Aurora knew a lot of things. And one of those things was that if there was going to be a secret entrance to Wonderland it would be in the forest. She had left Nico behind this time- he was a little bit of a party pooper sometimes and she recalled perfectly his aversion to coming here in the first place. She had her bag all packed- just a change of clothes, water, and some snacks. Her wand was in her hand, though despite all of her best efforts she hadn't managed to get the white rabbit that she'd chased and lost when she'd bought her wand. But she wasn't going to give up hope, it would be back! She just knew it. For now, she was strolling along the edge of the forest, peeking in, looking for promising paths.

The first semester of the first year was almost over and Eris' disdain about being locked down in the dungeons had calmed down, but only by a little. She still felt like it'd been a rude thing for the hat to do and no matter how well she might fit there the fact still stood; there was no wind in the dungeons. That was the reason the first year was more often than not outside or in the towers by windows, chasing the wind and listening to its whispers. The hat had told her to be mindful of her curfew, so far she'd mostly been able to do that, but the hat had never told her to stay out of the forest which was exactly where the wind had led her today. After all it wasn't exactly her fault it was blowing straight in towards the entrance of the forest.

Eris was contemplating going in when she spotted another first year, judging by her height at the very least, peeking her head in and out the tree line. Walking a little closer the Slytherin was sort of curious what the girl was looking for because to her it looked like she was looking for something in the forest. "Considering going in?" She asked once she got closer, not wanting to be a creep and stalk around the girl quietly.

Aurora looked up when she heard a voice, her smile instant and bright. "No. We are." She reached out, snatching her new friends hand and pulling her along after her as they plunged into the trees. Aurora shivered as the temperature immediately dipped. "We're looking for a white rabbit," She stage whispered to the girl behind her, flashing another grin over her shoulder. "It's sure to lead us to an adventure!"

Eris didn't have any time to voice her questions about we are, when the girl grabbed her hand and pulled her into the forest. Her eyes were a little wide with surprise but she wasn't going to act like she minded it, she'd been meaning to go in on her own to follow the wind just before. "Oh," was all she could muster up at first, still trying to wrap her head around what the girl had just said. Something about her mannerisms and the way she'd just grabbed her hand and pulled her into the forest called to the Slytherin. So instead of questioning the motives she jumped at the notion of adventure. "What sort of adventure?" She questioned with a smile as she followed in the girl's steps.

Aurora perked up, loving how willing her new friend was to follow her. "A mad one!" She replied, taking away her hand so she could jump up onto a big log. She turned, offering out her hand again with a wide smile. "There are only two ways to find what we're looking for. Either we need a white rabbit, or we need to get lost!" She declared, sure of their path.

Eris raised a questioning brow at the fact that this girl wanted to go on a mad adventure. It didn't sound safe nor rational but she'd never been that outside of archery. Sometimes it was good to wander beyond the normal, be it by following a white rabbit or the wind. Taking the girls hand she got up on the log with her and scanned her surroundings. "I suppose we best get looking for the rabbit or getting lost then?" The first year said, turning to look at the girl with a conspiring smile. It was really sort of exciting too. "We could also follow the wind, that's what I do when I want to go on an adventure or well I follow it generally and the whispers within." At this point if the girl decided to make fun out of this then so be it, Eris was here looking for a white rabbit with her for Merlins sake, if anyone would get her fixation with the wind she figured it'd be someone also looking for something particular.

Aurora looked about the forest, unsure where to really start now that they were here. Hm... perhaps that way? She looked to her companion with a returning grin, when suddenly she offered the best idea Aurora had ever heard. She was quiet for a brief moment before her heart restarted, leaping into her throat. and she let out a happy squeal, snatching both of the girls hands in her own. "That is the best idea I have ever heard!"

Aurora bounced a few times before spinning, eyes searching the trees. "Follow the wind, follow the wind..." She murmured, before feeling a hint of a breeze. "The wind!" She giggled, jumping off the log and starting in the wrong direction. "Let's go!"

Eris stared at the other girl as she went quiet and then let out a squeal, snatching Eris' hands in her own. She couldn't help but smile a bit more, the girls energy rubbing off on her. As the girl began going the opposite direction to where the wind had blown gently the Slytherin shook her head slightly. "No, the wind is going this way." She said with a small laugh, this time being the one to take the girls hand in her own and pulling her in the correct direction. "No rabbits yet but we'll follow the wind and see where that takes us?" She suggested glancing over her shoulder as she walked the way the wind was taking her. Just then Eris felt a stronger gust, as if urging them towards the direction they'd already started on, giving Eris' step more urgency and confidence.
