Ever since Marnie had taught her to knit, Wish had been trying to challenge herself with her projects. She'd been working on smaller and smaller thread until she was confident she could knit a jumper small enough to fit a bowtruckle. It was summer now, but eventually it'd get colder and she thought it might be nice to make matching jumpers for herself and her bowtruckle friends in the forest. It was tricky, as Wish hadn't gotten a lot of experience in pattern drafting and trying to modify one to accommodate a bowtruckle's arms no simple task. She'd liked spending time in the arts room when it wasn't so busy. Crowded clubs weren't something she felt comfortable with, although the art part did sound nice. Wish was just about finished her latest jumper and held up her work to her face to get a better look. She frowned as she noticed a couple of holes where she'd slipped some stitches, and wracked her brain trying to think what she could do to fix it. She got up and began wandering around the room to example the contents of the craft cupboards, sure she'd find something in one of them to cover up her terrible lack of skill.

Sky was spending more time in the art room. She told herself and anyone that asked that it was because she had fewer classes now she was in her sixth year. And as arts club leader it made sense that she was in the room. but she knew part of her was hoping to see a certain Slytherin. decide to come in and play for a bit. it had been a while since she had felt like this and she didnt want to get her hopes up that her crush on Ngawaiata would lead to anyhitng. her last two crushes hadnt exactly returned her feelings. she was in the club room making christmas decorations with some of the paper left from the club meeting when she saw a younger girl knitting. she was just finishing one of her heart baskets wen the girl got up and started looking for somethng. "Can i help you find something?" she asked. there were a lot of supplies in the cupboards and she had a fair idea of where the best place to look for things was even if she didnt know exactly where every thign was.

Wish wasn't really a people person. She was barely a person person, when she really considered it. And yet there was a person approaching her, which shouldn't be surprising because many other people lived in the castle and sometimes even interacted with each other - and yet she couldn't help a small squeak of alarm when an older girl spoke to her. "Um, do you know if there are tiny pompoms anywhere? Or uh, embroidery stuff?" Wish hadn't made up her mind about what exactly she wanted yet, so being put on the spot was highly intimidating and she hadn't even considered that there might be a wrong answer here. Which was now dawning on her as she wrung her tiny jumper between her fingers anxiously.

shen the girl jumped sky stopped. She didnt mean to scare the girl. She didn't think she was able to scare people. at least not in such an obvious manner. But maybe just by virtue of being a sixth-year and club leader was scary. when the girl asked if she knew where there were pompoms or embroidery threads she thought for a second. there were so many different craft things that were stored in a somewhat ordered way. "i think the pompoms are in the general craft cupboard just over there" she said pointing one of the cupboards on the wall behind the girl. "and the embroidery things should be out with the rest of the sewing stuff. i will go and have a look for you" she said stepping out of that room and into one of the other rooms. She didn't really do much in the sewing room past the very basic alteration of clothes but after a couple of draws she found the embroidery thread and needles and headed back into the main room with them. "any luck" she asked as she set the tray down curious about what the girl was making.

Wish had a mission now and she wasn't going to fail it and look completely helpless in front of the older student. She knew what a pompom looked like. She knew how to navigate a cupboard. The entirely self-imposed timer of needing to find the pompoms before the other girl came back made her hands shaky as she searched through the cupboard until she found what she was looking for. Most were far too big, but she found a few smaller pompoms and brought them back over to where she'd left the jumper. She squeaked her thanks to the older girl as she returned with the thread. Wish gestured to the supplies she'd found triumphantly and scanned the threads. "Hm. Do you, um, think this would look better with brighter colours or more natural?" she asked, holding up the jumper for inspection. It was a neutral brown and could really go either way. Wish just wasn't sure if she should go the route of blending in, or standing out.
