Kasper had a hard time believing that Hilton really said yes to his invitation to go to the Yule Ball with him. He didn't know it was that easy to ask a girl to go with him, not that he had any experience inviting girls to an event like this since Kasper successfully avoided the Yule Ball for the last two years at Hogwarts. And it if wasn't for his father interfering his plans for this year, Kasper still wouldn't have any experience. For the first time Kasper was actually glad that his family sort of forced him into doing something he didn't want to do at first. Hilton was a great person to talk to and a great person to teach drawing too. Whilst quickly fixing his tie in a mirror on the stand next to his bed in the third year dormitory before he left to go the the Great Hall, Kasper told himself that tonight would be awesome. After his little peptalk he quickly walked out of the dormitory and the common room and made his way towards the Entrance Hall where he told Hilton he'd be waiting for her.

Hilton Tiwari put the finishing touches on her makeup, and she hurried down to the Great Hall. She was so excited! She could not wait to see Kasper all dressed up. Uniforms were nice and all, but it was also nice to see her peers express themselves through their own clothing. Hilton had on a mix of traditional and modern herself. She was very proud of her dress of choice. The Hufflepuff may have gotten ahead of herself and came a little too early. She had simply gotten ready too quickly. After awhile, she spotted Kasper, and she speed walked over to him and giving him a big hug. "You look so nice!" she said as she let him go. The third year didn't mean to attack the boy, and she prayed he did not feel attacked. She quickly fixed his tie that gotten messed up when she hugged him. Hilton held out her hand in hopes Kasper would take it. "Are you ready?" she asked with a huge grin on her face.

With his hands in the pockets of his trouser, Kasper walked down the stairs and into a crowd, keeping his eyes open in case he caught a glimpse of Hilton amongst the flock of younger and older students. He had been wondering what she'd be wearing all evening for a reason he couldn't yet explain to himself, but knowing that it was tradition to wear something more formal than usual, Hilton would probably look really nice. Kasper was startled by the sudden hug that was given to him by his date for the Yule Ball and hugged her also. With a smile on his face, and his cheeks slowly changing their colours, the Hufflepuff said, ''You look really nice as well!'' while his eyes slowly scanned her outfit. He felt guilty seeing how much work she had put into her outfit and how little he had done. His suit was even a bit overseized for Merlin's sake! Hopefully Hilton wouldn't mind it. ''I am.'' Kasper stated happily at his date as he gently took ahold of her hand.

Hilton smiled at Kasper's compliment. "I was so exited to see you that I came here before the doors had even opened!" she told him happily. As soon as Kasper took Hilton's hand, she pulled him into the Great Hall and straight for the dance floor. She loved dancing! Singing and dancing was one of her favorite ways to pass time, even if it drove her father and brothers crazy at times. "Do you dance?" she asked as she began to move to the rhythm of the upbeat music. Hilton could be more than a tad overbearing sometimes, so she hoped that Kasper would let her know if he ever got uncomfortable. She was always willing to reduce her newfound independence.

A chuckle escaped the boy's lips whilst smiling at how happy she seemed. Seeing how happy Hilton told him that she got here early out of excitement made him feel guilty for not preparing faster. ''How long did you have wait exactly?'' Kasper asked her as she pulled him into the Great Hall and to the dance floor. He didn't really know how to dance properly but knew just enough to don't look like someone who couldn't dance at all. ''A little bit.'' The Hufflepuff boy told her with a nervous smile on his clean looking face. ''You can teach me if you want?'' He said with a smile.
