Larissa had stormed out of the warehouse, soaked in punch.
The winter air hit her hard like icy shards, cutting at her wet face.
She walked fast from the party, hating everyone.
Larissa began to shed tears by the dozen, her mouth staying firmly shut as black mascara dripped down her face.
She was mourning at last; Her father had died before she'd even started at school and she had not shed a tear. Now the tears came in floods down her pale cheeks.
They were hardly noticeable with all the punch soaking Larissa.
She shook with anger, cursing loudly and hitting out at anything which dared to get near her.

Adrianne stood by a small brick building.
She had her pipe in her mouth but had yet to light it.
Her demon red eyes picked up on the soaking wet blonde girl speeding past and cursing loudly.
Adrianne sighed, took the pipe from her mouth and walked to catch up with the girl.
"Larissa?" Adrianne said gently, grabbing the girl by the shoulder.
She was wearing very scruffy clothes. Adrianne's stomach was getting huge and only the baggiest clothes could hide it.
"What's the matter? Who did this to you?"
Adrianne was in fact related to this girl and knew what she wanted from life. It was pretty much the same as Adrianne.

Larissa swore as someone grabbed her shoulder.
She turned to see the gleaming red eyes she had first seen only a year before.
"Oh," Larissa tried to say calmly but her voice was wrecked. "Hello, Adrianne."
Her blue eyes then dropped to the bump Adrianne had.
It then hit her that there was to be more than one new addition to the family.
"I can breath fire." Larissa said suddenly. Her mind was in such a mess right now she did not know what to do.

Adrianne felt very motherly. Her hormones were making her care.
She did not want to care but Adrianne had no choice.
"Sh, sh, shh." She hushed Larissa, ushering her round behind the building.
"Let's get you cleaned up, shall we?"
Adrianne checked no-one was watching before she held out her wand and began drying Larissa off.
When she was finished, she blinked down at the girl.
She knew little of her past or even current life yet they were related.

Larissa let Adrianne dry her soaking clothes and hair.
Why had Larissa's life gone to shreds? Why had she let a little bit of punch affect her so badly? And why was Larissa now hugging round Adrianne's waist with tears streaming from her eyes?
She had given up all hope of ever being able to lead a happy life.
Larissa knew what Adrianne was which was why she liked her so much- She had achieved her goal to the limit she could.
But something had now stirred in Larissa's head- Dark smoke began to swell across all the golden moments, turning them to ash.
She felt her heart give a few loud thumps as she cried into Adrianne's scruffy shirt.
Then Larissa could no longer hear the thumping.
It was not in her ears anymore. It was not making it's presence known and although Larissa's heart still beat, it had fallen silent;
Grieving those Larissa had lost and burning away with hatred.

Adrianne hissed a little as Larissa cried into her clothes but she managed to shut herself up.
She was not a big fan of physical contact but she felt she owed this to Larissa.
Adrianne, having trained as a healer and now working as one, stared at the top of Larissa's head for a moment.
It had become habit for Adrianne to diagnose the people around her and she immediately began her diagnosis of Larissa.
Mental health issue.. Safe physical condition.. depression.. ah, a mental break down.
Adrianne sighed and gave Larissa a little squeeze back.
"Larissa? Larissa, look at me." She gently placed her fingers beneath Larissa's chin and turned her to face her.
"Do you want to go home? No? .. Do you want to go to St. Mungo's?" Adrianne was watching Larissa's eyes for the answers.
"No? Well.. I suppose.." Adrianne gave another deep sigh. "I suppose you could come back to my house."

Larissa nodded in agreement.
She wanted to stay with Adrianne. She seemed like a safe and comforting person but maybe that was only because of her pregnancy?
Larissa wiped at the mascara lines from her face, blurring them so much they practically disappeared.
She opened her mouth and took a deep breath, pulled a lace from her dress and tied her hair back.
Her eyes were more easily visible now. They were a dark grey color of loss.
Larissa felt empty and numb.
Now she held onto Adrianne's arm as they dissaparated.
