Lex walked through the rapidly cooling streets of london in a somewhat sour mood. He hadn't had a job in a while, and that only meant one thing, it was time to check in on The Immolator. Normally he'd look forward to meeting up with his old drinking buddy, but today the thought left him apprehensive and uncomfortable. He wasn't quite sure why. The Immolator had been going a little more off onto the crazy end of things lately, but Lex was used to that.

Maybe it wasn't Wilheim at all, maybe it was the fact that he'd read the papers and seen something he always knew he would, but was hoping not to have to deal with.

The Crimson killer had struck again. Jeffrey Ledger. His old enemy. He had only recently recovered from the mental strain hunting him for several years had put him under... He had finally moved on from the obsession, and here it was again, dragging him back in. He sighed and lost focus on the road, not paying attention to where he was walking.

It was that normal autumn day when Maddiie felt being in London was the place to be out of all times. She didn't question this six sense of hers, she just went were the wind guide her. Apparating right in front of her old childhood town house, were the old wrecked for sale sign creaked at her appearances, No one bought the place? It figures she thought. Her eyes fixing to look inside, old sheets and plastic cover the furniture nearby the windows. Warkwick seemed hopeless to be sold, who would've bought the house that her mother died in anyways? Or so her father told her years ago. She still didn't believe that her mother had suddenly died from a muggel's sickness. She withdrew from the windows walking away from the place. If she had the truth, perhaps things will fall into place.
Just like her marriage, her mother's death been a mystery. Maddiie walked away from her old phone, she walked along the cracked walkways, that's when her shoes cracked. The old heel gave her away, a second later she tremble forward against a very tall man. Practically falling into his arms, hitting her head somewhat hard against something. She let out a groan and apologize immediately for her clumsy ways. "Terribly sorry! My shoes" she stood up on one heel, the shoes still broken. She bent low, and quickly repaired the shoes brand new again with a charm. "That should do it!". Regaining her balance after using the repairo charm,Maddiie realized who she just bump into at the very least moment. "Lex? Is that youu?"she voice seeing someone from the past just bumped into out of nowhere. "I must be mistaken.." she study the man up and down. It had to be the man she hired at some point in her life.

Reeled as he was slammed into, a young woman falling into his arms. He looked down, raising an eyebrow curiously. She blurted something about her shoes.

"Yeah yeah, it's no trouble." he said, something nagging as he watched her repair her shoes. Something about the curl to her hair, her eyes... He knew it was something...

An old client?

Naaaah, couldn't be.

"Lex? Is that you?"

Lex stared at her. It clicked.

"Holy hells... Maddiie? Maddiie Stewart?" He asked, a grin on his face. "Well look at you!"

Stewart? Oh right I used my grandmother maiden name by than... she rolled her eyes forgetting why she used Stewart in the first place. "Yes its me! From well all over the place.." she expressed annoyed that London had been her home since she were a child. And now it seems like she couldn't stay in one place any longer than a year. "I know, look at you! You seem okay? How's the business?" she found herself staring at him. It was pretty chilled out today, the pea coat she were wearing stayed on her snuggly the entire time. "You out here scouting for new cases?" she quesion the rugged man.

He shrugged. "Not really. Mostly just wastin' time." He looked at her... There was something he wanted to tell her, he couldn't remember what it was. He thought back to when he'd taken her case.
What had it been? Looking into her husbands... personal life. He thought harder about it.

And then he remembered.

Oh sh**.

"Hey, did you wanna grab a coffee or something?" he said, trying to find a reason to get her alone so he could tell her.

"Good excuse for any time of the day.." she nodded casually pulling a string of hair away from her view. The lengthy woman stood with her legs crossed a little, almost in a posing away meaning nothing to the way she felt right now. "Yeah that sounds good there's a coffee just around the corner here..." she suggested now curious why he wanted to have a drink. "there's something wrong Lex? Usually when one offer a drink there's always a catch" she pointed it out for him to notice. Or maybe just her?!
