Tommy frowned deeply at the man that was trying to communicate with him. It was ridiculous how people thought that they should coo at young children. In Tommy's eyes, he wasn't even that young, he just looked it, but it wasn't like he was three or anything, so why did this idiot have to act like he was born without a brain? If Tommy was confident that he knew English, he'd yell at the man, but he was French, and was speaking in French, so the young boy doubted the stranger would understand. Tommy couldn't believe that he was in France, with his father, who was checking out the schools and catching up with all of his friends, aparently this man was one of those friends. Tommy didn't approve of him. Once the man stopped acting like an idiot, Tommy crossed his arms across his chest crankily. "You're stupid." He muttered, receiving a smack for his comment. This didn't help the small blondes mood, it wasn't like it was an insult, insults were only insulting when they weren't true, and that comment was most definately true, because sea-cucumbers were able to use more of their brain capacity, than that man.

After blurting out his thoughts on his fathers friend, Tommy was exiled to... a playpen-like park. The horror! Tommy couldn't believe this treatment! How could Austiin do this?! A glare settled on the young boys face as he walked through the park. Never had his adoptive father been so cruel. Austiin knew full well that Tommy wasn't a people person, especially young people, people his age was just so annoying. Tommy knew that that was a little hypocritical, but he didn't care, he didn't care at all. Sitting down on a bench quietly, Tommy looked at all of the other kids, the other French kids. Tommy couldn't hear any of them speaking English, it was so annoying, why would they not speak English? They were only in France, that didn't give them the right to not speak English. With his arms across his chest, Tommy glared at several children that dared go near him. He had no interest in them, he just wanted this day to be over.

The one week vacation that Isabela got for her eight year old daughter had been doing well. It took away the tiredness that Isabela had been experiencing in the manor, whilst Victoria lost her crankiness that she had been having because of the days that she was stuck there. The idea of being in France was a chance for Victoria to explore a different country, especially those in the European area. France was a superb place to be in, but most did not speak English. Their French accents left Victoria confused whilst speaking to them but she was able to cope up with the strange way they pronounced some words. Only some, thank Merlin. Victoria did not want to depend on her mother for everything that she wanted to say, like ordering some food or asking for the price of the garments her eyes fancied. Isabela was helpful as a mom, which Victoria thought was a duty that every single mother held. But as an eight year old, she thought that being independent would make her more courageous whenever visiting other places that she was unfamiliar with. Though she had to admit, their accents were interesting to copy but imitating the accent on her American tongue did not sound as good as she expected. Victoria blabbed about it with her mother as they walked through a place that led to a park, which was beside an ice cream parlour. With her mother, she tried to copy the French accent which resulted into giggles from the two girls. She felt her cheeks grow warm and said, "It's so hard." She sighed, a little disappointed to why she was doing it incorrectly. Victoria felt Isabela's hand grip hers tighter, as if assuring that it would be better to try whenever she would be in the right age to come up with a good voice. Her words were laced with the common American accent which she was accustomed to throughout her whole life.

The distance from their starting point to the park was beginning to narrow down, but Victoria slowed down her pace whilst she laughed and cracked some corny jokes with Isabela. Mainly because she wanted to spend time with the best woman she had ever known - but Benjamin called her biased for that since Isabela was their parent, after all. Some said that they looked alike which flattered Victoria a lot though she tried not to show it as much as possible. Victoria clutched her dress with one hand as she grasped Isabela's warm hand with the other when she caught sight of the swing. It was occupied by some young boy who was screaming with delight whilst another person who looked older was pushing him forward for his swing to be higher. Isabela offered her a sympathetic smile and fixed her daughter's hair which was getting messy by the air's cool breeze. Victoria adored the swings, and it was usually what she went for whenever there was a park. Although she sometimes felt that she was outgrowing her love for the swings, and being eight was turning her into something else. She felt some changes course through her brain about her opinions about her family's supremacy beliefs and ways. Her mind was becoming maturer by each day, but it was developing in a slow manner. Victoria was eight for heaven's sake, and she knew that she would enter Hogwarts in a few years time. Victoria pushed the jealousy aside and sighed deeply whilst scanning the park for a vacant station. The witch's green orbs faced Isabela's blue ones and she nodded when Isabela told her that she would stay in the ice cream place. She had about an hour or two to play and Victoria agreed with that. "I want ice cream." She pouted at her mom, but Isabela disagreed and adviced her to play first before food can enter her system. She might have one of those stomach aches that made her want to cry and be cranky all day. Instead of stubbornly following her mother inside the store, she saw a bench that was occupied and let her own feet drag herself to it

The bench was not as dirty than what Victoria expected it to be and she eyed the boy who sat there, who was silently fuming about something. Vicky frowned and studied his face's features. His eyes were a pair that she had looked straight into, and she could say that he was in a terrible mood. His eyes were staring daggers at the children who casually glanced over at his spot and she tried to stay out of sight as much as possible. For a brief moment, she just stayed near the a bush and just looked at the park until her curiosity came back to her all at once. She did not want to be glared at, so instead she just glanced at him for a millisecond and turned her head away. But that glance did not satisfy her curiosity since she knew the boy. That was certain. His features were so familiar but the memory of there encounter seemed so distant. She tried to recall the memories that she had with some children about her age - which wasn't as numerous as the other kids had - and she immediately recalled that one meeting that she was glad to have. Victoria cautiously approached him this time and surveyed his features slowly, not caring if she would be glared at or not. Undoubtedly, he did look like that boy she met a few months ago. "Hey, um, Tommy?" She asked, a bit intimidated with his aura. She did not like the way that he was mad and she wished that he would not be mad at her too. It was rare that she encountered several kids her age. Only Benjamin and Lucas were the people she personally knew because of their blood relationship after all. Victoria crept closer to the boy and finally made up her mind to speak to him despite the mad expression he had. "Do you remember me? What're you doing here?" Her tone was low and gentle and her green eyes looked at him with concern and curiosity at the same time. She did not want to have a shouting match and she wondered how the hell did he get to France. It just did not occur to her immediately that Tommy came from a family of magical blood too, which was possible for him to travel everywhere around the globe through side-along apparition.
