Eris had been dragged to New Zealand yet again, the closer it came to her to go to Hogwarts the more aunt Sofia seemed possessed with the idea to drag her out here. In all honesty Eris didn't see the point in it when there were already so many of the kids that it was far too easy for her to slip away. For all aunt Sofia knew she could be doing petty crimes, she wasn't, but she could have. They were at some little town or village, the brunette was not entirely too sure how to classify the place, and while Sofia was busy with the twins and younger girls Eris had slipped away towards a field. She had her phone in case anyone needed to reach her, though aunt Sofia despised the devices and would much rather pretend to not have one.

There was a soft wind blowing around Eris as she walked on the field, if she was being honest windy days were her favourite. She'd die on the hill that wind was just echoing whispers carrying on from somewhere beyond, if you listened close enough you might even make out what they were trying to tell you. She always listened closely when a gust of wind flew by, but mostly she loved the feel of it in her hair. Only when it was semi gentle though, when it was borderline abusing it wasn't too nice to have it play around with your hair. "Not too long anymore and I'll be somewhat free of aunt Sofia." She mumbled to herself as she continued to walk. For someone with so many kids the woman seemed to hate them, except for baby Helios who was the definition of perfection apparently.

Spending time off over in 'the magical community' was, from Laura's experience, just a matter of her aunt dumping her in middle of nowhere places while she did some work. Laura didn't see how it was helping her acclimatise at all, but she wasn't about to argue and make things more difficult for everyone around her. But all she was doing was kicking the football around, which was stubbornly not doing anything magical. She'd picked out four trees to act as goal posts, and was lining herself up for a banana kick from the side of the rightmost tree.

"Carlton's number one draft pick up now for a very difficult kick...game's riding on it, will she be able to nail it and give Carlton the win over Collingwood?"
she narrated in a mutter to herself, taking a couple of steps forward and making the drop punt. "And she's done it, that's why she's the leading goalkicker of the year and Carlton's best and fairest! The crowd goes wiiiiild!" she made a noise like a cheering crowd, but dropped out of her acting as she saw the ball carry towards another girl walking around. "Oh, look out, sorry!" she called, knowing the worst it would do is lightly bump against her ankle but that could still be at least annoying.

There was some noise somewhere, someone talking and the cheering but before Eris had the time to turn around and see who it was she heard someone call out to watch out and the an apology. Confused Eris turned just in time as a ball bumped into her ankles. Dropping her gaze to the ground she stared at the ball for a second, she wasn't much of a ball game enthusiast but she'd give it a go she supposed. Giving it a kick towards the girl she watched it go completely off course, towards the tree line edging the field.

"I'm sorry, I'm not much of a ball player it seems." She called out to the girl with a apologetic smile, walking after the ball to fetch it for her. Least she could do was go and get it since she'd been the one to kick it here. Once she got it in her arms she made her way toward its owner, deciding not to kick anything in case it decided to who knows fly all the way to the village close by and bump her aunts head, though maybe that was wishful thinking. "Here," She said extending it to the girl.

Laura really hoped the other girl didn't hear her acting. It had been mostly under her breath, but it was still kind of awkward. One of those things that got odd looks when unexpected. She liked doing impressions and playing around, she was still a kid after all. And an only child at that. Developing an imagination had been kind of necessary. She gave her an apologetic look as the other girl handed back the football. Clearly she wasn't much for sports, and certainly not from Australia either as she might have handballed it if she was.

"Oh, no, it's okay, it's Aussie rules anyway so it's not exactly, like, a thing around here," Laura explained, waving it off and hoping she wasn't making the other girl feel awkward. "I'm just killing time waiting for my aunt, thought I'd get some kicking practice in, cause there's not a whole lot to do." Laura belatedly realised that perhaps the girl was local, even though the accent didn't exactly sound kiwi, and she'd possibly offended her. "Oh, uh, I mean I'm sure there's plenty to do, I just don't live here myself."

Eris watched curiously as the other girl went on about everything. "yeah I wouldn't get it even if it was he similar stuff they did around here probably." She said leaving out that she wasn't from even this side of the world at all. Tilting her head slightly she shook her head. "No I absolutely agree, there's nothing to do here. My aunt drags me over here to get used to the I don't even know what at this point, I think it's just an excuse to travel somewhere fun for her at this point." Eris finally said looking around. She was running out of things to do other than archery and no matter how much she loved it her hands needed a break every now and then.

"I'm from Greece, but lived a bit around Europe and The States so not from here either." Eris admitted returning her gaze to the girl. "You from Australia then? or just like playing in the Aussie style?" She was simply going off the fact that the girl had said previously that she was using Aussie rules. "I don't really do sports other than archery but my uncle is a huge sports fan," that was putting it lightly too.
