Brian walked out to the Quidditch Pitch, having sent Professor Ana another letter asking for another lesson. it was the begining of November and Winter was setting in, Brian shivered a bit even though he made sure to wear warmer protective gear then he had the last time he was outside. He felt alot more confident in his flying capabilities since he'd been practicing, he even wondered if perhaps he might be ready to try and beg his parents for a faster Broomstick, though he wasn't sure that would be any good since his parents were muggles and wouldn't understand the differences in Brooms.

Hopping onto his broom and taking a few laps around the pitch he waited for Professor Ana to arrive.
 
Professor Kiara Ana had her broom under her arm and she was carrying her chest of quidditch supplies. Professor Kiara Ana walked across the pitch looking around for Brian. She looked up to see him doing a few laps. SHe watched for a little before she put down the chest.

She then sat on top of the chest watching him fly about. She didn't want to bother him at the moment. She would wait for him to either notice her or finish with the laps.
 
As Brian flew his third lap around the pitch he saw Professor Ana walking towards the center, He flew Down to meet her, wondering what she might have in mind today, He felt he'd done pretty good on the last Flying lesson and wanted to improve his skills even more so before the following year.

"Good Morning Professor Ana" Brian said with a low Bow as he got off his Firebolt but holding it in his hand so that the tip was in the air as he bowed.
 
"Good Morning Brian" She said smiling back at him. "You're getting much better at flying in general" Professor Kiara Ana said referring to his past lessons and his few laps in the air. "So last time we did a few catches of a snitch" She said "But the snitch was blue I believe" she said thinking She knew it was the real snitch yet the speed was the same.

"I was thinking we would warm up a bit with trying to catch that same snitch and then we can start with something new. Does that sound good to you" She asked
 
"that sounds great" Brian said smiling he wondered if he really was getting better at catching real snitches and if it would be possible to get one that wasn't blue.
 
"ok then" Professor Kiara Ana said as she leaned over and dug into the chest. She had the chest barely open due to the fact that it was full of quite a few different snitches and other supplies trying to get out. "Mount your broom I am going to release it now. Once the snitch is out of sight You can go. " She explained. She grabbed the snitch and stood up. She held it in her hand "Ok now go" She said as she released the snitch. The snitch hovered a while as it was tempted them both.

Then without another word the snitch flew up into the air and flew out of sight. Professor Kiara Ana waited for Brain to take off wondering if he would be faster than last time. Either way he would do good. She knew he would.
 
Brian mounted his broomstick and took off into the aironce the snitch was out of site. He wanted to catch the blue snitch alot faster than he had last time, though wasn't quite sure how he was going to manage to do this, the air was crisp and the sky dark grey making it harder to see the small ball, He squinted looking around very hard for any sign of movement. After what seemed like a futile effort he began to fly around the pitch looking hard for the blue snitch.

Finally after five minutes of scrutinizing the field continously he saw the ball moving towards the Northern East Side of the Pitch, Brain pushed down on his broom and zoomed after the Snitch. He was going to get it this time faster than the last time, he was sure of it.
 
Professor Kiara Ana watched Brian go into the air. She had faith in him. She could see already that he was much more relaxed on the broom. He was moving faster than last practice. She watched him eye up the snitch within five minutes. As Brian zoomed after the snitch Professor Kiara Ana watched standing on her tippy toes. She wanted so much for him to do well because he wanted to do well.

She watched not taking her eye off him as if she was at a real quidditch match when she was a young girl.
 
The Snitch was on the move, doing everything to stay right behind the Snitch while gaining in distance. The Snitch flew upwards but Brian was ready for it to do something like that and was already pulling up on his broomstick gaining more ground. One good thing about flying in the winter there was no sun to blind him, this made chasing after the snitch alot more easier. hand out stretched he was getting closer and closer to it.

He opened out his hand and with a few more burst of speeds felt the ball in the palm of his hand. He clasp the snitch and flew higher in celebrations! he flew back downwards towards Professor Ana smiling as the snitch struggled to get free and back into the air, He'd caught the blue Snitch in 11 minutes, this was quite a feat in his personal opinion.
 
Professor Kiara Ana still never took her eyes off Brian or the snitch. How she wished she could be up there but watching Brian was almost as good as her doing the real thing. Professor Ana watched him get closer and closer Come on your almost there She thought to herself knowing that it was not helping but it was not hurting either.

Soon he grabbed the snitch. A wide smile spread across Professor Kiara Ana's face as she predicted had also appeared on Brian's. "11 minutes" She said looking down at her watch. She waited for Brian to come down back onto the ground "Wonderful" was all she managed to say at first. "11 minutes" She said just in case he wasn't certain the time.

"Why don't you sit down for a bit" She said not wanting Brian to get tired "So that we can begin again soon just a little break" She said reassuring that they would continue. "So how did it feel?" She asked wondering his reaction to a great accomplishment.
 
Brian got off his broom as he handed the snitch to Professor Ana, he pulled out a water bottle from the small bag he'd brought with him. Sitting down he took a large gulp from the the bottle, catching the snitch had taken a bit out of him and he knew very well that even in the winter one could still get Dehydrated.

"It felt wonderful Professor!" Brian said smiling he was quite amazed that he'd been able to catch the snitch alot faster than he had last time. "though I think I can get better at it; quicker" Brian said taking another gulp of water.
 
Professor Kiara Ana waited for Brian to take a sip of water. "it will feel even better when you are in a real game and you catching the snitch could mean the winning and the losing" Professor Kiara Ana explained "It is so intense and wonderful all at the same time" Professor Kiara Ana said

She let Brian break for a little bit "ok now" She said "Are you ready for a real snitch" she said reaching into the chest and fishing out a real golden snitch "This one will be harder to see but I think you will do just fine" She said She waited a while "Or do you want to call it a day" She said doubting that Brian would want to stop.
 
"No way!" Brian said getting onto his feet with his broomstick "I'm ready for the real thing this time" Brian said excitedly. It was true he didn't know when it would be nice enough to practice again and wanted to get in as much as he could before the hollidays took over and he didn't have the time to do this.

He also wanted to test all that he'd learned against the real live Golden Snitch, he knew alot about the small ball from all the books he'd read about it, even knew the origins. He felt sure that after studying the Flight Patterns of the Golden Snidget he would know where the Snitch was most likely to end up.

Mounting his Broomstick with a feirce determination Brian said "I'm ready when you are Professor!"
 
Professor Kiara Ana smiled at Brian's determination "Ok then" She said looking at the snitch in her hand. She let it go. This time this snitch did not hover around it shot off into the air instantly. Soon it was out of sight "Go" She said smiling skipping the ready and set part of the usual ready set and go.

Professor Kiara Ana looked up trying to find the snitch herself it was so much harder to find it on the ground but it was just as hard to find it in the air.
 
Brian took off into the sky, he flew high over the feild that Professor Ana looked like a small dot on the ground. Brian began scanning the field once more looking for a bit of gold in the dark daylight. It was difficult to see it with the clouds blocking the sunlight but Brian figured it would help him find it faster in the spring time.

Flying towards the Middle of the Field Brian searched for the small ball not sure if all of his studying would actually pay off this time.
 
Professor Kiara Ana watched as Brian flew up quite high. She was still looking around for the snitch not that she would be any help if she did see it anyway. She was so used to seeing the colorful snitches used in her class that the real one was harder to see. She wondered how Brian was making out. She knew he would find it.

She just wondered how long it would take him "not too long" She said quietly to herself in a whisper. She knew that he couldn't hear her from way up there but she still found it polite to whisper. She watched hoping that soon Brian would at least catch sight of the snitch.
 
Brian continued to search getting a bit anxious he'd been up here searching for over eight minutes and still hadn't scene the Snitch. He wondered how long it would take to find it up here in the sky, Suddenyl he saw a bit of movement ten feet below him and twenty feet away to the left. It was so tiny and so far away Brian wasn't sure if he'd be able to catch it before it vanished again.

Flying as fast as he could he zoomed after the snitch making sure to keep his eyes on the Snitch doing everything in his power not to loose sight of it after spending so much time searching for it. As Brian got closer and closer towards the snitch, it flew quickly downwards towards the feild.
 
Eight minutes had passed and it did not seem like Brian had seen the snitch. Professor Kiara Ana was still looking as well but she saw no sign. Then all of a sudden Brian flew straight towards something. Professor Kiara Ana could not see it yet. She thought that maybe Brian had spotted the snitch.

She watched as she come closer and closer to the field. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw it. The snitch was right there now all Brian had to do was keep an eye on and and catch it. She had faith and if he missed it was fine he was still doing great on timing now that the snitch was in view.
 
The Snitch was close as Brian flew faster and faster, trying everything in his power to keep on the Snitch as it zigged and zagged all over the place, He was sure that studing Snidget Flight Patterns was indeed the only thing that had kept him from loosing sight of the Snitch as it was acting pretty much like a bird trying not to get caught by a hunter.

The Snitch flew into the stands causing Brian to stop the imediant chase with the Snitch. staring hard at the stands Brian looked for the Snitch hoping that the Snitch didn't sneak out of the stands without him noticing. Brian continusouly looked into the stands harder trying to find it.
 
"You have it" Professor Kiara Ana whispered to herself watching Brian get closer and closer and go faster and faster "Keep it up" She whispered again. This snitch like all others was trickly. She saw it zig and zag and zoom all over. It was really giving Brian a fight.

Then without notice the snitch flew into the stands. Brian stopped yet never took his eye off of it as far as Professor Kiara Ana could see. She wondered what the snitches plan was. Yes she believed that it had a plan how else could it be so tricky to catch. She waited watching the stands wondering where and when the snitch would come out off its new hiding place.
 
From the lower part of the stands on the left side the Snitch zoomed away. Brian flew as quickly as he could trying to catch the Snitch before it had a chance to escape his sight again. Chasing after the Snitch once more with more vigor he flew faster than ever trying to gain the distance he'd lost back.

The snitch was soo close he could feel it as he gained on it more and more, he was only a few feet away as it began to fly upwards. Brian pulled onto his broom flying towards the sky after the Snitch. He began to lean a few inches to the right hoping that all his studying would pay off. He was less than twelve inches away from it now.
 
Without notice Professor Kiara Ana saw the snitch fly away and out of the stands. She watched intently as Brian flew after it with good speed. He had lost a bit of distance but not an imense amount. The snitch wasn't ready to be caught yet it was putting up quite a fight.

The snitch fly straight up into the air and Brian followed. Professor Ana watched hoping he would get it. She was getting more excited each centimeter he got closer to it. When he was so close about ten inches away she held her breathe. "He's going to get it" She said in a whisper.
 
Brian flew alongside the Snitch now only five inches away, He quickly reached out his hand and grabbed the Snitch. Leaning forwards he flew towards the ground next to Professor Ana, It had been a great moment since he'd actually caught a real Snitch. This was a moment Brian had been waiting for; actual proof that he'd been improving not just a little but alot. He landed and then held out his hand so that Professor Ana could take the Snitch.
 
Professor Kiara Ana watched a Brian actually caught the snitch. She couldn't help nor stop smiling "Wonderful job" she said to him once Brian was on the ground. When Brian held out his hand to hand her back the snitch She shook her head. "you keep it you deserved it." She said "Your first snitch caught" she continued.

"I think that is it for today though" she said not really wanting the practice to be over but also not wanting to overwork Brian. "You did really good though Really improved" She said
 
Brian was a bit dissapointed to see the lesson end but was very excited to be allowed to keep the Snitch, this actually made sense though. This Snitch was no good since it would see him as it's owner since he was the first one to catch it.
"Thank you Professor I'll see you later then after the Exams at least" Brian said smiling as he left the pitch the Golden Snitch in his hand.
