Jean wasn't exactly sure why he'd agreed to this, perhaps to keep himself busy and not thinking so much or perhaps to avoid doing other things. Either way, he'd found himself with a bunch of flowers and a list of people to deliver them to. He headed to the Hufflepuff table eager to knock one name off of the list. He knew the surname and figured this kid was related to Isaiah. With a knock on the table to get everyone's attention, Jean spoke. "Which one of you is Xavier Jeffreys?"

Xavier was chatting with his friends until a loud knocking on the hufflepuff table roused his attention. He looked up to the person speaking, raising his hand when they were asking his whereabouts. "I'm Xavier." He answered, perplexed as to why they were asking about him, of all the other people in hufflepuff. He failed to notice the amount of roses the older student was holding.

"Ok, hey" Jean greeted the Hufflepuff, glad he'd found him right away. He had a lot of deliveries to do. Rummaging through, Jean found his yellow rose and handed it over. "This is for you. Want me to read your message to you or...?" Jean asked as he went through the parchments to find the one for Xavier.

Xavier smiled as he eventually noticed the roses the older student was carrying. His smile widened when he realized one of the roses was for him. "Thank you!" He exclaimed as he carefully took the rose, careful not to prick his fingers on the thorns. "You can just hand it to me if it's easier?" He then said, not sure of how to go about receiving the note as the rose was enough to catch him off guard. Xavier wondered who it was from and why they chose to send him one in the first place. He figured they must have been a very kind and thoughtful person.

"Sure thing" Jean stated as he handed over the one marked with Xavier's name. He still wasn't terribly organized, so he hadn't peeked at this message, though he certainly planned to with some of them. He had a few for professors!
Dear Xavier Jefferies,

Happy Valentines Day, X-man!

Signed
Marzen Svajone
Waiting a beat to see the guy's reaction, Jean figured it was time to go. "Have a good day, Xavier" he added as he organized the bucket so he could be off. He glanced over to where he'd last spotted his sister, but there were far too many people around.

The note Xavier received was from his good friend, Marzen. It brought a wide smile to his face and even brought out a little giggle at the other boy's use of his nickname. Xavier didn't understand the reference behind it, but he loved it all the same and was glad that he received a rose from his friend. He looked up towards the older student, thanking them again before he also wished for them to have a good day. Xavier's had started on a positive note and he was sure the rest of his day would be amazing!
