beautiful Steph" she said kissing her again. it was a tradition for one half of the couple to carry the other over the threshold of their new house, of course traditionally it was the man who carried the lady, in their case short of them both hovering over on a broom this was the best they were going to get.
