Gryffindor Practise

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Andromeda stood by the trunk of Gryffindor equipment holding her broom and waiting for the others to show. She had sent a memo out but there was always the handful who mightened be able to make it. For now she only needed those who would be playing the first game, to make sure they were up to speed but if they all showed up well and good. She would never begrudge anyone a practise session,ever. Not sure how herself and Kat would work together on this she decided to just let it take its course.

Glancing at the board in front of her she hoped the team choices they had made were good ones and that no one had a beef about it.

 

[Kiera Kaster]

Kiera had heard that there was a Quidditch practice today. She had donned her gear and headed towards the pitch. She was slightly upset that she wouldn't get to play all the games but it wasn't that big of a deal. If all things went according to plan, Kiera would be playing for the Holyhead Harpies in a year, after the Olympics.

Kiera got to the pitch before everyone but Andy. She tried not to groan outloud. Why did she have to be here with just Andy? She ignored the girl, flying straight into the air. She would land when other teammates showed up. This would at least give her a chance to warm up.

 

[Katalina Harker]

Today was the first practice for the Gryffindor quidditch team. It was also the first time that she and Andy would be together at the same place since the falling out in the Great Hall. She grabbed her Scarlett Streak and headed down to the pitch. When she arrived she saw Andy on the ground and Kiera in the air. "Oi vey," Kat mumbled under her breath as she walked over to her ex-best friend. "Thanks for sending out the message to everyone," she said sincerely, hoping that this would at least be a decent way for them to be cordial to each other...and maybe one day friends again because even though Kat wasn't about to admit it out loud she missed Andy more than anything.

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary had gotten the message and went out to the Quidditch pitch. She had been a little dissapointed when she saw the team lists that she would only be playing one game, but knowing that she only had a year left and that they needed to let the younger students take over for them eventually made her feel a little better about it. When she arrived she saw that it was only her roommates on the pitch so far. Not really being a part of whatever was happening between them, and not really wanting to get into it she just called "Hi guys" kindly to them all and then hoped onto her broom and started practicing dives.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida ran down to the Quidditch pitch broom and bat in hand, She knew the new beaters were in the year higher then her but she still is the beater which had played against the other teams on this field so she had a few tricks to teach them, and she knew they had a few they could teach her.

Kida saw andy and dropped her broom and bat and charged at her "Andyyy" she said as she basically dived and hugged her, she had seen her only that morning in the dorm but still Kida loved giving Hugs, she saw Kiera and Kat, Kiera was in the air so fat chance she was getting a hug from her she was to high up, Kida saw Hilary aswell who was also up in the air but Kat was still on the ground but everyone seemed to be ignoring each other, Kida turned to Kat and held her arms out hoping for a hug but expecting a scratch.

 

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Andromeda turned as Kiera made her way out on to the pitch, she turned to say something anything to her but Kiera straddled her broom and took off. It was to be expected after all she sighed and sat down on the trunk for a bit until Kat approached. She really hoped this wasn't going to be awkward, she had such an urge to literally fling herself at Kat and apologize but knew she had to do a lot more than that to make up for what she had said, so for now left it alone.

Kat at least tried to be polite, so Andromeda returned this. If for nothing else but the team she would play along with the whole charade that they were cool with one another.
"No problem" she looked up as Hilary greeted them and immediately took off into the air as well. Andromeda stood up and sighed about to say something to Kat when she was torpedoed by Kida. It would seem fate had other plans for the girls, perhaps they weren't supposed to be friends or she simply wasn't supposed to apologize to them. She had still alot of things to sort out in her own head after all.

"Hi Kida" she smiled, "I didn't think anyone would miss me that much".
Since leaving dorm 4 she had indeed missed the group of girls but would be damned to admit it.
"Guess we'll wait a bit longer for the others to show up. You can go play as well if you want Kida" indicating the others flying about the pitch.

 

[Taylor Mercer]

Taylor was rather excited about Quidditch starting up again. She missed the sport and her team after last year had been such a success. This year, she hoped that Gryffindor could pull through and win the cup. Throwing her Nimbus 2001 over her shoulder, Taylor bounded down to the Quidditch pitch, already noticing a few of her fellow pride there. Walking up to Andy, Kat and Kida, Taylor gave them a grin. "Hey guys." She said with a smile, pulling her broom off her shoulders and holding it upright next to her. She let her eyes travel to the air where she found everyone already going through some warm-ups.

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary saw the others congregating and thought that maybe she should go over and find out what they were supposed to be doing. Flying up into the sky again, this time right above the group, Hilary flew a little circle around herself plotting her time. Then suddenly she dove downwards towards them almost keeping the dive going too long, then right at the last moment she pulled up a jumped off her broom. "That my dear pride mates is what we seekers like to call the Wronski Feint" she said with a smile gauging their reactions to her abrupt entrance.

 

[Katalina Harker]

Kat forced a friendly smile and greeted the other girls as they arrived. When Andy said something to Kida about not thinking that anyone would miss her that much Kat said under her breath, "I have." Jumping when Hilary Grace jumped off her broom she looked at her roommate and said jokingly, "That my dear is a good way to break that pretty little neck of yours."

 

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Andromeda looked about her and shook her head.
"Wouldn't you know it, it's all the boys we're waiting on. If they don't show up soon, I'll juggle the team list and have it an all girl team for the first match" she said it with a faint smile but she was also deadly serious.

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary smiled at Kat's response. She had been doing crazy things on her broom since first year and never really thought of it. "Well actually the point is for the opposing seeker to follow me and break THEIR neck.... but close enough" she responded while jokingly sticking out her tongue at her fellow prefect.

 

[Mike Gray]

Running down the pitch, like a greyhound at the betting stadium, Mike stopped apruptly, panting for breath. "Sorry... guys" Mike said, "Was.. held.. up" he apologised in between breaths. He had his broom in one hand, his other hand free. He winked to Andromeda, and smiled at everyone else. He did a quick head count, to see if everyone else was there, but it appeared that they weren't which at least made him a little better, as he wasn't the last one to arrive. Mike waited patiently for anyone else to arrive.

[ok can you all pm either myself or Kat to let us know if you are available for game play this weekend on wards? We were going to use team 1 from the list but if we end up having only who has posted in the quidditch pitch now for practise then we will have to obviously jiggle the list a bit. thanks you guys ]

Andromeda could not help but wink at Mike wondering if he had heard her last comment. She blew on her whistle and turned to Kat.
"Would you like to do the honors of kicking things off? calling this lot to order, there's probably not much point in waiting any late comers can jump into the fray" she told her, it had been a while now since they had talked and she missed it terribly though for the life of her would not show this in a fit.

 

[Katalina Harker]

Kat looked at Andy. Regardless of everything that had happened between the two of them she missed her horribly, but she knew better than anyone that once Andy set her mind to something then it was one hell of a time trying to get her to come back around and this time would be no different. Instead of saying anything to her she just smiled sincerely and replied, "How about you do this one. I got to do the honors last year so I'll step aside and let you take the reigns this time."

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary stood beside her fellow teammates waiting for the practice to start. She was itching to get started again as she really loved Quidditch. As she waited, she took off her goggles and rubbed them gently with her T-shirt still looking and smiling at her new captains.

 

[Rukevra Vanderzuk]

Sighing heavily, Ruki collected his broom; before taking off towards the Quidditch pitch. He was no longer in the mood to participate in anything since his frequent sleepless nights had taken over. With his eyes burning, and his head thumping, Ruki sleepily walked onto the pitched as the sound of a whistle past through his ear drums. At least it made him alert for a brief moment.

Seeing the already collected group, Ruki wondered if he was overly late. As his stepped closer, the numb student began an apology for his lateness; but stopped as soon as he started. "Andr..". The night in the Kitchens still weighed heavily upon his mind.

Sighing, Ruki stepped backwards. It seemed to be an action he had performed a lot since arriving at this school.

 

[Aeon Summers]

Aeon made his way sleepily out of bed and walked over towards the nearest window. His eyes hadn't adjusted to the light, so it seemed brighter than it was. "Damn Sun." He muttered, about the close the curtains over it when he saw a group of people at the Quidditch Pitch. "Hey, aren't they.." He began, realizing that practice was on that day.

After quickly getting dressed, Aeon ran down to the First Floor and charged out towards the Quidditch Pitch, one handedly trying to put on a jacket while his other hand held onto his Firebolt. "Waaaaaaaait!!" He yelled as he drew closer to the pitch, stumbling slightly as he tried to slow down. After regaining his breath, he quickly apologized for his lateness.

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary suppressed a giggle when Aeon ran onto the pitch with his jacket half on screaming at them to wait for him. That had been her countless times, and she was actually proud of herself for showing up on time. She placed her goggles back up on her head and began to do some stretches sitting on the ground.

 

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Taking a deep breath she wondered why she didn't feel nervous, this was after all her first real practise stint as the teams co.captain. She blew on her whistle, the loud shrill noise exploding from it. Waiting for her team mates to come around she kept it brief and to the point. She smiled as Aeon finally made his way out, shaking her head goodnaturedly, she glanced up at Ruki as well waited a moment for him to join the group, knowing what happened off the pitch had nothing to do with the team.

"Ok, I would have prefered a practise game today for all of us but with practically half our team missing, that's going to be difficult. So ... if you're all ok with this, myself and Kat will be the opposing team but with our wands. We'll stay right back against the North end hoops and direct the flow of the quaffle and snitch without us having to touch them but at least we get to see you all play up. As we have two of our seekers here, Hilary would you mind picking up as a chaser with Kiera and Aeon? So Mike take the hoops on the south end your keeper. Kida and Ruki will be knocking the bludgers so make sure none hit our chasers if at all possible. Taylor simply keep an eye for the snitch"
Turning to Kat as she picked up her beaters bat and held it out for Ruki to take.

"That sound ok? If the others start coming down we can slot them in".

Kat listened as Andy explained what she had planned on for today's practice session. It sounded perfect. Her bes...ex-best friend was just like Bruin in so many ways it was scary and it was no different when it came to quidditch. "Sounds like you've got this pretty much nipped in the bud," she said with a grin as she grabbed up her broom and waited for everyone else to get up in the air.

 

[Kiera Kaster]

Kiera heard Andy's whistle. She had finally been relaxing for the first time in several days. Kiera flew to the ground and landed. She listened to Andy's plan with a grin on her face. She nodded her head at the instructions. Sounded brilliant to her. Kiera was excited to practice her skills. "Sounds like a plan to me." she said in agreement.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida heard Andy begin Practice and she Mounted her broom and grabbed her beaters bat, "Yay Here Bludgys" she said before kicking off into a light Hover, Kida Fixed up her glove and re gripped her bat before holding onto her broom with one hand and flying up higher into the air and waited for Ruki to Join Her.

 

[Hilary Grace]

Hilary listened to her new captain and simply nodded at playing chaser. It was like they were playing for club teams again. She smiled at her teammates and waited for the mini game to begin.

[ok so use your scoring details that way our new team members will get used to using them just put the name of the position you're playing in that catagory, don't mind mine... if Kat and Andy are merely waving our wands ..we are the masters ]

Andromeda straddled her own broom, whipped off her whistle and tossed that and the clipboard to the ground. Taking out her wand she gave the trunk one swift kick which opened it and released the balls in the air. Whizzing and zooming swiftly about them.
"To the skies comrades" she laughed kicking off herself and heading directly to the North end hoops to wait for Kat. Her wand hand ready she smiled, "Game On".

As he stood listening to the others talk, Ruki could only wonder why he was here. What was the true reason he had wandered to the Quidditch pitch. He had no motivation to even try with the game any more. The past few days had weighed heavily upon his mind. The days at this school hadn't been going so well.

Any thoughts running through his mind vanished as a bat was thrust in his direction. "Beater?" he questioned himself. What happened to Chaser. Frowning, Ruki took a-hold of the bat; before mounting his broom, and taking flight. This position was new to him. How was he even supposed to hit the damn Bludgers.
