First Years Lesson Six

Mallory couldn’t believe that the year had flown by so quickly. She smiled warmly as her students came into the classroom, and once everyone was seated, Mallory stood. “Hello again, my darlings. This is our final lesson of the semester before the exams. Today I would just like you to review what we’ve learned, and come to me if you have any questions about anything. Before we begin, however,” she tucked her hair behind her ear. “I would like to tell you that it has been an absolute pleasure teaching all of you this year. I have seen such remarkable improvements in all of your work. You are all growing into remarkable young witches and wizards.” Mallory smiled and moved back to her desk. “Go on, I’m here if you need anything.” She set about working on some assignments as the students studied or left the room.

Chiro wasn’t all that interested in reviewing for exams he was probbaly just going to blasé through, but he was at least mildly enough interested that he decided to sit through the lesson. He didn’t mind professor Grayveson really, especially when she didn’t make him have to introduce himself in class, which he hadn’t enjoyed doing for every single class they had to take. He appreciated that he didn’t have to do it.

“It’s been a good year Professor!” he called to her, though he knew he probably wasn’t supposed to shout in class, he couldn’t help it, they’d had some good lessons. He knew Angelo would be beside himself because it just wasn’t done back home, but he would take whatever consequences the professor saw fit to bestow on him, since it would have been his fault anyway, but he wanted her to know he’d enjoyed the classes. He was looking forward to what she would teach them next year.
