Clemence Pelletier stood above her bed, looking down with her brow pushed together and her lips pursed. If there had ever been a more concentrated girl it would be surprising but what was even more surprising was that she was pondering about what to wear! As surprising, and slightly disturbing, that might be, the Prefect had a strange realization she had absolutely nothing to wear, not when she wanted to look nice. Her clothes were all leotards, more work out clothes or pairs of jeans and other various items that Clemence feared would make her look more plain then she already was.

Why the sixteen year old was spending so much time on her outfit was because of Alexius Strauss. The formation of a crush was in place and today they had decided to spend time with one another after their classes. She had used the excuse of English lessons but honestly just wished to spend more time with him and now she found herself wanting to blow it off because she did not have anything to wear.

Under her soft blue gaze was two pair of jeans laying beside one another, both hugged her slim figure nicely and one lead up to a red and white tank with a hoodie while the one next to it had a non-descript, white v-neck with a leather jacket. Clemence looked up from the subject of concentration to see the time and she sighed, there was no way she could go to her sister's dorm room and get something nicer now, so she opted with the outfit she thought looked the tiniest bit better.

Slipping on the v-neck, she pulled her blonde hair out of it's rubber band cage. The blonde locks rested nicely on her shoulders in small tendrils as they always did. After putting on her jeans and her favorite pair of heals that actually had not been forced onto her, she put light make up on. With another glance at the time, she grabbed her jacket and wand and rushed out the door to go down to the Entrance Hall to meet him so they could walk down together.

As she walked down, Clemence could not help but notice the strange amount of glances that she had received. It was actually more then one! Actually it was five. How strange, Clemence thought before thoughts of the up coming evening came her way.

OOC: I blame Pat for The Little Mermaid-ness.

Alexius had spent a fair bit of time chasing girls in his day and had never once tried to take things slow with any of them. For starters none had wanted too and none had ever made him want to give preferential treatment to before either. With Clemence it was different and her seriously thought he had some inkling in what his brother was always going on and on about with Zoe-Hope. But still he thought the girl who haunted most of his thoughts now was way more special than even her.

Lounging by the stair well in the entrance hall he knew from this vantage point he would see her before she saw him. A few others lingered about the hall and he noticed them all looking in a particular direction, so naturally his own gaze went the same way. With any other girl he would have flirted outrageously with, wolf whistled and cat called until she either tried to hex him or flirted back. This particular girl deserved better than that and he found himself smiling as he watched her approach. Moving slowly out into her view with one hand shoved into a pocket of his jeans while the other hand was now scratching the back of his head, as he looked at her; Alex found all he wanted to do was gather her too him. These feelings of protectiveness always abounded when she was near and though once before he may have scoffed at them and dismissed them heartily, this time he didn't. With her he didn't, he liked how he felt around her, liked it alot. He wore a ti-shirt and jumper with the school crest over his jeans, the faded blue making his tanned skin and hazel eyes practically jump out to greet. He was well aware of his own good looks and had used them to his advantage time and again but Clemence didn't care for those kind of things, another reason he liked her, alot.

"Bonjour mon petit" he winked at her, offering her his hand, "you're looking amazing as usual" he spoke truthfully.

Clemence smiled as she spotted Alexius and as she approached him she both blushed and grinned girlishly. “Bonjour ma chérie,” she said softly as she took his hand, slinking her fingers between his. A rush of… well something went sped through her body as she looked up to Alexius’ hazel eyes. All of a sudden she wanted to do nothing but wrap her arms around him and stay with him forever, despite the knowledge that it was very much impossible to do so. “Thank you Alexius,” she said, enjoying the sound of his name, it was much better then calling him by his surname all the time, but that had been when she disliked his company and now she was the exact opposite. With everyday Clemence wanted to spend more time with Alexius and it was so much easier then it had been with Sebastian, who, despite her friend Grande, had been her only contact for a little while.

“You’re looking quite dashing yourself,” Clemence said as she flicked her pale blue eyes to his lips then back to his eyes. She never really noticed if he looked “dashing” but she knew that if she had, Alexius would anyway. All that really mattered to her was what he was like personality wise but it did not hurt that he had the most astounding set of eyes, they were like the purest form of granite under green water and she simply adored them.

It did not take a genius to see that the pair were so very infatuated with one another but still Clemence was afraid to let him know what she thought. Expressing her feelings had never been an easy task; being raised in a family that were formal did not exactly help with anything, not that she did not love her family, she just was afraid to be hurt. For now, Clemence was stuck with spending time with Alexius and feeling all these strange and new things without airing them to him and she was fine with that.

Nearly forgetting herself, Clemence blushed and looked towards the grandiose wooden door and asked tenderly, “Would you like to go outside?” Where they were did not particularly matter to the naive sixteen-year-old but they had spoken about going outside at breakfast and she was sure if they stood like that any longer, she would wrap her arms around him in the embrace she wanted.

He liked that she took his hand straight away, sometimes she didn't bother only to take it herself when she felt like it. So standing here with all these others watching them Alexius felt a surge of relief in that one action of hers. He chuckled at her own words, blushing a little and turning to walk with her where ever she basically wanted to go.

"Dashing my eye, this old thing" he laughed again, having heard girls say that line a gazillion times over. He liked how his fingers laced with hers and nodded his head at her suggestion.
"I think outside on a day like today is perfect, come on" they strolled to the door and he opened it out for her. The sun dazzling them as they first stepped out into it. Clemence seemed tiny compared to him so moving down to the next step before she did, gave them the appearance of being of similar height. He smiled at her and unable to help himself leaned forward and kissed her ever so lightly on her cheek. Looking abashed at his actions he shoved his other hand into his pocket and turned around to face the lawn ahead.

"Nice day isn't it?" he grinned sheepishly glancing at her from the side.

feel free to godmod them moving along ;)

Clemence grinned merrily as Alexius laughed as he teased her comment. It did not bother her one bit that he was teasing her words, namely because she didn’t actually notice if he was “dashing” or not. And as they walked out the door together she blinked her eyes a few times to adjust her pale blue orbs to the sun as it danced across their features. The kiss on her cheek brought her to blush and smile dotingly. She looked over to him and smiled tenderly, certain now more then ever, that they were at the start of something wonderful.

“It is a wonderful day,” Clemence answered softly, as if she even needed to. There was absolutely no chance of rain clouds peaking forward and the sun was still high and shinning over the grounds they walked through aimlessly. “How was class today, Alexius?” she asked, genuinely curious on how his day had went because hers had felt all too long as she waited for class to finish so she could be able to spend time with him. Clemence was not going to admit that but she still felt it and as she glanced over to Alexius a smile strode it’s way onto her lips and told him what she had felt anyway.

As they walked down and had somehow ended up by the lake front, Clemence and Alexius spoke of their days in greater detail and trailing off in silence, Clemence looked at the lake front and smiled. The lake was still frozen over but with the sun shinning over it it looked all too inviting, well for skating and she smiled, letting free Alexius' hand before kissing his cheek. Clemence knew that it was still far too cold out for the ice to crack under her footing, well as long as she treaded lightly and did not stomp her feet or jump up and down on it, besides she was sure the Professors put a charm on it so children didn't do that so they could avoid deaths.

Watching her feet, Clemence walked slowly forward then turned at her heels towards Alexius and asked, "Are you going to come with me?" She was not sure what she was really doing on the ice but she knew that if Alexius asked her to come back with him she would because she really wanted to be able to stay close with him.

OOC: I love that Clemence is as strange as she is and I also love Alexius and Clemence together! Squee worthy.

He groaned but smiled as he did so, his free hand running through his hair as he rolled his eyes a little.
"We were learning how to cast a patronus" he grimaced remembering how badly he did, also recalling the professors words that his chosen memory was obviously not a good enough one to conjure or maintain the shape of his patronus, "needless to say that Max produced his by the end of class... he apparantly had the perfect memory. I guess I have to make some more before I can conjure my patronus".
He wondered if he used any of those he had made with Clemence if they'd work. He had only used one of him and his brother, thinking more their bond would be big enough to seal the deal but it hadn't. He needed a happy one but he had very few true happy moments in his life.
They continued walking and he listened to her in turn as they spoke about the rest of their days and Alexius knew without a doubt that when he did try again, he would definitely use one with her in it.

They arrived at the lake and he watched her walk across the ice. He didn't like it, as much as a daredevil as he was watching Clemence take risks was something he wasn't prepared for and though he knew that probably sounded very chauvinistic he didn't mean for it too. She was a really good witch though so he was prepared to trust her on this one and carefully he walked out onto the ice to be closer to her again.
"If this cracks beneath us, you can rescue me this time" he chuckled slipping slightly before he finally reached her.

Clemence flicked his watered-down blue orbs to see Alexius, her eye lashes gently fluttering as a coy smile peaked onto her thin lips. As he stood before her, she took a tentative step closer to him, making their chests touch so comfortably close. With her slender hands gently hanging over his shoulders, Clemence said with faux, male chauvinism as she feigned a more masculine sound to her voice, "I'll keep you safe." She smiled before nuzzling Alexius as she rested her head ever so gently adjacent to his neck.

In awe of her own emotions, Clemence let the lids of her eyes slide shut and her arms move gently down his chest and around his midriff. She had come to adore Alexius Strauss over the past three months and now all she wanted to do was to keep close to him, with the knowledge that February would bring March and faster then she could blink, June would arrive and he would be graduating from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. For purely selfish reasons, she wanted him to stay behind, to fail one course that he needs for his NEWTs so she was not alone. Now that she had a taste of company - and company that she enjoyed - she hated the thought it would be taken from her; that he would be taken from her.

He groaned inwardly as she came closer to him, much closer than she had ever willingly gone before. Alexius felt speechless, powerless in her presence. Her arms wrapped about his waist and it took all his self control to not just squeeze her too him. Mold her into him so he would be marked with her and by her forever. Her words took the edge from the moment and he was grateful as a bubble of laughter rose in his chest and he let it burst out, wrapping his eager arms about her then. She was beautiful, the back drop of all the ice and the dazzling blue sky sparsely sprinkled with heavy white clouds seemed idealic to view her in.

The moment possessed him and he hoped she was ready. His face seemed so serious then that he hoped he didn't frighten her away.
"Clemence" her name felt perfect from his lips as his hands reached up and cupped her face, tilting it up to face him. His mouth touched hers briefly, testing to see if she would respond. Hoping she would because he wanted her so very much, had waited patiently and would wait longer if he had too. She was worth it.

Clemence looked up as she heard her name spoken by Alexius and she blushed softly as his hands cupped her cheeks. She knew all too well what was to happen now but at the same time she did not. As their lips touched, she could feel her small body relax even further in their embrace and she briefly wished that she knew what she was doing but a surge of confidence rushed through her body and she gently moved in for another kiss to Alexius’ soft lips, this time her hands no longer around him but resting on his chest gently. With all the tenderness she could offer, Clemence Pelletier kissed Alexius with all that the inexperienced girl had and somehow it all seemed natural to her as head mind spun and her heart rattled excitedly.

Shyly, Clemence peeled her lips slowly from Alexius’ and she let her eyes flutter open in a sudden daze of all her affections for him. She seemed to have forgotten that they were on ice because as she took half of a step back to admire Alexius from a close distance but she slipped and gasped quietly, returning to the close hold of the older boy’s arms to keep herself from falling and to steady herself. For a professional gymnast, Clemence became oddly unsteady around Alexius and she smiled at the thought, it was rather amusing to her but looking back up at Alexius the humor in it somehow drifted away and she asked shyly, “Can I still take that chance?” She was unsure if he would remember the night of the Yule Ball and when he asked her to take a chance on him and now more then ever she wanted to and she wanted him to do the same for her.

So far, Alexius had been the only person able to handle her paranoia rather nicely and her frustration in herself just as amazingly. Clemence just loved everything about him and she could even dare to say a word she had at one time feared, mistrusted and basically disbelieved.

He had hoped she would return the kiss but still her lips so gentle and soft moving with his own felt amazing. She was able to knock him senseless with the slightest of looks and now she could virtually send him to oblivion with the slightest kiss. Her lips on his felt amazing, perfect and so right. Alexius was amazed with everything about her. His hands moved slowly around to the back of her head, fingers tangling with her hair and loving the feel of it between his fingers. Slowly the kiss broke and he moved his hands to grasp her waist. In that brief moment she took a step back from him and slipped. Instantly he had her again and she was clinging to him. His strong arms held her close wanting to keep her there for as long as he possibly dared.

When she spoke he stared down at her dumbfounded. At first he wasn't sure if he had heard her right and then when the sickle finally dropped the smile that crossed his face seemed to transform him.
"Only if you really want too, I'm going nowhere and I'm willing to go as slow and steady as you need me too. Clemence I'm .. " she knew of course had to know how he felt about her, it hadn't changed or if it had, his feelings had only grown.
"I'm crazy about you." Honesty may not always have been the best policy in his life but right now he knew it was warranted.

Clemence’s lips felt as if they belonged to touch Alexius’ and as they parted from one another, she felt like she was missing something from her as her hand made small circles on his back to keep herself from shaking from anxiety as his words were waited on. The smile that formed on Alexius’ lips and managed to touch his bistre hued irises lessened her nerves greatly. Alexius’ words made Clemence smile just as widely as he told her his feelings for her, not that she had not already known. “I really want to,” she said softly as she placed a small hand on his cheek, leaning up to kiss the corner of his soft lips. “I adore you Alexius,” she breathed softly, looking up into his eyes as she spoke the words that were ever so truthful, she really did like him a lot.

Her lips hovering before Alexius’, Clemence felt the gentle touch of snow on her nose and she looked up to see an onslaught of snow flakes about to fall onto them and she looked at him with a small laugh on her lips. “This has the makings of an after school special,” she said with a playful grin on her lips as she remembered the lesson in Muggle Studies about television and her own television that she had begged her mom for the year after because it was all too interesting.

He had been sure of most things all his life, the need to always do better than his twin who surpassed him at everything. The drive to simply do better not just to outdo Max but because it was in him. Along the way he had gotten a name for himself, brash, reckless, a brawler and for some reason many considered him stupid as well. Though he was anything but. He could ace most tests with his eyes closed but more times than not if they didn't stimulate his craving for competitiveness he got bored and left the exam sheets blank. It had been nearly the cause of his being kept back twice already and it had only been sheer luck that the OWL exam had been strigent enough to give him reason to sit it. As sure as he was of most things, he was sure of his feelings for Clemence and when she told him how she felt for him, the raw emotion built up so fast inside that he was sure he would explode from it.

It was raging like an inferno in him, so bad that the pain of not expressing how incredible she had made him feel caused his eyes to prick with tears. He felt utterly stupid for this but in the midst of it all he felt so damn lucky. She cared about him, no other but him. As the snow fluttered about them and she passed a comment he laughed them, scooped her up effortlessly by her slender waist and swung her about. Gently he lowered her and even more gently did he kiss her.
His lips parted after a moment as he stared at her and the white flecks sprinkling her hair. Reaching up he brushed some aside as he gazed into her eyes once more.

"What would my lady like to do now then?" he grinned at her, wanting to simply envelope her in his arms again and keep her there.

Clemence watched Alexius, noticing everything about him and for the first time she noticed pain in his eyes and the beginnings of tears. If a laugh hadn’t tumbled out of his lips faster then she could ask him what was wrong, she would be far more worried then she was. Instead she was just confused. He seemed happy as he embraced her and spun with her as she helped him lift her, although she found he needed no such thing, by wrapping her legs around his waist. A soft giggle came from her pink lips as she was settled down, her feet once more settled on the ground. Her girlish laugh was cut short as her gaze met his before Clemence’s eyelids slowly fluttered over her pale, ice-chip blue eyes and their lips met. Her insides twisted and jolts of electricity fed through her body as the young couple kissed, a hand gentle resting over his heart and in the moment she was dizzied. As their mouths slowly parted, Clemence Pelletier sighed softly, a smile resting on her lips.

"What would my lady like to do now then?" Clemence peeled open her eyes at Alexius Strauss' question. “Mmm, I don’t know,” she said, snuggling in close to him as she kissed his chin softly. Always looking out for number one and staying by herself, these feelings were new and strange to her but she wanted to embrace them; to embrace Alexius and the possibility of falling in love with him. them as a couple. Somehow, she knew that she could trust Alexius with anything and everything, even her secret of her profession. At some point, she would tell him but now she did not want to talk about herself or her strange career choice that would only last until she was twenty years old even though she had given years upon years to prepare for it.

“I should let you know, my sisters will probably badger you with questions when they see you in class next,” Clemence warned him shyly, it was true. Maria and Genevieve were obnoxiously nosy on a good day and they would find out that she and Alexius had spent time with one another even if she did not tell them, which she did not intend to do. Gen had a strange way of collecting information about everyone and anything at Beauxbatons.
