Joceline couldn't help but be above eager for Ivan to come over to her house during the winter break, not that he hadn't been here before but she had invited him and not Aiden, in fact she wasn't certain if the two were even talking after the large mess that was created by the way she and Ivan met each other. But, in order to keep herself calm she was laying down on the floor in one of her living rooms, on her stomach watching the television, ignoring her annoying half-sister Giselle as best as she could. That girl seemed to get more and more annoying over time and would not be looking forward to her entry at Hogwarts New Zealand, because she Daddy's Little Princess would not be sent to Durmstrang.

As a commercial came on, Joceline hopped up and got a glass of water from her large kitchen, pulling herself to her height of now five feet four, having grown about five or so inches since the beginning of second semester last year, and was now beginning on an extreme growth spurt so her legs were longer and more gangly in her jeans.

Ivan was, to say the least, surprised by Joce's last, or rather second last letter to him, requesting he came to stay with her for a while during the holidays. What surprised him even more was his immediate 'yes' (or as immediate as you could get with owls.) It wasn't so much out of want to see Joce again, even though that played a small part with his decision, but he couldn't bare to spend another holiday with his 'family.' They were far too happy and positive, but he was quite happy to see he had dampened his 'brothers' spirits by the end of the holiday.

There was a part of him that made him not want to come, Aiden, he had looked up to Aiden a lot in his two years at Durmstrang but after the last time he was in New Zealand the two hadn't spoken much at all. Ivan wasn't upset or angry with this, actually after a while he didn't care, he and Aiden got seperate dorms, they weren't in the same year so they didn't have to worry about bumping into each other during class. To be quite honest Ivan enjoyed not having Aiden breathing now his neck all the time, he had more 'conquests' in his last semester so all was good.

But to spend a period of time in the same house as him might be a bit hard to get used to as the two ex-friends hadn't spoken in months. He wasn't sure how Aiden would be feeling after the period of time that the two hadn't talked, but he wouldn't be Aiden if he didn't try to start something. But Ivan could stand up for himself, surprisingly he had started to get better in his classes, it probably had to do with wanting to impress Joce after she talked of her grades, but he wasn't going to admit that. Finally arriving at the address he made his way up the drive, cutting over the grass and knocked a few times on the door, letting his duffle bag fall of his shoulder.

Joceline felt her insides form excited butterflies when she heard raps on the front door. She had asked Afra, the House Elf to let her answer the door today, so she rushed over to the front door eagerly. She opened the door and the girl's vibrant blue eyes grew happier and she flung her arms around Ivan Petrov excitedly. "Ivan!" she chirped, pulling away slightly to see her friend she no longer compared to Thomas Smith because she could care less about Thomas and his disturbing ways.

"How are you? Hope it wasn't too much trouble getting here from Nelson," Joceline commented, with a happy smile, her hot cheeks going unnoticed by her because of her excitement in seeing her Durmstrang friend.

Ivan waited for someone to answer the door and was surprised how quickly he heard someone at the other side of the door. Lifting his back again he lifted his head to see Joceline. A smile formed on his lips as he felt her arms going around him. He wasn't used to much contact especially at this extent so the sudden embrace made him tense up but he returned the hug nonetheless. "Hey Joceline." he said when she pulled away.

"I'm well, and yourself?" he asked in return. It felt so weird talking to Joceline again. After so long, only corresponding via letter, hearing her talk was strange. "Oh no problem at all, a little side-apparation, no biggy." he said with a shrug.

Joceline smiled at Ivan, almost amazed at his presence before her, although she really shouldn't be. Their constant communication through owls was good and familiar but seeing Ivan face to face was completely different and she was amused at how her memory contorted his features, even though his twin's had once been embedded in her mind.

Joce had been tempted to kiss his cheeks as she had done all the time in France but she didn't wish Ivan to get the wrong opinion of her. So she just smiled warmly at him and said, "I'm just great." She moved out of Ivan's way so he could walk in and she said gently, "Please do come in." With her French accent her words tended to sound more regal and lady-like, and even more so when she was being exceedingly polite to someone.
