Gryffindor Quidditch Practice

He saw the bludger coming towards him and was relieved to see that it soared right past him. Continuing his search for the Snitch, Tomas glanced up at the Beaters every now and then

Gabriel was a bit late to the party but he had been giving others a chance to play too. After mounting his broom and kicking of from the ground he watched as the game went by. He flew a few laps and than saw Frankie missing. He smiled at his friend Marcos and put on his thumb, he was doing a good job. But he himself wanted to score and train for the next game. Gabriel saw an chance and catched the quaffle as it was thrown back into the game. He flew quickly and was on his way and stayed focused. He needed to score even if it was by his best friend. He would let Marcos really work with his attempt to score.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry that I am responding so late

Marisol smiled sympathetically at Frankie when her shot failed to go through the hoops but she told the younger girl, "Don't worry, keep shooting!" The only way she was going to get better was to keep trying and she wanted to encourage her not to give up. Marisol flashed Marcos a smile as well for doing a good job in blocking and then focused on the rest of the game again. She tailed after Gabriel who currently had the quaffle and tried to catch up to him to see if she could gain possession of the ball soon.

Frankie was surprised to hear a shout from somewhere beside her as she followed Gabriel out of the scoring zone and off around the pitch, but she shot a grin and a thumbs up at her captain once she had pinpointed the voice. "I'm on it, cap!" The older girl's words let her fully shake off the little patch of self-doubt, and Frankie was glad to look ahead to a time when she could once again take possession of the Quaffle to have another shot.

Gabriel was ready to score as he made his way to Marcos. He wouldn't make it easy for his best friend. The blonde boy aimed for one of the hoops but missed as he threw it hard. Gabriel hated losing or failing so he sighted, but he wasn't the only chaser that missed. He hoped to have a chance soon again. Marcos was really doing a great job and when Merrill wasn't around he had to play for the team. A keeper was very important to the team too. But Gabriel was irritated by the fact that he had missed.

Catching the Snitch seemed like an impossible thing to do once again. There was no hint of the tiny golden ball anywhere and Tomas was sure that he would start to lose his mind if he wouldn't catch a glimpse of it soon.

Marisol grinned encouragingly at Gabriel even though he had also missed his shot because she was sure at some point in the practice they would get it. At least it was good to see that Marcos was doing well when Merrill couldn’t be here. As the ball was thrown back into play, Marisol swooped forward to catch it, glad to finally have a chance at it and flew around to do her half lap.

Jacob continued to fly and believed that the practice was going well. Taking a swing at another bludger, the twelve year old was happy to hear the familiar thwack of it connecting and watched as it soared right into the Seeker. He'd tried hitting him and ended up hitting someone else before, and while he felt badly for hitting the guy, he was pretty happy about connecting with his actual target this time around. Tomas was a good Seeker, and he hoped the guy wouldn't be too mad at him.

Tomas dived. He'd seen a glint of gold from up were he was hovering and was sure that it was what hw needed to catch. Stretching out his right arm once he caught up to the tiny ball, the Gryffindor didn't see the bludger coming for him. He glared at Jacob once it had made impact, the pain in his shoulder worsening. He turned his head around with the hope to see the Snitch still flying in front of him but of course it had vanished. Cursing softly, the Seeker started his hunt for the Snitch again.

Lizzie hung back a bit more than was her usual in practices, watching how Jacob took to his role more than she was interacting with the game herself. She gave another encouraging cheer when he landed another shot, before remembering what she was supposed to be doing and returning to the fray. Swinging at the other bludger she sent it heading towards the keeper, but her shot missed and flew wide of Marcos, barely missing colliding with one of the hoops.

As much as Frankie had been disheartened by her own failure at scoring a goal, she wasn't any happier that Gabriel had missed as well. Hopefully Marisol would finally get one past the keeper, being the most experienced chaser on the team. Frankie flew after her, keen to keep in motion.

Tomas was positively sure that the impact the blugder had made with his shoulder was the reason why he wasn't able to concentrate on doing what he was supposed to be doing, which was catching the Snitch. He only hoped that he wouldn't get hit a second time today.

Out of the corner of her eye Marisol noticed Jacob hit Tomas with a bludger and smiled proudly to herself at the events. Of course she didn't want Tomas to be hit repeatedly, but it was good for Kingsley that his aim was getting better, and probably good practice for Tomas too, to get used to being targeted. Thankfully it seemed that there were no series injuries for Tomas so Marisol continued on her way to the hoops and threw the ball easily past Marcos. She smiled at him encouragingly once more and then flew back to take a lap, letting one of the other chasers grab the ball this time.

Lizzie felt a slight twinge in her bat arm after her last swing, rolling her shoulder as she shot after the other bludger, trying to ignore the slight ache as she swung at it, the ball soaring barely under Marisol's broom.

Tomas watched the team from above in the hope to stay out of sight so he wouldn't get hit again. If was difficult to focus with the pain but was determined to catch the snitch again.

Frankie let out a loud cheer as Marisol got the Quaffle past their keeper. It was good to see at least one of them had been able to do so, and she was more determined than ever to improve her own skill. Frankie flew in to grab the Quaffle as it was thrown back out, and then soared off to begin her half-lap.

Lizzie flew after a bludger and gave it a rough swing, the ball sweeping harmlessly through the air Frankie had occupied moments ago. Lizzie scowled and rolled her shoulder, looking around for the other bludger. Although she wasn't trying as hard to hit people as she would during a real game it was still frustrating to have such rubbish luck.

Marisol felt a bludger fly under her broom and she was glad it had missed her because she knew Lizzie's hits could be painful. The practice seemed to be going well so far, at least the snitch had already been caught once, but she hoped Frankie could score soon to help her feel more at ease for the upcoming game, so Marisol cheered her on as she approached the hoops.

He dived once more, thinking that he had seen the Snitch near the northern hoops. However, when Tomas stopped to check if it was still there, it had vanished again. Groaning a little too loud, the Gryffindor turned around to look for it again.

As she soared through her half-lap, Frankie heard the tell-tale sound of a bludger streak through the air behind her. Glad that it had missed, she picked up a little speed and sped on back around toward the hoops. She watched the keeper a little more carefully this time during her approach, and her duck at the last minute towards the weakest ring paid off. Frankie pumped both fists in the air as the Quaffle went through, her balance on the broom steady. She officially felt back in the swing of things.

Still disappointed that he had failed to catch up to it, Tomas continued to look around for the golden ball

Gabriel watched as the game continued. After he had missed Marisol took posession and he flew along with her in case she needed his help. The blonde cheered as he saw Marisol score, but he also wanted to show that he could do that too. Frankie took the quaffle quickly after Marcos tossed it back and so Gabriel stayed with the hoops and smiled at Marcos for a moment. He was doing a good job. Gabriel hoped that they could play the next game together. Frankie came quickly back at the hoops and she scored too. Gabriel cheered and knew this would be another chance for himself. He looked at Marcos and catched the quaffle and made another lap so that Marcos could prepare again. He wanted to score too.

Frankie soared away from the scoring zone to follow Gabriel on his half-lap. She supposed there was always a possibility that he might drop the Quaffle, but she didn't really think – or want – that to happen. It was better that their team had several strong chasers to put forward in games.

Gabriel made his way around the lap and decided this has to be succesfull. He was confident about himself and wanted to make a future for himself in Quidditch. He wanted to train hard to be succesfull in the one thing he liked. Gabriel hated all the other classes and was kind of lazy for his homework. The blonde came closer to Marcos and gave him a grin. Gabriel was gonna let Marcos work really hard for a safe. The blonde flew quickly towards the hoops and only focused on the three hoops. He aimed for one and threw the quaffle hard! Gabriel saw it going through one of them and cheered when he noticed he scored. He put his fist into the air and smiled at Frankie and Marisol. They were a good team he figured and they were all ready for the next game.

Marisol cheered as the two newer Chasers also managed to score. She was confident that they could all work together and do well during a game. And the fact that Marcos had been able to block their earlier goals also balanced out the team, knowing he was good enough at his position as well. And of course Tomas had been able to catch the Snitch once already which was the most important part, so with all that going for them, and a few well positioned bludgers from the beaters, Marisol was feeling better about their performance after today's practice. Even if some bludgers hadn't made contact with a target, the mere sight of an oncoming bludger or hearing one whoosh nearby was scary enough to jostle a player, so that was still a good tactic as well. Once the ball was thrown back out Marisol caught it and blew the whistle. "Okay good practice everyone!" she said with a genuine smile. "Keep up the good work and be ready for the next game!" she said before heading down to the ground to hit the locker rooms.
