Wes was not a huge fan of halloween. He didn't hate it, but he also found the entire idea a little bit boring. This being said, it was just a little huge where he was from. No matter which city he was in during Halloween, it was always a very big event during which he was very happy to say that he only ever went to the organised events. He had never really been trick or treating. All in all, he just liked a more organised way about it. It was simpler, and he just found it easier. Most of the time he didn't actually dress up, he put on a pair of fake fangs, a little bit of fake blood and a fake knife. All in all, just a night for him to pretend that he was some kind of vampire. He didn't try hard, but he did still try. He knew that out of all the people there he would've put in the least amount of effort, but it was still better than what he had been doing before. Some years he didn't even bother with what he had now. But some part of the young Slytherin realised that he would be the least dressed up of all the people at this school. It was odd to him, that witches and wizards would love a festival like that so much, even if it lay grounded in little bits of magical fact. It was just another incredibly fabricated holiday, and a part of Wes just knew that no matter how much he tried, it would still be incredibly boring. He needed something to do that would really liven things up a bit. But, Wes had yet to meet someone willing to do such a thing with him. There was Rose, but there was a slight difference between dancing crazy alone. And what he was in fact even remotely thinking of doing. The tricks of Halloween.

Despite this, he was sure that no matter what someone would see eye to eye with him. The young Slytherin entered the hall and looked around. With his dark jeans and lightly coloured top, he really was the least dressed up of the lot. Even some of the professors appeared to be in a little but of costume. Even at his last school, that had been unheard of. They were professors, and they did not dress up. Althought, he'd never spent the night of Halloween at his school in L.A., so he didn't know about them. Wes entered the hall and walked around slowly. He was trying to decide what to do. How to go about it. What people would be willing to join him. Eventually once Wes had circled around twice he stopped. Letting his eyes take in what was in front of him. This was boring, he'd been to better funerals than this. It wasn't interesting and there was nothing happening besides some polite eating. It was stupid. People at Hogwarts clearly, in his eyes, had no idea how to actually have fun. They didn't know. He wanted to do something. Something more or less shocking. Something people would not actually be expecting. It would be fairly hard, but he was willing to go the extra mile.

Among all the other festivals, it was Christmas that Kyle loved the most very narrowly followed by Halloween. Back in the days when he was not at Hogwarts, Kyle enjoyed the festival with his neighborhood friends as they went trick or treat every year. Trick or treat was the best part of Halloween but of course it did not beat the pranks that Kyle and his friends usually played on each other. Kyle remembered as if it was yesterday when he was eight and his group of friends had thrown wet toilet paper balls at neighboring houses. He had been very lucky that his father had never discovered the pranks he pulled time and again. The thought of his father ever catching him when he was up to his mischief and adventures made him shudder. All things at Hogwarts had been great so far but this Halloween feast was looking plain boring.
The decorations were great. There was no denying that. The Great Hall and the castle was decorated spookily as possible. With the dim lighting, spider webs, bats flying around and jack-o-lanterns, the Halloween mood was just set in the perfect way. The highlight of the evening so far had been the costumes everyone was dressed in, they went from simple and usual to very artistic and some even managed to come closer to scary. However just dressing up scary was no fun.

Kyle always liked dressing up in scary costume but this year it was no use. He was dressed in a simple costume and was going as 'Hansel' from 'Hansel and Gretel'. He sipped some pumpkin juice and wondered if no one other than him was thinking about doing something fun and exciting to highlight the event. He knew prefects and Professors made sure that rules were followed at Hogwarts but he had never heard of a rule saying no pranks on Halloween. Were the others too cowardly to have some fun or were they just plain boring? He ate some chocolate fudge chewing slowly as wondered what his friends back home would be doing right now. He had owled one of them suggesting that for their big prank this year they should dare someone to enter the deserted house in their neighborhood while rest of his friends scared the one who was dared. He had made a few friends but everyone seemed to be in some deep conversation with someone else and he was not planning to spend the rest of the evening in plain talk. He decided to go around and see if anyone was bored too and maybe convince them to plot a prank. As he took another chocolate fudge and swallowed it he spotted a familiar looking face from one of his classes. The boy, too seemed to be alone with nothing to do. Kyle walked towards him and said "Boring, isn't it?" and looked at the people who were eating and talking.

Rose sat by the piano in the music room. She had been playing for around an hour. Her fingers were sore but she was happy with the work she had done. She always felt better once she had had a dose of playing the piano.the whole school was buzzing about Halloween but Rose didn't really see why people got so pipped up about it.She had never celebrated Halloween before she just hadn't seen the big deal. It was just a night where you could get free sweets and play tricks on people. The idea of pranking people sounded fun but that was it. No one had played tricks on anyone at home. She still wasn't sure if she was going to go or not.She had no costume and she wasn't really in the mood but she didn't really want to hang around and be the only person not at the feast. She was interested to see what the feast would be like too as she had never gone to one before. For all she knew it could be better then going around trick or treating. She walked past the Great Hall ,the hall did look amazing and some of the costumes were pretty amazing too.

After seeing this she finally decided she may as well go.She walked into her dorm room and looked around for something to wear. All she could find was a dress and some heels that Lucie had given her.She wasn't sure if she would wear it. She had never worn a dress like this before and she would probably stick out like a sore thumb. So instead she just decided on casual outfit. She wasn't going to wear a dress of heels she would probably fall over so going casual was much preferred. She walked back down to the Great Hall and walked inside. the place was amazing,it was packed too. She walked around the hall but there was nothing happening to be honest. She walked to the food and got herself a drink. The pumpkin juice was nice but after circling the hall Rose was ready to go back to the dorm. She was walking towards the door when she saw two people that she knew. She walked over "Hey guys"She said smiling slightly. They looked as bored as she was.

Wes wasn't sure how to get things to be more interesting. It appeared to him, that it could be pretty different. It would have to be. Or else it would be pointless. He had to just find something to do. It was a huge school, there were hundreds of people. Surely with his kind of brain he could come up with something. It wasn't going to be too hard. Normally he didn't have these kinds of troubles when it came to doing something interesting. The last time it had been simple. It had been the simplicity of the music and the freedom of an almost empty room. This had to be different. There were more people, and there were people dancing, so he wouldn't really get anyway with just being a little crazy about it. He really wouldn't. It wouldn't suffice, this time around, this had to be so much more. He didn't think it could be fun. Then he noticed a random boy walking over to him. He wondered if he could convince someone else to just do something with him. It would be a little odd, since most people just wouldn't. They were in school, and there were teachers and prefects all around, it could end badly and the boy was aware that if he managed to get himself kicked out his parents wouldn't be very happy. But surely it took a lot more to be thrown out than just a little fun. Providing a good excuse and the professor feeling the fun of the event. Seeing the funny side. Which was a pretty big time to ask from people but he was pretty much willing to just do that. But, he was hopeful. It was halloween, it was what the entire thing was. He was fairly happy to just do something to lose a couple of house points. It would be worth it in the end. The boy he had previous noticed made his way over to him, and then spoke. Wes raised his eyebrow at the boy then nodded at him. There was no denying that this needed some spice.

"That it is" Wes looked to the boy. He was dressed as some woodsman. Or something to that effect. The boy was a little unsure but it was more than what Wes had done. Which wouldn't really be hard. "Want to make it more interesting?" He pulled out the very fake, old plastic knife and held it out for the boy who had just joined him. "Vampire, slayer, reenactment? Make it look real" He pointed to himself and then to the new boy who had joined him then motioned to the world around him. He had the idea that they would fight, make it look real enough. Then the boy saw Rose. He smiled at her, an actual friend. This was going to be a lot better with a third person in his mind. She had no idea what he had just said to the boy, and he was quick to force to other kid to take the fake knife from his hands. She clearly knew the two of them. Wes looked at the boy and gave a very small smirk. Wes wasn't much of an actor, but his mother had been keen for him to have lessons. And here they were going to pay off. Wes changed his expression to one that was annoyed. "F##k you man" Wes gave the boy a hard shove and took a few steps back. Speaking a much elevated tone. "Who the hell do you think you are? I am stronger, faster and better than you. You little piece of slayer sh!t." Wes appeared to be annoyed, but his yelling seemed to be working, people were noticing. He didn't mean what he said, he didn't really care about the boy in front of him, hoping desperately that the boy would play along with him. This hang in the balance of this other boy responding in a similar fashion.

If the responsibility to bring some life into this Halloween night rested on this Gryffindor's shoulder he was more than willing to do whatever it took. Gryffindor was in the lead and a few house points or even detention was not going to scare him. He did not stop to think about what his father would say if they told him about what he had in mind and what he was about to carry out. He had been right in guessing that the boy too had been bored. He smiled at Rose who was approaching them and seemed to know the other boy too. Kyle had heard the words which Rose had been out of earshot to have heard as they had been meant only for his ears. He knew clearly well and did not need to be explained further. His mind had been running along the same lines and as Kyle handed him the fake knife and blood, Kyle smirked mischievously.

Kyle liked Rose as a friend and they were about to test her capacity of tolerating some major prank. He only hoped that she would freak out and scream for now because only that was going to help them to have more victims but later she could have to forgive him and just be friends with him again because it was some harmless fun. He looked at the other boy and he knew what was about to come. He was ready for it. He was not much of an actor but he knew how to lie, it was something he had learned due to his father being very strict and all. It was certainly going to be very useful for the drama masterpiece that was about to be created.

As Kyle was pushed he took two steps back, not that it had been much of a push but because it was all part of the act. He put a straight face, turning it slightly into one that was filling with annoyance and anger as the boy spoke. A few heads had turned their way. It had begun and now it was Kyle's turn. "In your f##king dreams" he said as he took two big steps forward and punched the boy in his stomach. Well it was not a real punch. It had been very light when he had brought his fist close to the boy's body and he knew that no one would have noticed the difference. "Stop flattering yourself. Rose is coming to the ball with me" he said his voice loud and words flowing smoothly from him. He wondered how Rose was going to feel after hearing this. He had not asked her, he had not even thought about the yule ball until this second. It had just sort of come from him. Kyle thought she was a nice friend and it would be nice to take her so why not. He hoped the boy would continue the story. Kyle was not sure if the boy was comfortable with such a topic for a fight but what was done was done and the on lookers were just increasing as he had mentioned the ball.

Rose was disappointed with the Halloween feast. Here you could use magic and probably do much better pranks then muggles and everyone was just milling around and dancing like it was just a normal party. She had to admit the decorations were amazing, who ever had put them up definitely had an eye for decorating. Had it not been for the amazing decorations she wold have said that this Halloween feast was a pretty big fail to her. Which was a shame because she was sure a lot of hard work had gone into it.But it wasn't really fun, nothing was happening. It was like a school dance, one where no one wanted to be there. That was Rose's opinion anyways. Some people probably lived the feast and the fact that most of the school went showed that many people like it but for someone who didn't see much of a point in Halloween this just added to her view . She wished she could enjoy it because a lot of people seemed to be having some fun.To bad she wasn't one of those people.

Rose's smile widened returning Wes's smile with her own. Maybe the night wouldn't be so bad now that there were two people she could talk to_One of which she knew she could have fun with. They would find a way.She liked Kyle to.He was nice and although she was a tad it worried he had something up his sleeve in retaliation for making him jump about three feet in the air the other night. The two boys however didn't seem to be getting on.Her smile soon turned to a frown when Wes shoved Kyle.Rose soon grew very worried, the two seemed to be having a fight and they were attracting a lot of attention "Hey guys whats..."She started before Kyle punched Wes "Kyle"She shouted moving forward.Shocked that both of then were acting like this. What he said next confused her and shocked her even more. He hadn't asked her to the Yule Ball. What was all this about. She was starting to get angry at the too and she didn't not have a a very good temper "What is going on"She shouted, earning more looks from people close by.She didn't know what was going on her and she was getting increasingly more angry and confused.

Bituin brushed her hair back with her hands and pinned part it up in the back. Most of her hair was still down, but she knew the person she was impersonating for the night was not one with hair in her face. She was the Mona Lisa for the night. She thought it would be even funnier if she had a picture frame to carry but alas she didn't have one. And it was not like she could just pull one off the wall. Their were actual moving people in there! She did not doubt that they would put up a fight to stay in the frame. She smiled at herself in the mirror before getting up and heading out of her room in the Ravenclaw tower. She knew she was already late and the Feast started. Adding the time it would take to get to the Great Hall she figured she'd miss a lot. It didn't really matter for her however as she hadn't really planned on staying. She barely knew anyone who would be there. Mostly her own fault. The girl tended to hide away in the Ravenclaw tower so she wouldn't get caught up in her older sister's drama. The older girl had already begun to pick on a few of the students, or so she heard through others. Her sister would never actually tell her that she did so, it was always through others she'd hear about it. She knew the girl picked on a Gryffindor boy named Tybalt. She did not know much more about him. But she did know what he looked like, him being a class or two with her.

Finally getting to the Great Hall the girl pushed open the doors and walked in. She moved off to the side as to not get in the way of others and found a table that still had plenty of snacks on it. She wondered if the House Elves below them continued to restock the tables using their type of magic. Hearing a boy yelling at another nearby she looked up. Reconizing one as a Gryffindor who taught her how to Skip Stones she made her way over and stood just inside the circle of others gaining interest in what was going on. She heard Kyle yell something about Rose going to the ball with him and not the other. Of course they were already here at the dance so she didn't see why they couldn't just both dance with the girl. However listening to the whisphers around her she gathered it wasn't actually about this party but another near Christmas. Bituin then reconized the girl as another Gryffindor, Rose. She had met the girl on the North Tower one day and she had seemed to be a very nice person. Running out of the cirle and to the girl she held up her hands at the boys. "Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop! Don't hit each other!" The young girl yelled at the two boys trying to convince them to stop hitting each other. Or at least she thought she yelled, but she had a normally quiet voice and her yelling was not much better.

I hope none of you mine me popping into thread. I figured she could be one of those 'victims'

Wes was hopeful that the other boy would play along with it, though he had no idea how they would really create something to fight about. It seemed a little silly. They were first years, what did they really have to fight about. But, Wes didn't really mind he would go with whatever the other boy thought of in the time, and if he didn't, Wes would try, though he was hopeful he didn't need to. Wes had, had a few fights in his last school. They were playground things, stupid, but he could actually handle himself in a fight that was with someone his size, so he imagined that this fake fighting would be the same. And really all it had to be was convincing. They had to appear as though they were fighting. They had to look as though they were really hurting one another, though Wes didn't really think they would at all. It was why his shove hadn't been all that hard. It had been light the only way it could actually hurt the other boy was if he wasn't paying attention and fell to the floor. But he didn't. The other kid firmly held his ground, just taking the normal few steps back to make it look a lot more realistic. Wes was actually enjoying himself now. Though they were only a few seconds in, it would be a lot better than standing around with a few people and just bobbing along to the music. Eating and drinking and just having a very boring time. He hadn't wanted that and this was so much better. He wasn't going to feel bored doing this. As long as they both were able to keep it going. Keep it interesting. Rather than boring and awful. Wes had to stop himself from smiling, when the other boy responded. Who proceed to close the gap and punch him very lightly in the stomach. Wes doubled over slightly, pretending to clutch his stomach where the punch had landed. What the boy said next surprised him slightly, though he tried to keep his face as neutral as he possibly could. There was the motive they had to fight. Wes pretended to be annoyed by this. In reality, he didn't actually care. The boy had no intentions of going to the Yuleball, so in the end if this other boy wanted to take her, he wouldn't stand in the way.

Wes glanced over at Rose as she yelled, calling the other boy something and then demanding what was going on. Wes pretended to ignore her. Wes pretended once again to shove the other boy away from him. Then he closed the gap between them. He took a fistful of the boys shirt. "Is that right, now?" His voice was lower than before, threatening. The slytherin boy was desperate to try to be threatening. Someone else spoke, but this time he didn't even glance over, he just pretended to knee the other boy in the stomach before letting go of the shirt and taking a small step away. "You're f##king pathetic you know that" Wes snarled at the boy, obviously not really meaning it, but appearing like he was. He pretended to push the boy again. "Don't f##king flatter yourself. Rose deserves more than your sorry face as a date for the Yuleball." Wes pretended to shove the boy even harder this time. "as I said before, you little piece of sh!t"

Kyle could feel the eyes of people turning towards them and their number was increasing as the seconds passed. He heard Rose say his name he punched the boy. Well at least he was sure that they were putting up a convincing act. He took a glance at Rose who looked annoyed and confused but now was not the time for explanations. They would have to be heard later. He watched as the boy clutched his stomach pretending to have felt the pain that his punch had brought. He had to keep all his expressions under control no matter how much he was enjoying this. He bulged his eyes out a little as the boy quickly took two steps towards him and gripped his shirt. As this happened, Kyle put his hands on the boys hands and pretended to try hard to get them off his shirt. His eyebrows coming together and his face showed pure annoyance. They both chose to ignore someone else in the crowd who was asking them to stop. Kyle pretended to take short quick breaths of air in anger as the boy threatened him. "Understandable that a coward like you can't bare the truth of the matter" he snarled back at the boy.

Just as these words escaped his mouth, as Kyle quite expected it another blow came. This time the boy kneed him in his stomach. It was not something that hurt yet Kyle pretended to go back more steps than before as he held his stomach at the point where he was supposed to have felt the pain. His face's expression now showing some pain as well as more anger as the boy talked on and said that Rose deserved better than his sorry face. Kyle was glad that he had played along. He did not have the time to think about Rose's thoughts about their fight because everyone was watching them. "Shut your filthy mouth!" he shouted at the boy just as he was shoved twice and he pretended to lose his balance the second time, still clutching his stomach and falling backwards.

It had seemed to be a bad landing but Kyle was luckily not hurt. He had not been so sure if his fall would hurt him or not but they needed to spice up their fight more and this action was just what they needed. "Your going to pay for this" he said as he quickly got back to his feet and extracted his wand. Of course he was not going to curse him because the climax of their play did not need any magic to seem very real. They had it all planned out. But they did not want to lose the attention and interest of their audience just yet by doing their final act. They would have to wait and watch as the two boys would unfold the end. Kyle took a few steps forward and begun to form a circle on whose circumference on and separated by 180 degrees stood the two young boys. "Stupefy!" he shouted his wand held firmly in his hands but surely pointed not on the boy. It was also not pointed towards anyone else. The spell was meant to come in such a way that it would miss the boy by two inches or so and hit a goblet of pumpkin juice that lay on a table .

Rose had witnessed many fights. They had been small petty fights.Nothing too serious. The boys were always quick to forgive each other afterwards and usually there were punches and shoves but the girls were vicious. There would be hair everywhere, scratches and red marks from slaps. Girls would also take much longer to forgive. The endless whispering and b!tching would be terrible.Rose had been the subject of that before. She usually wasn't violent but when her temper took over she could as vicious as the next girl. She didn't really whisper behind the back though. She wouldn't forgive them if they didn't deserve it but she would just be quiet and ignore the person until they realized what they had done wrong.Luckily she hadn't been in much fights.Sometimes she would be the one to try and stop the fights because most other people would stand and watch. She had never intervened with the boys, they were usually much bigger and stronger then her and they punched.A slap or scratch she could handle but a punch would leave more permanent damage.

So in most cases Rose would try to break up the fight but this one seemed a lot more nasty then her ones at home. They had never cursed and frankly Rose didn't even know what those words meant. She had never heard them before but they sounded like curse words. She didn't see why they were using them, they were very vulgar sounding. This was getting out of control. They now had an audience watching them. Some looked as shocked as she did and others seemed to be enjoying it.Rose was close to screaming at this stage. She was much more irritable this day and she was on edge. She wasn't herself. Her emotions were all over the place and now she didn't know whether to scream, cry and give the two of them a slap across the head for being so stupid. She briefly heard someone beside her but she was too worried about what was happening in front of her to look and see who it was. They were saying all this rubbish about her and the Yule Ball. It really was stupid."Stop"She said this time it was almost a scream, earning them more attention from people near by.Rose had finally nearly had enough and was about to try and do something at least when Kyle took out his wand. This was taking it a step to far.Thankfully it missed Wes but a glass of pumpkin juice flew up in the air, wetting the people beside it.She went to her pocket to take out her own wand but she had left it back at the dorm. "Stop it both of ye"She said her voice almost a growl this time. She really was hitting boiling point and these two boys would regret it once she started spilling over.

Bitiun couldn't understand the fighting and as a young girl who knew nothing of swear words she did not actually understand most of what was being said either. It was upsetting to see two people fighting especially when she knew one of the people. He had seemed so nice when she first met Kyle by the lake. He even taught her how to skip stones across the water. It had been a fun moment and a nice one away from the constant studying in her house. The girl barely got out of her house, for she knew once she came to the door she'd have to answer a question to get back in, and it was always different and difficult. She hated going into the Ravenclaw house. Typically she'd wait around the corner for an older student to head towards the portrait and then join them when the magical doorway opened up.

Watching as the boy who she did consider to be a friend pull out his wand at the other she was surprisesd. She would never except this from the boy. She noticed her other friend the girl was reaching for her wand and so Bituin pulled hers out and held it in hand in case either of the boys decided to send a spell this way. Her friend Rose did not seem to have her wand so Bituin was glad that she did. It was obvious by her tone that she was angry with both of the boys and so the Ravenclaw assumed that she knew both of them. Both of the trouble makers. "This is not the time or place to have a duel or fight!" She stated in a louder more clear tone then before. Bituin took to her friend, Rose's side. Her only hope was that they would stop and the ball could continue without incident.

One thing that Wes hadn't even considered was a fight using wands. Now, he was open to the idea, but it was much more in the sense of how would they be able to control them. They were young first years they were not very good yet at controlling and knowing if the spells would work. In the back of his mind he was thinking about how it could in fact be that way. This fight could lead that way. In the back of his mind, he was actually more interested in if they could avoid fighting like that. He wouldn't know. It would depend on what he though if it occurred. For now he was just having fun. And fun was the most important thing for the young Slytherin. Something he picked up on was the two girls, rose and some other girl both looked a little surprised by the choice of words. wes didn't mean them. He thought of them as just words. It was all an act, but they wouldn't know that, it was kind of the whole idea behind it. Now one apart from him and the boy he was fighting knew that they weren't doing it for any other reason than fun. He was pretty sure that they were being very convincing. One thing was for certain, Wes was having a lot more fun now than he had been before the other guy had chosen to speak to him. Wes had to de the smile as the other boy pretended to fall badly to the ground. He turned it into a satisfied smirk. Taking small steps away from him, creating much more of a distance between them. Something that was pretty necessary. Give each one time to brief think about their next move. Wes watched as the other boy got back to his feet, spoke and then brought out his wand. Wes let out a fake laugh. "Oh look, a monkey with a stick. That will really help you." Wes smirked again. Pretending to not be threatened by the boy at all. Like it didn't matter that a wand was being pointed at him.

The boy shot a spell and Wes made it look as though at the last moment he jumped out the way. Wes looked back at the where the jug had fallen over. Wes let his eyes drift back to the boy. He considered getting his own wand out. It wouldn't help much. Wes wanted to have fun, and no injury people. So the thought of doing magic in a room like this was not appealing to the boy. Instead, he made a point as he flexed slightly. "That wasn't a good move, a##hole." Wes' voice was noteably calmer than before. As if he was preparing for something. Wes knew he had to get this spot on. He looked as though he was about to stretch but he broke into a run. Running dirty towards the Other boy. He ignored the two girls trying to get them to stop. Wes rugby tackled the other boy, though very carefully turning his body as they fell to the floor, just so that Wes knew he, himself would hit the ground and not the other boy. He knew he'd probably end up landing fairly hard, and all in the name of the other boy not actually getting annoyed at him, it was the best method. His back met the ground with a hard thud, but he wasted no time in continuning to pretending to hit the other kid. Now this was definitely fun.

Professor Jacqueline Black was in the Great Hall, not dressed up this year. She was here for the sole purpose of supervising the Halloween feast as were many of the other professors in the school. She was sipping on the spiced pumpkin juice that had always been a favorite of hers. The Transfiguration professor's attention was grabbed as she heard shouting near her. Her icy blue eyes scanned the room until she saw the source of the commotion. There were two boys shoving each other and screaming profanities. There also seemed to be a girl involved. Jacqueline sighed and shook her head. She walked quickly but calmly over to where the boys were. She pulled out her wand and flicked it at the two boys, separating the two of them. "Freeze." she said in her authoritative voice. "Tell me your names and houses. Now." she said in an icy cool voice. Both of Jacqueline's hands were firmly on her hips as she waited for the children to answer her.

Kyle knew this was going to be legen-wait for it-dary! This was definitely going to go up to the top of his list of pranks that he had played because it was huge and he knew later on they would end up in some sort of punishment or something but it was all going to be worth the fun they were having at moment. He could now hear Rose's voice not almost a scream that could clearly be heard and reflected her anger. She would just have to understand later on that they did not mean to upset her but at the moment she would just have to watch what came next. The climax was about to unfold and there was no stopping it. Kyle pretended to have been angered by narrowing his eyes angrily at the boy as he called Kyle a monkey and the wand a stick. He knew using the wand even when he made sure not to target anyone was dangerous in this place packed with students. He could easily harm one of them and then he was sure to be expelled. As the boy did not take his own wand, Kyle's theory was just confirmed. He was not going to use his wand any further in the act. It was time for the climax anyway.

The boy seemed to have seen that too because he begun running towards Kyle. Kyle prepared himself for the hit in that mini second and as it came it was quite lighter than what the audience must have thought. Kyle pretended to be to slow for the boy's rugby tackle and turned a bit before falling once again to the ground his hands wrapped around the boy's showing the audience that he was fighting back. When the pair landed however they were a few inches far. "I need no wand to take someone like you" Kyle shouted and he became the first one to get on his knees and bridge the gap between himself and the boy. Looking down at the boy's face, Kyle made his face to look annoyed and yet triumphed as he now had the advantage of the height as well as what he now extracted from his pocket. The fake knife. It was just visible to the audience for a second and within that second Kyle quickly had put the fake blood bag in his other hand. "You're going to learn a big lesson today and that is to never mess with me" he said with a smirk as he put the fake knife not into the boy's skin but rather into his robes, concealing the edge inside the robes and the handle remaining out. The effect was automatic. The fake blood bag burst because Kyle had been careful and had placed his other hand exactly on top of the boy's heart where he was planning to put the fake knife into the boy's breast pocket. Fake blood started pouring out as if from his robes and the knife remained safely tucked into the boy.

Kyle's expression changed now. In an instant he pretended to have realized the seriousness of his actions and the audience that watched him and said in a very audible and scared voice "Oh My God. I killed him." He tried and successfully masked the grin which he wanted to show and made his face look horrifies and pale. At that very moment after he spoke the words. Someone seemed to have cast a spell over him. He could not move. Well he was not scared. The act was over and the prank was played. He watched their audience smirking in his head and looked at the Professor who seemed to have put the spell on him and maybe even the boy. If he was frozen like Kyle that would make him look very dead indeed. "I'm sorry Professor, I did not mean to kill him. Just seriously injure" he said his voice still sounding scared. He knew it was a few seconds or maybe a minute before the other boy would wake and everyone would scream or something thinking that he is a ghost and then the two of them would laugh.

Rose didn't understand what had gotten into the two. She didn't see why they were fighting over her especially over the Yule Ball. Like really? It was so stupid. She didn't want to go with either of them at this stage. She doubted she would forgive either of them for a long time either. She barely knew the two of them but they were her friends and she hated the way they were fighting and ruining the night for some people. Not to mention the fact that they were probably going to get in trouble. Something like this doesn't go unnoticed, especially since quite a few people had surrounded them now.Rose's anger started to deflate a bit. The more she thought about it the more she realized,it wasn't worth getting angry over this. They could have their fight she didn't care. They could get in trouble and lose house points or get detention for all she cared. She wanted to leave but as she turned she realized there was no way she would be able to push herself through the crowd. She would be trampled on as she was so small. She turned around and folded her arms. She glared at the two boys.Calling them every bad name under the sun.

Rose gasped when she saw the knife in Kyle's hand. He wouldn't do that She said to herself. She had only known Kyle for a short period of time but she never thought he could stab someone. But then he lunged and blood started squirting from Wes. No she said in her head. Refusing to believe what had happened. She stared in horror at Wes lying on the floor with blood pouring from no where.some Professor then came and froze the two boys. But Rose wasn't frozen, she walked over to Wes and kneeled beside him, ignoring Kyle and the Professor. It was then that she saw the blood bag.Her expression turned from horror to complete and utter anger. This had all been a prank. From the very beginning. Maybe if Rose hadn't been so irritable lately she would have seen the funny side to it. She should have expected it after all the two liked pranks or just having fun. But Rose couldn't see the funny side of this. Not in the mood she had been in lately. What she felt like doing at the moment was strangling the two with her bare hands. She stood up ,the blood bag being crushed in her fists "This was all a prank"She said her voice dangerously low and quiet so really only Kyle,Wes and maybe Bituin and the Professor could hear her. She knew her expression was almost murderous. She had wanted to enjoy tonight, maybe do one or two small little pranks. She wouldn't have minded, she probably would have laughed and forgotten about her rising panic if someone had done a small prank on her but this had gone a step to far. The boys had only been messing but then had picked the wrong time to do that.

Wes wondered if they were pushed it a little much. After all it was just a Prank but someone is always a victim in a prank and Wes was pretty sure that someone would end up being very annoyed. After all he didn't want his parents to find out about this. He knew that they would not approve of it. Pranks were not something either of his parents enjoyed learning about when Wes was involved. Most because it was his fault. He ran at The other boy knowing that this would be the climax. He was wondering if they would get into trouble for it. He was pretty sure that Rose would no longer be their friend. Or even his friend. But he didn't really mind. All he was interested in now was just finishing this. Putting on a show and walking away with a smile. And the boy he was fighting, well there was a friendship he would not be able to escape. They had done this together. There was deny that they now had something close to a strong bond. Even if it was a little insane. A little crazy. A little, well weird. Wes knew that once it was over he'd have to ask the name of the other guy. He'd make sure that they do more things like this. Maybe next time include Rose, since Wes was sure that she needed a little bit of fun in her life. Just like he did and clearly like this other guy did too. Wes had to work really hard to not smile as the other kid spoke and drew out the very fake weapon that Wes had given him at the very start of this. Wes did a little nod, this is okay. Almost telling or egging the other boy on so he would. The fake knife plunged down and Wes just closed his eyes and pretended to go limp. What he didn't really see coming was Rose at his side. She knelt down beside him. This was odd. He had thought that him and Rose were just slight friends. He didn't understand how slight friends could do something like that. But things quickly changed. Like any young prank, things eventually came to head. Things eventually finished. One thing the young slytherin could say was no matter the prank part of the fun was when someone realised it.

Wes continued to lie on the floor, just as he felt Rose stand and say in dangerously low tone what it had been the entire time. This was his opportunity to get up. His t-shirt now sticky from the fake blood drying in. He opened his eyes a little and looked around. Giving a smirk to the boy he'd just done all of it with. This was one for the memories. It really was. Although as he attempted to get to his feet he realised that he was basically frozen. He could move, or stand. He looked around and noticed a professor standing before them. Oh dear, they would be in trouble. However despite this, and despite the look of pure hatred in Rose's face it had been worth it. He looked at the other boy, and this time a very happy smile appeared on his face.He was looking up at the other guy. "I'm Wes, Wes Amherst, first year Slytherin." Wes looked around at the other girl he didn't know and the teacher. "Good fight." Wes wasn't sure what was about to happen next. A part of him was sure that they were about to get into a whole heap of trouble, no matter what he was happy, and would not change anything for a second.

All good things come to an end, just like the prank. Kyle had been having so much fun but he knew stretching it more than this would have ruined it. As he waited for a few seconds for Wes to show signs that would bring an end to this and he got none he realized that the freeze charm must be on him. As Rose said in a low dangerous tone that all this had been a prank, Kyle's horror struck face changed into a grin as he said "And you got to admit, a very good prank." As his grin grew bigger a few people who were watching laughed and others made angry remarks. Kyle could not have expected a better end. He knew that he was going to end up in trouble but he did not care. He watched Rose besides the boy and wished he could move closer to the pair to get a good view of them. He wanted to find out if Rose was going to forgive the pair or not. She was a nice friend and she knew how to cook and Kyle wanted to learn to cook many more things besides the cake which they had baked last time. The freeze charm was holding him in place and he could see the boy who now opened his eyes and smiled at him. The boy introduced himself as Wes and he was from Slytherin. Kyle had known all along that Slytherin house was not bad and this was just another proof. "I'm Kyle Cavanaugh, Gryffindor first year" he said introducing himself.

He took a quick glance at the Professor wondering if they were ever going to be released from the freeze charm. He knew she needed that information and he wondered what she was going to do with them next. His attention was however once again diverted as Wes said it was a good fight. "Totally. The best prank I have played so far" he told Wes with a grin. He then looked at Rose and said trying to sound as apologetic as possible "We didn't want you to be very upset." The others in the audience started to scatter around and go back to 'enjoy their boring feast.'

Rose wasn't very close friends with Wes,they barely knew each other but if she thought he had been stabbed she was going to go over and check.Even if some randomer had fallen onto the floor with blood pouring out of them she would go over and check. She had gone through a lot of conflicting emotions. She was struck by the brilliance of the prank, embarrassment for believing the two and anger for them pranking her in the first place. She wasn't sure what to think.Anger had won over though due to the rising anger during their fight over their stupidity.Once everyone found out it was a prank there were a lot of different reactions. Most people were laughing and the two boys were grinning. If she hadn't been so irritable lately she wouldn't have gotten as angry earlier on.

Rose had to calm her anger. They had only been messing, trying to make the feast more entertaining and in fairness to them they had provided amusement for a lot of people. Rose closed her eyes and took deep breaths. She didn't want her anger to ruin the night. If she had been watching herself she would have found it amusing ,maybe a bit over the top but it had been a good spectacle.Rose forced a smile on her face "It was"She said agreeing. She wondered what the Professor was going to do.Rose shook her head "Don't worry, I've just been irritable lately. It was a great prank"She said her smile bigger this time.

Professor Jacqueline Black was not amused as both of the boys seemed to be. She tapped her toe impatiently at the boy's cheeky remark. These boys had disrupted the fun of the dance for all of the other students with their fight. Prank or no prank, such a public scene was not going to be toleration. She looked pointedly at Wes, the Slytherin, who was the first to answer her questions. Her cold blue eyes then turned to the cheeky Gryffindor. Jacqueline raised her eyebrow at Kyle's comments. "I wouldn't say so." she said coolly. "I will be informing both of your Heads as to your behavior here at the Feast. For now, we will start by taking 20 points from each of your houses for your behavior. You both need to leave the Great Hall now and return to your dorms." Jacqueline said clearly dismissing them both. She hoped that they would think twice about pulling another prank like this.
