The teenage girl was gripping her Emerald Streak tightly as she approached the Quidditch Pitch, a serene expression on her face. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a high pony-tail, and she didn't look as harsh as she usually did. She looked almost... Innocent. Flying did that for her. It was the only time that she could relax, and actually enjoy herself, and not worry about the rest of the world. This was the time that she could just focus on getting her speed and aim up, and feel the cold breeze on her face as she flew.
A small, genuine, smile on her face, she mounted her broom, and flew up, tilting her face up to the sky as she did so. Her Slytherin Chaser robes were billowing behind her. She leaned down low, flying as fast as she could, in several laps around the Quidditch pitch, to warm up. The smile that was on her face showed that she had made the right decision in coming out here to think, instead of stressing. All around her, people were stressing out about their OWLs and NEWTs, and they went off at Alyss because she didn't seem to care about her grades. What they didn't realise however, was that Alyss did care, she was just better at hiding her stress.
Her brow scrunched up slightly, as she thought of her future. She didn't know what she wanted to do, and people assumed that because she didn't know that, that meant that she was dumb. A small smirk came onto her face as she remembered what happened to the last person that had called her a 'dumb blonde' to her face. Let's just say that the girl who did that, wouldn't be going anywhere near Alyss for a while.
Flying was Alyss' life. She couldn't imagine doing anything but that. But she knew that she was expected to be a Death Eater, like her father, and it might be suggested to her that she become a spy, and work in the Ministry. If that was ever meant to happen, she would really have to improve her marks. But Alyss didn't want to work in the Ministry, she just wanted to spend the rest of her life flying and enjoying herself, something that she hadn't been able to do as a child.
Screaming out her frustration, she leaned down even lower on the broom, going even faster than she had felt possible. She swerved around the next corner sharply, her eyes narrowed, the brown in them flashing angrily. The next person that disturbed her would be in a world of pain. She would make sure of that.
