Libby wore her new clothes and black shorts, as she walked around the small muggle village. The only family member she'd seen in weeks was her older brother, Tobias, and even he was out on the streets drinking most nights. Libby was soon to become of age, and knew how to look after herself. She had had to put away her wizarding materials as anyone who caught her with them would have suspected something. After all the dissapearings in this town recently, Libby didn't want to become a suspect.

She had been out shopping all day, buying various new clothes and books she could take back with her to Durmstrang. She had just bought herself a portion of chips, as she leant on the railings over-looking a river. The air was still warm, although the sun was begining to go down, and Libby thought about how easy it would be to just stay out all night

It may have been one of the first questions that someone would have asked- that of the reason why this young man from the United Kingdom was in a place to which he had no connection. In truth, Alex didn't know, either, so it was rather fortunate that no-one felt the need to ask, not even when he purchased a lidded foam cup of hot chocolate and spoke in English with his mild scottish accent, unhidden. Alex spent the next ten minutes wandering around, looking in the windows of each shop he passed, looking to the face in an attempt to identify who was who. He walked in the direction of the river, noticing a girl standing alone against some railings. Alex decided to join her.

He approached the girl with very little care, appearing beside her, looking out over the river, before turning around to watch as most of the people seemingly melted into the pub as the evening set in. If Alex hadn't been wearing a heavy bikers jacket of his white t-shirt, which seemed to flow so well with his dark jeans, the tattoos on his arms would have been visible. He turned his head, only slightly, not truly looking at the girl, yet it was obvious that his attentions were focussed solely on her. "What's a pretty wee thing like you doing out here, alone?" It wasn't flirting, as such, more of a greeting with a bit of flattery thrown in. But that didn't make the words any less true.

Libby was aware as soon as he approached that there was a boy standing next to her. She didn't turn her head to see if she knew him, nor to encourage a convocation. She caught his compliment, and the corner of her mouth turned up as her eyes flickered in his direction. Her own tattoo on her wrist and ankle were covered up at the moment with bracelets and her shoe strap. Her fingernails were painted black and she wore red and silver rings down two fingers.

She turned round to lean back on railings herself, elbows holding her weight. She pulled down her hat further to hide her eyes more as she smiled. "Shopping. What normal people i do i suppose" she answered. She couldn't exactly tell him the whole story, that she was buying things as close to supply's for her wizarding school as she could. "and what would someone like you be doing talking to me?" she asked back, her green eyes looking straight at him for the first time, her lipstick bright red as she smiled.

Alex was not going to question the girl further as to what she had bought- he could not care less. No, what intrigued him was those eyes, that smile, the way she sat and the things she wore. It told him a lot about her, but he wanted to know more. Alex stared for a moment in pure curiosity. One side of his mouth twitched into a smile. There was a visible glint in his eyes. Something darker than the jacket he wore. He held out his hand to the girl, offering it as a form of greeting. Of course, he felt that handshakes were in poor taste when greeting a lady.. Although, he had the feeling that this 'lady' in particular, was still just a girl. Too young.

"I'm Alex," he spoke in that Scottish voice, each word as fresh as the next. "But me friends call me Jett." At this point, he gestured to the colour of his hair and of his eyes; both were jet black. He had remembered fondly of the the friends who had christened him with that name, the same two people who had got him into graffiti, drink and dark magic. A peculiar mix for any young wizard of twenty, but it was what he liked and he would change for no-one. The ink in his arms and shoulders proved that much.

"Il mio mio che cosa abbiamo qui" Libby smiled, her Italian voice making a shine. She hadn't spoken much of it as she was at Hogwarts, but now she thought, why not? "Un giovane scot" she grinned, recognising his accent. "That is right yes? You are from Scotland." she asked, her dark eyes trying to bore into his as she spoke.
When he said his name, Libby's smile only grew more. "Alex" she nodded, taking it in for a moment. "Jett" he was right in that it did suit his eyes and hair. "Piacere" she said, taking his hand and giving it a light shake. Libby couldn't wait until her birthday, she would finally be allowed to do so many things that at the moment were forbidden. "Would you like to go for a drink?" she asked him, looking around for a cafe or pub they could talk in.

Alex listened to the girl speaking in italian. He didn't really understand it. No, the only other language he had learnt, was during his years prior Hogwarts at that stupid muggle school; Latin. It had not been a fancy school, but the board had tried to push the rating up by making it seem more sophisticated. It was fortunate that he had gone further into the wizarding world, as he could understand the Latin that many wizards on the streets used to make their potions sound more fancy. Alex had mostly used the language in his graffiti, feeling that it gained more attention.

"Aye," he replied to her question, before their hands briefly clutched in a shake. Alex allowed his mind to work over her words, thinking them through as thoroughly as he could. And then, he knew what sort of person she was. Well, he supposed it would be less work for him if she was suggesting they go for a drink. Of course, Alex gave her a slight smile. "Sure," he said, curling the 'r'. He went to move, but paused for a moment, staring the girl in the eyes, drilling into her. He didn't want to buy her something strong if she was young.. He wasn't risking a brief stay in any sort of gaol. Especially Azkaban. "How old are you, exactly?"
