Zeke had been at boarding school a few days, and already he was beginning to suspect that every family member who’d hyped this place up as some kind of huge magical dreamland might have been overselling it somewhat. Sure, the castle was huge and magical, but it was also cold in the mornings, annoying to navigate, and most disappointingly, his twin had been sorted into a different house as him. At first Zeke hadn't minded because he was sure he would still see Zion all the time, but as it turned out he hardly ever saw him except for during a couple of lessons and mealtimes, if he was lucky. He hadn’t been prepared for how weird it would feel not having his twin around at night the most, and that he'd find it hard to sleep. Slytherin was fine, he supposed, but it felt a bit off without Zion and quite lonely.
Deciding to check in on his brother one evening before curfew, Zeke headed up to the fourth floor in search of the Hufflepuff common room. He wasn’t exactly sure where he was going, but he kept his eye out for anything badger related that might hint of a common room, or even some Hufflepuff students to follow would be ideal. The hallway was quiet but he kept on walking in the hope he'd find his way to his brother.
