Flirt and Flings

It was a cold day in Northern Germany, the weather was just the way Andrew liked it. He was travelling around a bit in Europe because as an orphan he had never been travelling. He had gone to Scotland to enjoy the sight of his deceased father’s muggle family that now lived miserably. He had a sweet wish to finish them off but he didn’t want to draw attention towards himself by killing three muggles. His spirits were high this week because he had been welcomed by the Death Eaters and his training had started. He was immensely enjoying the advanced learning on the Dark Arts and ways to the path of being a Death Eater. The Dark Mark had been burnt onto his skin and as he trained it grew darker.

He was dressed in black trousers, white shirt and a knee-length, long sleeved black overcoat that hid his mark. He had spiked up his hair and shaved finely and all this added to his good looks. At seven in the evening, Andrew entered a wizarding restaurant and going to the drinks section he ordered himself a firewhiskey and took a seat on one of the cozy sofas in the corner. He watched the people in the restaurant through his cold emerald eyes scanning through each face and rating them in his view until his eye caught a familiar face. He could not mistaken it because he had known Larissa well back at school, she looked the same except that she had grown a bit and become more pretty. He gave her a nod and looked around to see if she had company or was here on her own.

Larissa was on a week's break from school. It was in this time that several things happened; the first was that she had finally joined them. The Death Eaters. It had all been very quiet, but she did plan to tell someone. Alright, she couldn't prove to Adrianne what she was because, like most Death Eaters who were still training, she did not have a dark mark, but somehow she knew that the woman would believe her. And be proud of her. The second of the things that happened was Larissa's seeing someone who she had known back at Hogwarts. The third was what became of that meeting and how her thoughts had dwindled upon Mark in the days after.

She was sat in a restaurant. Why? Because Larissa had been expecting someone, though she doubted he would turn, always being busy with work. Larissa was sat at a table which was obviously waiting for a second person. It was embarrassing to appear stood up and several other witches and wizards were already shooting her sympathetic looks. She didn't need there sympathy, she didn't need anyone. Larissa had been all dressed up in her best clothes, but he was not coming and she could feel the sigh rolling over her. She couldn't just spend the rest of her day sitting here- there were better things to do than further destroy one's already broken heart.

Larissa stood up, patting down her her fitting white shirt and black knee-length skirt. She lifted the glass of water from the table and swallowed the last few drips, before she nodded to a member of staff. She had been about to leave, but she felt one more glance over the sea of faces, was only right. It was a good thing she did look, for that was the moment at which her and Andrew Bruke made eye contact for the first time in years.

What was he doing there? Was he alone, too? Questions began to fill Larissa's head, but she just stood there for a moment, watching him. He was taller than she remembered and he looked strange without his Quidditch robes. But it was a good strange. No, Larissa, not again. The words echoed through her head. They were her own. She had never been able to help it, but she was looking him over, checking him out. She reminded herself that it was wrong to. He probably had a girlfriend and she had Mark.. Sort of. She allowed herself the distraction of approaching him. At first, she couldn't find her voice, but then it eased its way in. "Andrew?" She asked in an unsure fashion, though she knew it was him. "May I?" She asked politely, though she sat down on the sofa with him, anyway, staring at him, her eyes bright blue. "What are you doing here?" And now she sounded pleased to see him.

She would have been more pleased to know what he had been up to, recently. She was always unintentionally drawn to dark wizards.

Andrew noticed immediately that the acquaintance that Larissa had been waiting for seemed to not have shown up. A smirk played on his lips as she rose to her full height, she had become taller in the past year or two. Andrew didn't mind having a good chat with her, it seemed ages ago when they were last playing Qudditch together and it would do him good to have conversation with a fellow Slytherin. "Larissa" he said with a smile as she spoke his name in an unsure manner. "Sure" he said as he watched her sit beside him on the sofa. Her voice sounded pleased, no longer uncertain or unsure of her decision to join him.

"I am travelling through Europe something I intended to do after graduation" he said wondered what she was doing in Germany and who she had been waiting for. "And what about you? You ought to be schooling somewhere?"he asked her as he thought where she was continuing her schooling. She is younger, she couldn't have graduated yet he thought to himself. "And I see you have no company" he commented as he took another sip of his firewhiskey. "Would you like to order something?"he asked politely.

Larissa kept her replies short and sweet. "I go to Durmstrang, now," she answered casually, "only this and next year to go before I'm free as a phoenix." Of course, she could have left after her fifth year, but that would leave her with only the O.W.Ls she had earned and, in her opinion, those grades were scraping the barrel a bit. She would work hard in her seventh year and get the highest marks she could want. Well, high enough to satisfy.

If he had been anyone else, Larissa might have made a rude comment, always getting her back up on subjects such as her current lack of company. Any lack of male company, bothered Larissa, but Andrew was there and things seemed a slight amount better. She had a certain respect for the guy, having looking up to him during her years at school, as a pillar of the community. Larissa smiled, hoping he remembered nothing of the first time they made eye contact. He had never mentioned it and she felt that she was in luck. A member of staff seemed to hear Andrew's particular words. As the wizard approached Larissa, his ears seemed to twitch, locating someone else planning to order. Some may have not noticed this detail, some may have commented. Larissa couldn't care less and a simple roll of her eyes at his eagerness to serve, was all that was required. "Wine." she said flatly, deciding that this was the only suitable drink for her at that point in time. Of course, she did drink firewhisky and she often delved into the wizarding alcohol collection at Schwarz manor.

Larissa turned her eyes back on Andrew, an eyebrow raised a short distance, half-smile on her face. "It feels like it was only yesterday that our lives seemed to depend on winning the Quidditch season." Larissa commented, watching the wizard serving her, bringing over her wine. Larissa took it, thanked him with a smile and a wink and turned back to Andrew, not seeing the man flush red and scuttle off to the next customer. "Oh, how priorities have changed." Her voice gave an airy sigh. A part of her missed those days, a part of her was glad they were gone, alongside her mother and brother. "I take it," she began, easily draining half the glass of wine, "that you have found yourself a woman and settled down?" Maybe he had been lucky enough. Of course he would have been. Somehow, Larissa had not yet convinced Mark to propose, though he had been fine with killing her family. Charming. Then again, it wasn't like Larissa would be ready to settle down for another few years. For now, she just wanted fun.

Andrew was impressed by knowing that Larissa had chosen to school at Durmstrang. It was a fine Institute for Dark Arts and only if Mallory hadn't been there to boss him around he would have made the same wise choice, then, his training would have been much faster and easier. Wine was a fine choice but he wondered if she didn't take alcohol in public since she was still underage. Many young witches and wizards did have alcohol before they turned seventeen illegally especially those who were having a family which was not his case so he had got taste of such drinks when he was fifteen and was hunting his father in Scotland.

Andrew watched the waiter flush as Larissa wink at him. The girl did have a different air about her. He chuckled as she said that their life at a time depended on winning the Qudditch games and the season. It was true, those days were fun when he had no worries about the world but they were unreal, the real world did not require them. "Priorities have changed for the better" he said with a smile as he took another sip of his drink. He grinned on her question and said casually "Not exactly settled, but I am engaged to Adira Ater." He did love her, love her very much but he got bored very often since she was always involved at school and he had to spend two whole years outside all alone announcing he was engaged. "But we don't intend on getting married until after her graduation, two years later and thats a lot of time" he said as he watched her closely. She was very pretty, maybe she had veela blood in her, he couldn't be sure. "Someone beautiful like you must have someone in their life as well?"he asked her.

Larissa had been taking a sip of her drink when a familiar name had been mentioned: Adira Ater. The two girls had become quite close, at one point, and Larissa and Hoshi had accepted Adira into the 'Goth Gang'. It had never been much of a gang, but they had all enjoyed themselves. It was only in their fourth year that things began to change dramatically, and though she left a short way into her fifth year, Larissa had witnessed the sudden presence of the dark arts- they were just small things, little things that were very much self-taugh and Hoshi was the most devoted to the study, but it was all there. And then Larissa had left the school and begun her life in Germany. Now, she too, was hard at work, studying the dark arts as a proper lesson.

"Marriage is better prolonged." Larissa nodded wisely, listening to Andrew speak. He called her beautiful. Larissa couldn't help the slight flutter in her heart, at this, but she managed to hide it quite well. She was always flattered when she was told that was beautiful, but it only egged her on, further. Larissa readjusted her position, slightly. She relaxed a little, watching Andrew with raised eyebrows. This was decision time: Did she tell him about Mark? They weren't actually a couple and she couldn't really explain what he was. If there was one thing about Mark she did know, it was that he was working too much. They had almost been something when she was fifteen, but Mark had told her that they couldn't, that it wasn't right. Well, now she was seventeen. She'd been seventeen for two months and she had not spent more than ten minutes of each summer day with him.

She would never admit it, but Larissa felt unloved. She just wished, just for one day, to feel like somebody wanted her. "No," she said, taking the wine glass to her lips again and gulping down the remaining liquid. "I'm just looking for fun."

Andrew did remember of course that back at Hogwarts, Larissa and Adira had been good friends. All three of them from the goth gang attracted Andrew in different ways maybe because of their dark ways. Most, if not all Slytherins were good enough to be in the league with him and he knew well that the 'Glam Squad' girls and 'Goth Gang' girls were not on friendly terms but he was friends with Isabella and Alyssa Snow. School days were fun in a way, at least his were and he was happy to have allowed himself to enjoy a little before selecting the right course that held little humor and more risk, but the risk was worth the honor.

Knowing that Larissa wasn't one of those girls who believed in getting married as soon as they turned seventeen pleased him. He had seen that it was common that one's relationship and marriage life was unstable when early marriage took place because most of the teens, including himself were always confused about their emotions.

Drinking some more firewhiskey he watched Larissa, over the brim of the glass and smirked as she said she didn't have anyone in her life and was looking for some fun. The first part, he could not believe however he wasn't going to dig as it was rude. "I'm not the most fun person to be with these days, but I guess if persuaded that could change for tonight" he told her with a smirk playing on his face. "What's your idea of fun, Larissa?" he asked wanting to know what amused her or brought enjoyment to this young lady.

Larissa gave Andrew one of those looks. One that plainly showed her interest in him. Yes, he was with one of her old school friends, yes, they were engaged and yes, Larissa had as good as promised herself to Mark, but what was one night in the company of her old Quidditch captain to all of that? It wasn't like this would go further than flirting.. Or would it? "Oh, I'm sure you're a barrel of laughs," Larissa added, half flirtatiously. Larissa broke eye contact for a moment to summon a member of staff over and order another glass of wine. When she returned to looking at Andrew, she was smiling darkly on one side of her face. "What does any young witch like?" She asked in amused manner.

Perhaps her needs were different to those of others. She didn't know. What Larissa did know was that she was up for a challenge. "Fiancée getting you down, hm?" she purred the words with a smile, glancing over to one of the many other men present, watching him for a moment with that look. She was part-veela. It wasn't his fault that he looked back, stared, even. Although, the woman he was with, did not seem best pleased. Larissa turned back to Andrew. "I like playing games." the words rolled off her tongue, dancing through the air in the most fantastic acrobatics display.

Andrew didn't miss Larissa's look of interest in him. If she was interested, he surely wasn't going to be a saint and say no. He was travelling the world to get a taste of everything and he meant everything. She had told him she wasn't involved with anyone, even if she was he didn't mind. "Oh, I try my best to make a lady comfortable and humor her" he said with a wink. She was flirting and so was he, after what seemed like ages. As Larissa summoned the waiter he too decided to place an order for another firewhiskey as this was finished. He played with his glass, circling the brim with his finger as he answered her question. "She likes to be admired, to be given more attention than other witches her age, she likes to be loved and to have power" he said with a smile knowing that his answer was mostly correct. "Then again, not all young witches' brains work in the same way. Some not having any brains" he said with a chuckle.

As their drinks arrived, Andrew thanked the waiter and drank some more. "No man can be bound because he is simply engaged to someone, unless if he wishes to bind himself" he told her with a smirk. "I have no such wish" he added as he watched the man sitting on the other table staring at Larissa. He did not like that, sharing what was with him, at least for the evening. He gave the man a dark stare and then brought himself back to looking at Larissa. He laughed as she stated she liked playing games. "So do I" he said with a grin. "My latest favorite game is based on betrayal" he told her. "What's yours?"he asked her wondering if Larissa was going to agree with what was playing on is mind.

Larissa said nothing more on the subject of games- And she didn't need to, when her eyes were giving it all away. She technically wouldn't be cheating if this were to go further than just an old friendship.. But could she really do that to Adira, to the girl who had briefly helped her through a troubled time? The answer, would follow shortly. For Larissa was not keeping idle chit-chat running free when much more interesting things could be happening. Oh, how she had wished Mark could have been present for her seventeenth, for the day she became an adult witch. But he had been busy. Larissa hated the harsh reality of it all. She had lost out on her fun. Why should she have to give up any more potential fun?

Her great blue eyes were settled upon his, feeding off of the emotion, waiting for the unspoken sign. Was this it? Had Larissa finally secured herself something to do for that night? She hoped so. She needed to know. She was gazing intently, now, watching every slight twitch, so focussed, so alive. Her mind whirred and clicked. She would have to say something, she knew she would. There was a very short space of time between the words appearing, and the words being processed, but long enough that once she had unthinkingly said them, it was too late to take them back. "Shall we go somewhere quieter?"

Andrew waited, starting to lose his patience as he watched Larissa become silent. At first he was under the impression that she was not willing to go along in his plans it made him think he had wasted his time. But as she asked him if they could go somewhere quieter, his heart leaped at the success. Of course he didn't show his excitement because he had mastered well his emotions during the past two years. He just grinned at her and said "We could go to my apartment, its just two blocks away." Now that she had decided to get that straight with him, it would be fun.

Andrew did love Adira but he had the feeling she didn't love him back the same way since she was staying to complete her studies. A little fun wouldn't hurt and she didn't have to know. He was pleased that it was Larissa here with him and not another stranger because he had always had an eye for her and she was pretty than Adira and other girls he met.

Andrew was going along with her words. Larissa wasn't objecting. She had always liked him, so why not go? Larissa nodded with a smile. The way he grinned was practically melting her insides. Again, Larissa had managed to hide this quite well. She was good at hiding secrets, but she was better at torturing people with the threat of spilling the beans. She stood up, tall and proud, showing off her brilliant physical form. She looked straight to Andrew, eyes settling on his. She didn't look at the other men in the room- her interest, for the time being, was now devoted to him.

Her eyes were screaming with the thrill of it, knowing that she was doing something cruel. Not just to her old school friend, but also, perhaps, to the man who had killed for her. Larissa didn't want to think about him. Not right then. "Let's go, then." she said with a smile, offering the young man her hand. She would have her fun. If he wasn't ever turning up to planned dinners and days out, then why should she wait for him, any longer? She'd waited long enough for her seventeenth birthday, and now that she was of age, she wasn't going to waste any more time.

Andrew walked out of the restaurant they had been sitting in and once they were clear of muggle eyes he apparated them straight to his drawing room which was well furnished in a rich and elegant style and had dim lights. He smirked as he watched Larissa's pretty face, it was indeed very pretty. He slid his hand around her waist and pulled her close to him, his eyes gazing into hers as he magically made some light music play in the background. "You must be a veela to be so pretty" he commented as his lips came down to hers and he kissed her passionately, making his kiss long and deep. His right hand at her waist moved to the hem of her skirt while his other hand found its way into her blonde soft hair. As he pulled back to admire her once again he chuckled and asked "So what's your beauty secret, pretty lady?"

Andrew was finding it hard to resist himself but he reminded himself to take it slow, he didn't want to upset her especially because she was Larissa and not just any other girl from the street. He asked her to sit on the couch and wondered if he should offer her a drink but that would waste time and he couldn't wait so long. Unable to keep himself away from her, his lips found hers once again and his tongue explored the depths of her mouth. His hand slipped under her shirt exploring her curves that were very seducing. He made her lie on the couch and as he didn't want to pull back from his kiss just yet he found himself on top of her. His lips moved down her slender neck and back up placing kisses on her radiant skin. He was caught up in the fragrance of her scent and she was too tempting.

She let him lead the way in many senses. They were in a drawing room which seemed almost prepared for them. Music began to play. Larissa knew that she had missed her chance to back out, and if her conscience had suddenly drawn breath, she would have been in trouble. Fortunately, it fell silent, her eye alight at what was to happen. She knew it was headed that way. Though Andrew briefly spoke to her, Larissa could hardly reply, so caught up in the moment that she managed a brief, flirtatious smile and the words "you'll have to find that out for yourself."

Andrew took the lead. She had never kissed him, before. Although, Larissa had kissed a few people for a laugh, so she wasn't completely lost as for what to do. Her veela blood was well and truly shining through, causing her platinum-blonde hair to shimmer even in the dim lights, her blue eyes to become their brightest yet. But these eyes were busy, focussed, watching the first boy she had ever had a crush on. The one who had now become a man. They were both still young and, in a way, both seeing people, but Larissa wanted nothing more at this moment than to show Andrew Bruke what he meant to her. It wasn't love. It was lust, something Larissa was well acquainted with. And Larissa didn't intend to remain still as a log. She was going show what she was capable of.

Andrew heard her reply to his question and smirked as he said "Such a difficult task that shall be." He was seriously believing that she had veela blood in her because as they proceeded with their fun she was looking more appealing to him. He kissed her some more hoping it would turn her own and she would react in return to his kisses. He loosened his tie and threw it down and then unbuttoned his shirt. His hands took her into a tight embrace and his lips crushed hers, a bit fiercely than he had intended. His hands slipped under her shirt once again and his lips made their way down her neck this time reaching her lower neck and her shoulders.

Finding some bare skin around her waist his lips reached down to conquer that area. He could no longer keep himself in control and he didn't want his house worker to spot him this way so he easily lifted Larissa into his arms and took her to the bedroom, his lips still glued to hers. He drew back for a breath once he was in his bedroom and put Larissa on the bed. The sight was beautiful and she looked nothing less than a sleeping beauty except that she was awake and very much alive. He got into the bed and unbuttoned her shirt and before he had finished doing that his lips found hers once again and then they moved down to her chest to explore the new territory that he had just conquered.

Some time later..

What had she honestly expected? Larissa had dressed and found herself back in the drawing room, sat on the couch, staring at one of the walls. She was thinking. Thinking long and hard about everything. She was thinking about Mark. She had anticipated this day, looked forward to it, even, but she hadn't expected it to be quite like that. Of course, that didn't mean she hadn't wanted things to happen as they had, or hadn't enjoyed the experience. Only one thought was of any true comfort to her; Thank Merlin it was Andrew.

She shifted in her seat, her eyes flitting this way and that. Why had she dressed so fast? Why had she almost run out of the door and back to the restaurant to sit and wait? The answer was biting at her neck, gnawing on the back of her head. But he hadn't made time for her, when Andrew had. Andrew. He had always been of some desire, to Larissa, and now they had done this. She didn't know what to think. Time was passing slowly, but Larissa's thoughts were moving fast. She knew she should leave, but she couldn't just walk out. Her eyes were still bright blue and her hair shimmering at the thought of Andrew Bruke. She stood up.

Larissa returned to the entrance of the bedroom, smiling gently down at Andrew. She opened her mouth to speak, but said nothing. Of all the people she had expected this scenario to occur with, Andrew had certainly not been one of them. In her own little world, Larissa was confused beyond belief. But she had made the decisions and there was no reason to regret them. Joining the Death Eaters, though she would have a long wait before she was a fully fledged member, was to be the greatest and most fatal commitment that Larissa had ever made. "I should be getting back.." She managed to say over the inner drum of her heartbeat. She turned half way, her eyes still watching Andrew.

After a while...

Andrew had enjoyed his time but it was very brief, maybe she didn't want it. He had never felt guilty before, not of seducing someone but he hoped that she had been comfortable. He watched as she dressed and walked out and because it was Larissa not just another girl he was concerned hoping she was alright, he put on his jeans just before he watched her come right back to the room. "Are you alright?"he asked, a little concern showed in his voice which was not normal, he was never bothered about people unless he cared about them, like his friends and such and she had even been his house mate and a Qudditch friend.

For him, he wasn't thinking about Adira or about betraying her, she had started slipping from his mind long before today but he wondered if Larissa was upset about betraying someone. She had said she was single, but it could be a lie. As she said she should be getting back he walked towards her wanting her to know that what had happened was fine, she shouldn't feel sad or guilty about it.

He wasn't going to smirk, or give her a flirty smile, all that was over. He was going to talk to her like a good guy. Holding her chin softly as he lifted her chin so he could look into her eyes, he told her with a friendly smile "I hope you don't regret it because there is nothing that can be done." Well, that sounded a little harsh, he tried once again. "If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always call me and I'll be right there" he told her as he gave her a kiss on her cheek hoping she knew that he meant it. Taking her to bed was another thing and this was different, she was his friend and he had to make sure she knew that.

She just couldn't figure it out: Why was Andrew being nice to her? He'd got what he wanted, right, so surely that was it? As confident as she feigned being, Larissa had always had one major downfall- She didn't believe anyone could care about her. But then, so many people had said and done so many good things. Larissa had never really understood love and friendship, and she wouldn't for many years to come. Until then, Larissa would just do the first thing that came to mind.

He kissed her cheek. Larissa turned her blue eyes on him. At first, her true emotion flickered across her face, though it was so fast that it was almost invisible. It was almost sorry. But as she took a light breath, a smile fixed upon her face. "That was my first," Larissa voiced this one thought, not regretting the words passing through her soft lips. She had paused a pause too long. Her eyes were nearly staring into his. Of course she had betrayed her friend, of course she had betrayed Mark, of course she had betrayed many people throughout her life, and she would continue to even when her time finally came. And the worst part was that Larissa Sedgwick had enjoyed this, and she wasn't going to let a little thing like 'conscience' get in the way. "I honestly didn't know you had it in you." The smile changed. This was the Larissa that so many people knew. Not the innocent, caring one that hid miles within.

Larissa couldn't stop herself. Well, if she could, she had no intention of doing so. She reached out a hand, gently stroking the side of Andrew's face. She moved her lips to his, not knowing how he would react, not really caring. It was only a quick kiss, but it was a lot more tender than their previous ones, a lot more, if possible, loving. "Thank you." She said, allowing her hand to gently drop back to her side before she backed off. Deciding to leave Andrew with these words, she turned on her heel and made her way out. There were many things that she could have said or done before leaving, but for once, Larissa had judged the situation correctly. She needed to dig out her old diary and have a think.

After all, she had every intention of contacting Andrew to meet up again..

Andrew watched Larissa, wondering what went on in her mind for she was a mystery had always been. He was patient as he waited for her to speak and when she did he was a little surprised but it didn't cross his face.So that was why she had run out, maybe shy away because she had been a virgin before tonight. No, he didn't feel guilty but he felt happy that she had chosen him to be the first one because it wasn't like she couldn't say no, but she didn't, she had gone along with it, played the game.
He smiled back as he received her smile, he was a little relaxed to see her smile because that meant she was okay.

He watched her kiss him, he didn't make an effort to kiss her back because he wanted it to be all her. He smiled as she thanked him and watched her leave. She was unlike others he met and he was glad about that. He had one of the best nights, the best fun and he wondered if she would every try to meet him again, if she did, she was always welcome.
