It had been a hard few years for the Headmistress, but she focused on the present moment and job. This wasn't something she could miss, so she had to pull her head in and focus on the now. Ava King glanced around the Hall, a small smile on her face. It was a bitter-sweet moment; a moment of sadness, that a number of great students were leaving Hogwarts. No year was ever the same, no student alike. But it was a moment of great pride. Ava was proud of every single student that was graduating. She was proud of the Professor's for teaching everyone well enough for them to pass. Ava watched the graduates and their guests making their way into the hall and each taking their seats. The Professor smiled at each one, knowing that she had to have a brave face for each person today.

Once everyone was seated, the Headmistress made her way to the front of the stage, still smiling to the crowd. "Welcome parents, guests, and most importantly, graduates. Thank-you to everyone who made it here to join us in celebrating and honouring the graduating class of 2039." Ava focused her attention on the students graduating. "Graduates, remember that this is not the end, it is simply the beginning. You are going into a world where anything is possible, so dream big, and work hard. I'd now like to welcome up Gryffindor Head of House, Professor Kingsley." Ava finished before moving away from the podium and clapping for Cyndi.

Out of Character: Important Information
This thread is for Graduates and Speakers to post in. Graduates please do not post until the Head Girl has posted. Guests and Spectators can post in the 'Guest' topic.

Stepping up to the podium, the Gryffindor Head of House cleared her throat before addressing the crowd. The woman had been in the same footsteps as the students over a decade ago. It was crazy how quickly time flew. "Hello all seventh years, parents, students, and guests." The woman smiled at the crowd. "Unfortunately, our Head Girl is not present at the moment to make her speech. As her Head of House, I know that Aaren would have wanted to offer you all congratulations on your accomplishments and wish you all the best of luck as you move on from school and into the rest of your lives." The witch finished and stepped off the stage so that the Headmistress could continue the ceremony.

Everyone had come so far since they first started, and Professor King was proud to have been part of her students' journey. Once Cyndi was finished with her speech, Ava enthusiastically clapped along with the crowd and approached the podium as the Head of House made her way back to her seat.
"Thank-you Professor Kingsley! Class of 2039, remember this day fondly, but keep on keeping on. Don't ever give up; keep that chin up! Congratulations students!" Ava finished warmly. As she called each student up, and shook their hands, Ava wished each and every one of them luck, hoping the best for their futures.

It's time Graduates! You can now RP your character coming on stage, getting his or her diploma and then sitting back down until the end of the ceremony.

Mandalyn was near tears, sitting down and waiting for her name to be called. She'd not been able to pick out faces in the crowd, but she knew she had some support. Her mind was filled with many things, such as thoughts of her mother and what she would do. Would she be proud? When Andi found her she would ask her. Her father crossed her mind as well, if he would love to see her graduating - if he was even still looking for her. The blonde brushed curls back slightly before she heard her name. She stood legs shaking like a fawns, and she gripped her diploma with a smile and a hand shake, then took her seat. This was one of the happiest day of her life.

It was definitely a day of strangely dull emotions, when Sage had first started at Hogwarts she had been sure she'd be head girl, she had wanted that. She had felt like she would reach graduation and just be the happiest she'd ever felt, this day just for her, but in reality, the day itself felt a little like a let down. She'd attended two previous graduation ceremonies and found them both long and dull, well, aside from that speech from the head boy who'd said nothing. But this time, it was her turn. Her turn to pick up her diploma and then move on from this school, these people and this life. Sage glanced into the crowd, spotting her father with ease, and then also Ferdinand, as if she would've invited her mother, the only person she really wanted to see was her friend, since she knew the minute she was able to leave school she would be able to do everything that she hadn't during this school year. It had been a long, dull year really, she'd tried her best with the monthly, and had done all she could with the Heta Omega, having hoped to set up a little bit more, but her NEWTs had been a little more pressing than that. Sage was perfectly poised. She held her head high and a faint ghost of a smile hinted on her lips.

Every last strand of her brown hair sat in place. Her eyes looking up at the podium as the head of Gryffindor house spoke, rather than the head girl. Sage didn't even try to hide the sigh of annoyance or the fact she rolled her eyes, useless, of course. As it came close to getting the names read out, Sage brushed the black skirt of her elegant dress enjoying the soft blue colour, she couldn't wait to not have to wear a silly uniform every day. She couldn't wait to just get out of this place really, the girl stood when it came to nearly her time, exactly when instructed to, she had chosen a pair of heels for the day, but unlike some of the other people in her year, Sage walked as easily in those as she did in trainers. Finally her name was called and with her head held high she walked across the stage, accepting her diploma and shaking the headmistresses had with a thanks. She walked off the stage, stealing a glance out to the audience at to the only two people she wanted to see in the crowd. She couldn't believe that was it, she had worked all of that time for this, and it was over so quickly. The girl still found a small smile on her face, proud of her achievement and keen to just move forward with her life, this was definitely not the best day of her life, but one that would lead to bigger and better days.
