November sighed as she looked at her outfit, she wasn’t sure what Flavio would think of the bright floral design and the fact it was also a suit. She had warned him it was going to be a different outfit than what she’d ever worn before and that she was influenced slightly by his older sister. She looked around the dorm surprised to see she was the last to finish getting ready and quickly packed up her things. She still did not bother trying to wear much makeup, not really knowing the first thing about putting it on in a nice way. She thought she always looked like a fancy clown when her twin sister would do her makeup. Brushing her long hair back, November smiled to herself looking at the rose she had gotten from Flavio. It’d been a rather sweet message and she was happy about being with him and couldn’t really picture a moment she’d want to be apart from him.

Walking down the grand staircase November looked around for her boyfriend as she passed various people and others passed her, taking the stairs faster than she was in. She made it to the entrance hall and decided to wait outside the Great Hall for Flavio to show up. She wondered how long it took him to gel his hair as she stood waiting not really looking at all the faces around her, not wanting to look like a lonely person. She was surprised by all the small faces she saw so close to her own height. When she was younger it always seemed like the upper years were miles taller than she, it seemed like now the little kids were just an inch or two shorter than her. November wondered if Flavio would be able to notice her in this crowd, but of course he was a lot taller and could maybe see over the people to find her.

Flavio wasn't sure what outfit November would be wearing to the valentine's dance. When she said her outfit was unlike what she had worn before and in no uncertain terms influenced by one his older sisters, he half expected her to be in fishnet stockings and a black dress or even surprise him with brightly dyed red hair for the occasion. Leaving the outfit a surprise and wondering what sight he would find when he met with her had caused him to become distracted throughout the day and even reconsider what he had chosen to wear to the dance himself. Initially, he thought a standard suit with a blue tie would be fitting enough for whatever November decided to wear but as he finished styling his hair and looked over his appearance in the mirror, he thought his choice in attire seemed a little too plain. In a last minute effort to look more interesting Flavio searched through his trunk, eventually producing a maroon coloured tie. It seemed out of place with the rest of his suit but the warmer, reddish tone was fitting for the valentine's theme, this being enough of a reason for him to switch ties before leaving his dorm.

Flavio rarely felt nerves anymore during school events, rather only feeling nervous on the eve of his quidditch games, meaning he walked down to the entrance hall feeling confident for the night ahead despite his ever present curiosity to what November would look like. As he glanced around the in search of her, he found his questions about her appearance quickly answered, seeing her in a floral print suit and heels; a more modest image that what he assumed when she mentioned Pia's style but an image that was only channeling Pia instead of copying her. Flavio did not know how he would react if November quite literally took something from his sister's wardrobe, as their styles were so different. This suit was a comfortable medium between both extremely contrasting tastes and brought a smile to Flavio's face as he approached his girlfriend. "Love the outfit. Looks good on you." He commented, pulling November into a hug and placing a soft kiss on her forehead after he pulled away.

November smiled happy to see her boyfriend in front of her and took a hold of one of his hands as soon as she could. She never felt as though she was too clingy but when the opportunity was there she loved holding his hand. "We match, the tie doesn't look much different from the darker shades in mine!" She said with a smile as he kissed her forehead. "Come on, I want a dance first," November said pulling his hand into the Great Hall. She began to wonder when Flavio had started to realize his feelings for her. She could remember the exact time she looked at him and felt the twinges of a crush forming. But she knew he hadn't liked her or really knew he liked her for a while after she had already liked him. "Too bad you didn't come in a skirt or something, then we'd be quite the pair tonight," November said teasing her boyfriend, though she did feel nervous about her outfit. She hadn't ever worn a suit, and this one was girly so she didn't feel as though she stood out too much seeing plenty of bright dresses all around. But she was in pants and to her it felt comfortable and yet fashion forward something she felt Pia would like for her.

Flavio usually reserved displays of affection with November for behind closed doors, wanting to act more appropriately in public because whenever he saw couples all over each other it made him uncomfortable. However he was willing to make exceptions for school events, the valentine's dance being a particular exception as it seemed the most appropriate event to show affection overtly more than any other time of the year. Thus the reason the prefect did not mind pulling November into the hug and the tender forehead kiss that followed. When he let her lead him by the hand, and entered the hall to walk onto the dance floor Flavio instinctively placed his arms around November's waist, expecting her to wrap her arms around his neck in turn so they could sway slowly to the pace of the music. The song playing was slow which Flavio expected and was pleased about as slow music was the easiest to dance to. "I would look great in a matching pink skirt. Everyone would be jealous." He joked, smiling as he looked down at November. Not once when he was younger did he ever think he would be part of a relationship that felt so secure and comfortable but what he and November had was this reality, as they went from being close friends to partners in almost everything so naturally. With this on his mind Flavio remembered the rose November sent him and recalling the poem she wrote on the note warmed his heart. "Loved your rose, by the way. The poem was amazing." He added, pulling November slightly closer to place another kiss on her cheek as another way of showing his appreciaton.
