First Years, Lesson Six

"Hello, everyone! Please, take a seat. Today we will be revising for our exams!" Professor Carter greeted his class with a smile on his face, looking forward to seeing how well each and every one of them would do in the exams. He didn't want his students to be stressing out on it too much and was eager to make them feel comfortable. "Let's start, shall we? When I ask questions you don't need to raise your hand, just stand up and answer." Landon started to pace around the room with his mug of coffee in hand. "Name 3 essential tools for gardening." The Professor didn't choose anyone because they understood immediately what he had ordered them to do. A student jumped up from their chair and answered, "Forks, Trowels, and Spades."

"Very good! 3 points to your house." Landon nodded once and continued, "What are the 2 types of Spades?" Again, a student from the back of the class stood and said, "Digging and bordering." The Professor, yet again, nodded and smiled at his students. "2 points added to your house!" They were getting the hang of it which made him really confident that he taught them well this year. Landon walked back to the front and faced his students. "Next question: What spell did we use to grow a pumpkin half way until it is ripe?" Another student stood up and answered, "Sementis Medicates."

"Add your house another 1 point!" Landon exclaimed and placed his mug on his work table before clapping his hands together. "Now, for the rest of the lesson you may study either here, in the library or wherever you please. Good luck in your exams.” With that, Landon sat down at his desk at the front of the room, keeping an eye on those that decided to study in the classroom.

Assignment: RP the lesson. First three different people to answer the questions get house points!

A revision session, he wasn’t all that surprised to be honest, since this was the last week of classes before the exams. Finley was kind of looking forward to it, because he’d been wanting to see how well he would do. He needed his results for that. He raised his hand when Carter asked about the essential tools for gardening. "Forks, Trowels, and Spades." And soon the class was over and they were being dismissed for study, heck yeah!

Chiro sat up straighter in his chair, though he wasn’t greatly thrilled by revision. When professor Carter asked about the two types of spades he didn’t bother to answer, keeping to himself. The questions kept coming and he leaned back in his seat, mentally preparing himself to tackle the rest of the semester, hopefully he would be able to get his exams done properly to get some decent grades.

Christa was glad this lesson was more of a review and she threw her hand up when they were asked about the two types of spades, "Digging and bordering." At least gardening seemed to be semi consistent per magical versus muggle education from what she could tell.

It was the last lesson of Herbology, meaning they'd have exams next week. It was sort of well so far she had quite liked Herbology so she had really nothing bad to say about it. She just took her seat and let the professor do the questioning, watching as her classmates responded to the question. On the last one she raised her hand and got to answer. "Sementis Medicates." She said thinking back to a time where Pamela was still alive, not mashed pumpkin on the floor. Nia was pretty pleased as the lesson concluded and walked her way out happily at least she wasn't absolutely hopeless at Herbology..... for now.

Revision was just code for boring, but Miles supposed it was still better than having to listen to a lecture of some kind. Slouching back in his seat, the Gryffindor certainly didn't bother raising his hand to answer any of the questions, and he didn't spend the lesson actually listening to what was going on, either. Instead, he spent most of his time daydreaming. Lessons didn't matter, anyway, he just needed to get good enough grades on his exams.
