Takuya walked through the familiar grasslands of the Hogwarts castle, he had worked here for quite a long time, even amassing a position as one of the Deputy Headmasters in his time here. He had been forced to take a break for some personal reasons, however, and as such he had left the school & had only returned at the half-way point to the last semester. He had realised, however, in the whole time he had been back, he hadn't really made much of an effort to get to know any of the students that he taught on a daily-ish basis. It was the holidays now, so he had a good chance to actually get out and see some of the students, or maybe even a staff member. You'd think that the people you worked with would be the people that you saw all the time, but that wasn't always the case. Sometimes it felt like he knew as little about the Professors as he did about some of the students. It wasn't really a fitting situation for someone who had once been up-there in the chain of command of the school.
So, today, he was getting out. If somebody approached him, he'd speak to them, if nobody approached him, he might be interested in talking to them and getting to know them. He couldn't be sure how the day would go, but he knew that that was definitely the fun in life sometimes. Sometimes you just had to be optimistic, and actually put yourself out there in order to have some fun. Meet new people, make new friends, you were never really sure how it would turn out. But, Takuya was putting himself out there today & maybe, just maybe, he would make some new friends today, or meet some people he didn't know before. Or maybe he could help a student who needed some help. He wasn't sure and he couldn't be sure.
