Deep in the heart of the cold, merciless Mount Cook lies the lair of the devils, Devlin and Chyou and the little ones. A tiny path leading to a tiny opening of the cave was the way to enter the sanctuary of the devils. The unfriendly cave manor is restricted only for the family, if a relative is to come then an appointment is to be made or the three headed dogs would still be unleash to tear their flesh apart. These two Scitoraris decided they needed a place to hide from filthy human beings who may contaminate the mind of their little ones. Having children was hard enough for Chyou, having them adopting different ideas of life in such an early age sickened her. Hence isolating them and letting them associate only with people that Chyou approved is vital. By the time the kids turn 11, they should know what's right and what's wrong, who deserve to lie and who should be put to an end.

The babies were all well behaved, they don't cry much and don't make much noise. Perhaps they've learn to hate noise pollution since they were still tiny fetuses. Neither Devlin nor Chyou speaks much, the house was always at 'peace' or in other words coldly quiet. Chyou picked up little Daenerys, the youngest, the strongerst, and the alpha of the group. The boys dared not to cross her, they all follow her lead. They were taught to respect each other and to have each other's back. Chyou didn't want them to end up like Dorothy Howard the brat who made too much noise. "Dear, dear Daenerys never show mercy to those who deserve not" She picked her favorite little girl and sat her on her laps. Chyou had no idea that she would end up liking kids, if Devlin wasn't there to be with her then she might've killed these innocent souls. No matter how much she loves her babes, Devlin was still her everything.

Never did it cross Devlin Howard's mind that he would marry Chyou Jin and become the father of her children. He was not meant to become a family man. He was too messed up, too cold, too proud, too heartless. But he was too selfish too, and that selfishness would not let him allow Chyou to marry herself to another man. Chyou was his. They had been together for as long as he could remember, and although they fight most of the time, although they were constantly at each other's neck, constantly arguing, they only had each other. Their relationship was a strange one, far from the norm. But both he and Chyou had never been normal. And as strange and odd their relationship was, Chyou was the only one he truly cared for, even though he would never say that to her out loud.

Devlin closed the book that he was reading. Around him was his family. His children, to his relief, were very much well behaved. Chyou were right to isolate them from the others. The limited interaction with other's had made his children be more like them. That was great. Merlin knew what he would have done should his kids turn out to be like Dorothy. Even though they were his children, he probably would have disowned them right away. He watched his wife pick up their youngest, Daenerys. Even after years, it was still strange to watch Chyou act like this. Like he didn't expect that he would become a father, he didn't expect that she would become a mother. She was doing a good job at it too, or at least, he thought she did. He didn't know much about parenting, his own parents, after all, had been absent most of the time. His and Chyou's styles were different however, unlike his wife, he preferred to hive his children more liberty, merely giving an advice or two when he deemed it necessary. But his standards were probably far higher than his wife's. "Wrong," he inserted, his eyebrow raised at his wife's statement. "Never show mercy to anyone whether they deserve it or not." Mercy and compassion was for the weak. His children were not weak. He opened his book again to resume his reading. "Augustus, Lycus, Vladimir, are you done with the book that I assigned you to read?" He expected only a yes for an answer, after all, these were his kids.
