Old School Week Floating

It was a warm summers day. Most of the kids were at home, and the school was quiet. He had come outside and gotten into the lake, just floating, and swimming, enjoying the refreshing water as a break from the hot stuffy air.

 

[Salem Lee]

Salem was enjoying some sun after being cooped up in the castle again, kicking her legs in the water and mindless of who she might be splashing.

 

[Seamus Reid]

"Hey, watch it," he said as someone splashed him.

 

[Salem Lee]

"Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there," Salem said, slowing her kicking. "The water's nice, though I think I prefer the ocean, don't you?"

 

[Seamus Reid]

Seamus rolled his eyes. "Ocean's nice, but I'll take what I can get,"

 

[Salem Lee]

Salem hummed in agreement, peering at where the boy was in the water. "I've heard there might be eels in there. Or something bigger."

 

[Seamus Reid]

"I'm sure there are," he agreed, though he was unconcerned by it.

 

[Salem Lee]

"Have you ever eaten eel? I have, it's pretty tasty," Salem said, kicking her feet more gently in the water this time.

 

[Seamus Reid]

Seamus scrunched his face. "What was it like?" since he hadn't eaten it and couldn't think of much worse.
