First Valentine's

[Clementine Pratt]

Clementine was a little upset that she did not get a rose from Anthony all day. She had spent the past week organizing the rose deliveries with her best friend Teddy and she had seen her name on the list a few times but she hadn't wanted to peek because she wanted it to be a surprise when she got it, but in the end they hadn't been from her boyfriend. She tried not to be too disappointed because she was sure there was a reason for it and she would talk to him tonight at the Valentine's dance. Clementine got ready, wearing a dress with flowers because floral patterns seemed to be her favorite. She waited for him in the common room so they could walk down to the great hall together.

[Anthony Blade]

Anthony knew that Clementine wouldn't be happy that he hadn't gotten her a rose, but he had spent half of his day trying to get a surprise together for her and he smiled as he walked down to the common room after he had gotten dressed into his suit. He saw her waiting for him in the common room and just a single look was enough to take his breath away. She was beautiful, as always, and he made sure to tell her that as he approached her. "Hey, beautiful." He said, and from behind his back he produced a bouquet of 6 roses and a small corsage. Hopefully this would make things better and she wouldn't be angry at him throughout the night.

Clementine fidgeted with her dress to make sure it was smooth and when she looked up she saw Anthony approaching. She smiled at him as he greeted her and replied, "Hi!" She didn't get a chance to tell him Happy Valentine's Day as he brought out a bouquet of roses from behind his back. Clementine grinned as she exclaimed, "Anthony!" She carefully took them from him and that's when she noticed the corsage as well and beamed. "It's beautiful, they're beautiful!" she said in regards to it all. "Thank you," she said, reaching up to hug him tightly. A part of her still wondered why he hadn't given her a rose through the rose deliveries and she worried that perhaps it had to do with Teddy, who had accidentally bumped into him at the yule ball so maybe they didn't like each other, but she tried not to worry about that now. "Will you put it on for me?" she asked, holding out her hand for him to do so.
