They were a few weeks into the semester and Ivy was pleased with how the team was growing. they had spent a few practices working on drills. Though she felt like this was a lot easier for some positions than others. She had read up on a few seeker drills but there wansn't a huge amount she could do. She had considdered doing training sessions for specific positions but didnt want to feel like she was preferencing some roles over others. today she was leaving the drills behind and they were having a game. It had taken her a while to work out how to split the team with the odd number of beaters and only one keeper but she was pretty sure she had managed to get it. she stood on the pitch with her broom in one hnd and a sports bag over her shoulder. as she waited for the team to arrive.
Once everyone was out on the pitch, she got their attention. "g'day everyone. Well done on the training so far this semester. I can definitely see us coming together as a team. Today, we are leaving the drills behind and having a sort of game. and splitting into two teams." She pulled out some reversible red and gold bibs that she had ordered and that had arrived a few days ago. "Aroha. You are leading team gold, with Miles, Tessaria and Kaysi. And joining me on team red are Laura, Felix and William." she said, throwing a bib to everyone as she said their name. "Daviana and Fiona. You are Team Gryffindor. Fiona it is your job to bring Chaos with the bludgers however you want to" she said looking at the alternate beater hoping it made sense and she didnt feel left out not being on one of the teams but sort of on both. "and Daviana, you are our keeper and guarding the hoop at whichever end you want, try and pass out to the opposite team to who had shot. chasers we are playing half pitch. Your team has to take the quaffle to at least the halfway line to reset before coming back to score." she said looking around the group hoping that there wasn't too many blank looks. "does anyone have any questions before we begin, for extra encouragement there might be some chocolate frogs for the winning team, and dont worry team gryffindor you are classed as on both teams" she asked looking around. she gave it a minute to see if anyone had anyhting to say then nodded. "alright. lets go" she said.

OOCOut of Character:
no arrivals. Just post playing. Be aware that the amount of activity throughout training will help determine who will start in the game. more activity and roleplaying is encouraged. have fun.
you should all be set up in the quidditch system. but if you are not seeing actions or you are in the wrong position let me know

Felix was excited to see this practice would be a little different, and was glad to be grouped up with Will for the mini game. Immediately the fifth year hopped on his broom and took to the skies, wasting no time at all in searching for the snitch. He most certainly wanted to prove himself against the other seeker, and as though to prove his point, the prefect caught the snitch almost as soon as it had been released. "Good start, huh?" he grinned, before letting it go again.

Ivy set the snitch and bludgers loose before she took to the sky with the quaffle in her hands. she hovered at the half way line. "Ready steady go" she called ebefore throwing it up as high as she could and watching to see who got it. she heard felix shout up and looked to see him holding the snitch. "Wow. nice work Felix. good catch. we are bound to win it you keep that up" she said. "next time let it get a bit of a head start before you next catch it", she said, a slight tease in her tone.

Felix grinned at Ivy although he was confident that his catch still counted. "Are we splitting the points, too?" Usually it would be an overall number of points for the full team, but he would be very pleased with himself if he had already given his mini team a 75 point boost. The fifth year flew off in the opposite direction to the snitch, trying to give it a chance before he went for it again.

Daviana had been feeling good about the practices. She was still learning how to be the best keeper she could be, but hopefully today would give her more than enough chance to block a few quaffles. She flew up to one of the sides to guard the hoops and steadied herself, ready to block her teammates.

Felix wondered what it would be like to help train another seeker one day, whether he had any tips or tricks. So far one of the best things that had been working for him was keeping his distance from the snitch and pretending he didn't want to catch it, which was what he was doing right now.

Felix flew a lap of the pitch, glad to see it wasn't raining today.

Felix wondered what it would be like for students to watch a game from the stands.

Ivy watched the quaffle rise high in the air in a neat arc and then start to fall. she looked around to see which ofthe other chasers were going to catch it

Felix did a little spin in the air just for fun, not because a beater hit him this time.

Seeing that the other chasers were not yet quite ready to play Ivy flew after the ball and caught it before starting to fly towards Daviana and the hoops.

Felix hoped he'd catch the snitch more often during practice than he was hit by a bludger.

Daviana saw Ivy coming towards her and prepared to block the quaffle.

The fifth year zipped through the air with an elegance that could only have been possible by someone who'd been flying for many years.

Daviana stayed alert for any quaffle that came her way.

Felix wondered where he would be hiding, if he were a snitch.

William got onto his broom and started looking around for bludgers as soon as practice started.

Felix kept within a few feet of William, hoping he'd defend him if Kaysi started looking at him funny.

Ivy flew towards the hoops slowly she was used to playing against Teddy or even linden. She needed to slow her game against someone new. She paused and threw the ball towards one of the hoops hoping that Daviana would be able to save it. She watched as she scored “good try daviana. Keep up the good work[/b] she called towards the keeper.

Felix whistled at Ivy as she scored their team some more points, before resuming his focus on finding the tiniest ball.

Team Gold. Kaysi listened to the instructions they were given and then flew up to the air as soon as they needed to. She immediately went after a bludger but they were quite active and it was a while before she took a swing...and then missed. Boy were the bludgers tricky today.

Felix was keeping a watchful eye out as to the bludgers positions.

Fiona was excited to get into it. It had been her final year and she had been on the team for a long time. It was bittersweet. Fiona listened carefully to what Ivy said. Fiona thought it was a bit strange she wasn’t on a team since she wasn’t an alternate, but she guessed she thought it was fun that she wasn’t on a team either. It wasn’t long until they were up in the air. Fiona started to look around for a bludger to hit.

Rising higher in the air Felix knew it might be harder to find the snitch but he started by getting a better idea of where his teammates were.

Flying lower, his head turned up and down the pitch, trying to narrow in on the snitch.
