Trilby stepped out into the spacious entrance hall smiling at Sebastian as he walked back inside to fetch her cardigan for her. Wrapping her arms about her slender waist she smiled to herself as she slowly twirled gracefully as if dancing to the slow music that was playing earlier. She looked beautiful in her satin cream knee length dress and ballet flats, her hair all bunched up with tendrils falling loosely about her face. Her cheeks were rosey now after what had transpired between herself and Sebastian. Another secret smile graced her lips as she stopped moving and simply stood there, waiting patiently for him and daydreaming happily with no thoughts of Xavier interrupting her thoughts for a change.

Tonight brought a displeasure to Link hunting mood. He swear if he heard the music blaring from the Yule Ball, that he would possibly plot a massacre. But for some reason he didn't have that sort of energy to waste tonight, instead he laze around the school grounds. Smoking up already two cigarettes, by the third one he tossed it over towards the ground and proceed to lean up against the wall instead of drifting all around the school grounds. He had no reason to go inside, not even to torture the girl he probably hate but didn't care to even bother to remember her name anymore. When his eyes were fully focus on the ground ready to apparate to some random town, when his eyes settle on the girl who was crying the other day. "I see your not crying tonight" he said with a cunning smirk. At least his entertainment arrived at the peak of time, he was ready to toy with this girl without even trying.

Trilby turned slightly startled out of her reverie to look at the boy who had spoken. It took her a few moments to recognise him as the boy from the second task at the triwizard tournament but when she did, she merely smiled at him. He hadn't exactly been kind or worth warming too that day and as she looked at the grin he gave her, she knew he certainly wasn't that type of person, maybe ever. Well at any moment Sebastian would be back with her cardigan so it really didn't bother her what the boy said to her or not.

"No, I have no reason to cry tonight" she told him unable to contain the smile in her voice or on her face, "I have no reason too at all."

"Oh is that so?"he said rather in a humorous tune. "No reason at all?" he would give her a reason if he wanted to. Tonight though he play nice, just like his old regular flirtatious self. He could give her a reason for something else, maybe he wonder but instead of running the plan in the back of his mind he just went with the flow. He move closer with his hand in his pockets, rambling between the cloths that held them knit together."But than I see you don't have a date..." he question curiously have not seen her come out with anyone but herself. But than it hit him like anything else, a boy has brought a smile on her alluring features. There was no doubt that girl was pretty, that's what made him stop that day when he saw her crying. There was something about her eyes that turn him on the most, when she cried it resemble water colors. Phase and liquidize, Link had been paying attention more than she thought. "Sure he's not in there with another girl..." he accuse with a serious tone, he was making assumption to start some kind of mayhem.

She couldn't help but smile brightly at the strange boy, shaking her head lightly as she did so.
"No reason at all, I am sure saying it three times constitutes that it is so" she smiled turning to glance at the door of the Grande Salle and hoping that Sebastian would hurry back to her soon. Now that they were finally going to sort things out, she simply wanted to get on with the happy tingling feeling that seemed to have blossomed within her from just dancing with him.

As the stranger spoke once more she turned back to face him, he had moved closer in the brief time she had looked away as if he walked on silent feet.
"I did not come with a date" she told him honestly, "but I am..." she did not finish as he accused Sebastian of being inside with another girl. Trilby could only smile once more, secure in the knowledge that Sebastian would not be with any other girl now. Unless... the thought of Clemence did come to mind but Trilby had not seen that Alexius and Clemence had already left. The sliver of doubt remained and all because her ex-boyfriend she was sure had broken with her to be with another girl.

"He has only gone to get my cardigan" she told him then, looking up into his face all traces of a smile gone as her steady gaze met his.

With Trilby's cardigan gripped in his left hand, Sebastian reached the door of the Grand Salle. He smiled as he opened the door knowing that there was nothing that could put a damper on his mood. Finally, after all this time, it seemed that he and Trilby were revealing how they felt for each other. He cared a great deal about Trilby, and had for a long time.

A part of Sebastian was still nervous though. It all seemed too good to be true and he wondered whether Trilby was maybe still dealing with her breakup with Xavier and using him to rebound. He hoped desperately that it wasn't the case because he knew he'd be devestated if that turned out to be the case. Back when he had first sort of admitted to liking Trilby, he'd been thrilled that they'd opened up their hearts and their bodies to each other, even though he knew that they shouldn't have gone so far. The aftermath, however, had been enormously upsetting especially when Sebastian thought he had lost Trilby's friendship forever.

Trying not to dampen his spirits too much, Sebastian berated himself. Stop thinking about that. he thought as he looked around for Trilby. There were several other people in the hall, couples who were looking for a private spot and other assorted people either heading to their rooms or elsewhere in the castle. As he stepped toward Trilby, Sebastian realized that she was talking to someone who he recognized as one of the Hogwarts students. He reached them in time to hear Trilby say that he'd gone to get her cardigan.

"Here it is" he said as he stepped to Trilby's side and handed the cardigan over. Sebastian gave Trilby a quick glance and quirked his eyebrow as if to ask who this was before glancing over at the guy. Something about her body language made him feel uneasy and he wondered what the two had been talking about. Sebastian placed his arm protectively around Trilby's shoulder. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Sebastian" he announced a little warily as he held his hand out. He hoped that whatever conversation the pair had been having was finished so that they could get going.

Link turn his eyes narrow at the boy who had interrupted him and girl from their conversation. "Didn't you mother ever taught you some manners? When you see two people talking you just don't approach them at your will" Link spat with distaste in his mouth. What he hated the most when others barge in when they are not needed, he became so angry and was about ready to wail on the moron. He held his breath still, his fingers curl into tight fits. Already irritated he step forward and threw a right hook to the boys mouth piece. He put enough force to knock him out to the ground, if it connected it would just black him out for a little, so that Link can go on to what he was aiming for tonight. His intention for one; for the hook to land, and than get back to questioning the girl.

( xD I know its lame but Rossi came to early )

((Sorry :shy: ))

The Beauxbatons boy could feel his good mood disappearing quickly. It was a shame really because until this moment, he had been living one of the happiest moments of his life. Sebastian's pierced eyebrow rose quickly as he listened to the guy speak. Who is this guy? he questioned silently and turned to Trilby a confused expression that was clearly asking her whether this guy was serious or not. His earlier feelings of unease increased steadily but even so he didn't think that the guy would do anything.

Out of the corner of his eye, Sebastian saw the guy step forward and instinctively he pushed Trilby to the side. He'd worry about any consequences from that later. The time it took him to do that cost him though and as he turned her face and opened his mouth to say something, he caught a hook to the chin. Sebastian immediately saw stars and felt his body falling to the ground almost as if it were happening to someone else.

Not fully knocked out, Sebastian struggled to get to his feet, embarassed that Trilby was watching him get his a$$ handed to him. Feeling his mouth with one hand where a thin trickle of blood was escaping, Sebastian used his other hand to blindly grab for the wall and pull himself up. Still seeing stars and with his vision fuzzy, Sebastian growled out "What the hell was that for?" He couldn't bring himself to look in Trilby's direction even as his vision began to clear, not wanting to see her reaction. Sebastian was ashamed that he had been punched in front of her.

((I won't be on the rest of the day so I thought I should post. Feel free to godmod me [within reason ;) ] if you need to))

Trilby was relieved when Sebastian came back but looked bewildered at the older boy when he spoke. It was not as if they both knew one another and it certainly hadn't been a huge whopper of a conversation that they were having. She would have spoken up and said so but suddenly Sebastian was shoving her aside as the Hogwarts student stepped forward. If he hadn't done so she might have gotten struck too, she had only stumbled a few steps away and now that her balance was put to rights again Trilby went into complete prefect mode.

Her wand was out and in her hand before either boy could blink and she was holding it up to the strange boy having taken a step closer to him and looking quite possibly for the first time in her entire life, somewhat threatening, even in her beautiful evening dress.
"Our talk is now over, if you don't apologize to Sebastian then leave but I will be reporting you to your school" she told him, her hazel eyes did not leave him once. As concerned as she was for Sebastian, she wanted this imbecile to leave first before she showed any.

(Will abort topic if it ends up screwy)

Link mumble pathetic, the boy falling back so easily towards his actions. Link hadn't use enough force as he brought himself to believe for the idiot was still talking. He turn his grey iris at the girl who was pointing her wand at Link. His eyes became sadistic, as he took a step forward. One word, and all it took for him to mumble a silencio charm for her to even attack him. His eyes was holding lust for the girl so degrading even for him to imagine what he was thinking. He reach for her wand and drop it besides him, since there was no use for it anymore in her case. He took another step forward grabbing the girl before she scream and took her into a full tramatizing kiss. He didn't let her go, knew she would struggle. But Link kiss her, all that he wanted for tonight. However it didn't hold any meanings, he let her go when he was done. His eyes cold, his lips creep into a smirk, only to slide back down to a serious expression. "Go help your pathetic boyfriend wasn't worth the fuss" he started to walk away laughing.

(how do you mean.. screwy in that you godmoded my character xD )

Trilby was horrified when he cast the spell on her, she had only raised her wand to threaten him but never would she have used it on another student. Not unless they were in the dueling chamber at least. Her free hand went to her throat, clutching at it as if this would bring her voice back. Though knowing the spell to break the incantation she could not as yet perform non verbal magic though she was a dinger at basic wandless incantations. About to look to Sebastian for help she was even more horrified when the strange boy was upon her lowering her wand then removing it from her hand to cast it to the ground. Her eyes held nothing but fear for what she saw in his own, it was only seconds that had passed and yet she felt as if an eternity seemed to be playing their situation out in slow motion.

He grabbed her too him and his mouth crashed down on hers. She squirmed and struggled in his grasp as his mouth moved over hers until finally he broke apart, tossed a parting shot at her and then walked away. Trilby could no more move to Sebastian to help him than she could to help herself. She was shaking violently as a tear slid down her cheek. She knew it was only a kiss and yet she felt so violated by it, she had never felt so helpless in all her life.

As Sebastian heard Trilby's voice, he became horrified. Not only did he just get nearly knocked out by a random guy who he didn't know from one of the other schools, but his girl friend was now defending him. Sebastian pushed off the wall and wished that he actually had been knocked out. Thankfully, the rest of the hall was empty so there was no one else around witnessing this embarassing scene.

When Sebastian finally turned his head to face Trilby, it was to see the Hogwarts guy pulling her to him and kissing him. Sebastian shook his head, figuring that he was still groggy from the hit because surely Trilby wasn't kissing this guy in front of him. "You son of a b****" he spat out as the guy walked away laughing, not before taking one final parting shot at his pride.

Swiping at his lip again, which was still bleeding, Sebastian made his way over to Trilby who was crying now. She looked terrified at what had happened and Sebastian felt his mortification grow. He blamed himself for her crying because if he would have done a better job of protecting her, none of this would have happened.

"Trilby...I'm so, so sorry. I..." failed you. Sebastian reached up to put his hands on her shoulders to steady her as he looked into her face. "You shouldn't have said anything to him. I would've been fine. How do you even know that guy?" he asked sounded more annoyed then he intended to. Even though he knew he should, Sebastian couldn't bring himself to thank Trilby for trying to protect him because he was still fighting his feelings of shame.

Sebastian came and held her, granted at arms length but still he held her and she was ready to simply fall into his arms and stay there when he sounded so accusatory. Trilby stared at him in shock, stepping back at bending to pick up her wand. She would have indicted her voice to him that she couldn't speak but it didn't seem to bother him in the slightest. He had heard the spell as she had, surely he knew she couldn't talk to him, couldn't explain that she didn't know the guy at all.

Unable to rid herself of the incantation that was on her she knew there was no point in trying to get Sebastian to do it, he sounded so disgruntled that she had tried to help him at all but what had he expected from her, to just simply stand by and watch him get hurt?

With another sob she turned and began to walk away.

As Trilby walked away from him crying, Sebastian let out a groan. Not again he thought to himself as he stood watching for a second before heading towards her. It seemed that every conversation he had with a girl lately ended in the girl running away from him in tears. What was especially odd about this time was that Trilby hadn't said not one word to him. She usually wasn't one to hold back anything for him. Wondering why she hadn't even bothered to say anything to him, Sebastian thought back to something he'd heard as he was getting up off the floor. He'd heard a muttered silencio spell and realized that she must have been silenced.

Cursing silently, Sebastian whipped out his wand and muttered "finite" as he headed towards her. Reaching his other hand to grip her shoulder, Sebastian pushed his wand back into his pocket. "No you don't. C'mon Tril...you can't keep walking away from me like this" he pleaded, wondering why things had gone from being picture perfect to this in close to no time at all.

As she took a few steps away she felt herself being hit with an incantation while a moment later Sebastian was turning her around by her shoulder. She looked at him carefully and opened her mouth slowly, hesitating to form words but what else other than a retraction of the spell would he have hit her with?
"I .. I was" she smiled slowly at the discovery of her voice again, "I was going to the nurses station to get her to reverse the spell but thank you. See how easy that is Sebastian, to say thank you. There I did it again. Thank you, merci, grazie, Xièxiè nín, Спасибо, gracias it's pretty easy in many languages don't you think?"

She was angry with him and felt she was justified in this anger.
"He punched you what did you expect me to do? To stand by and watch you get hit again or to have you strike him? I met him once before... after you left me at the second task he came over making fun of me because I was cry... crying. Does that answer all your questions now?" Trilby glared at him as they stood before one another, she had been terrified of that other boy but for her friendship with Sebastian, for him she would have stood up to him again and again.
"Do... do you know what you're problem is... you're a male chauvinist.. you don't like it when a girl tries to help.. you ..." she seemed to be completely wound up with no intention of stopping any time soon.

When Sebastian heard Trilby speak, a small part of him wished that he had simply allowed her to walk away. It was obvious from the moment she began to speak that she was about to lay into him for whatever he'd said that had upset her. He got the point quickly that he probably should have thanked her straight away for what she'd done for him and he looked down at his feet as her anger continued to grow. "Thanks" he mumbled as he scuffed his dress shoes against the floor, feeling even more foolish now (if that were possible) than he had when he'd fallen on the floor from the Hogwarts student's punch.

Sebastian looked up sharply as she called him a chauvinist. He didn't exactly know what the word meant, but he knew that it didn't sound like a good thing to be, especially from how she said it. "What? But...I should've...not you" he spluttered, not making any sense. Shaking his head, Sebastian tried to gather his thoughts before speaking again. "Tril...that's not true. I let you help me all the time, just this...this was different" he added lamely, realizing then that there was absolutely nothing different about it. He wasn't about to admit it out loud though.

"Forget it...I'm going to bed. Merry Christmas Trilby." Sebastian said sullenly, feeling that this was certainly not the way he expected his evening to end. He didn't want to continue this as it would likely turn into a huge argument if it went on much longer, so he turned around slowly and began to walk away.

She listened to him and still she stood incredulous at his words. Did it really matter all that much that she had come to his aid? What did he want to be some stupid hero for her? Well that wasn't what she wanted at all and she would have said as much but he chose to leave this time. Trilby watched him begin to walk away and took a deep breath. With as much effort as her pride would allow in this case she stomped her foot.

"That's it? That's all you're going to say?" it was her turn now to walk up to him, she didn't grab him by the shoulder or arm or anything but rather stood in front of him to bar his way.
"I help you with your school work or I used too. Of late it has been Clemence not me. You have helped me plenty of times, it is not always something grand and elaborate but simple everyday things" she raised a hand up and gently touched his right cheek with her palm as she looked at him.

"If it had been the other way around I would have been happy for you to have helped me out back there. Don't ... don't walk away... please".

Sebastian heard Trilby stomp behind him and couldn't help the small smile that it put on his face. It was an amusing trait of hers, but as she stepped in front of him stopping his attempts to leave, the smile left his face. He crossed his arms across his chest as he listened to her. When she lifted her hand, somehow he knew that she did not mean to slap him, so he did not flinch but instead allowed her to touch his cheek. It was a comforting touch, one that made him want to make everything ok between them.

He lifted his hand to touch hers and bring it away from his cheek and down in front of both of them. He looked down at their hands linked together, liking how it felt. He sighed as he looked back up into her hazel eyes. "I'm sorry...I just hate us being mad at each other. You're right" he murmured. "I guess I should be grateful you're a prefect and the best witch of our year, right?" he asked the faint hint of a smile appearing on his face.

Trilby watched in stunned silence as he took her hand and held it, she hadn't held another boys hand since Xavier yet Sebastian and she used to do this all the time. A small smile graced her features as she looked at him.
"I hate us being mad with one another as well. Especially when there is no need to be. If you remember that your best friend is always right then there is never any need for us to get mad again" she told him with a broad grin forming on her beautiful face. It had completely escaped her attention that sprigs of mistletoe were hovering with abandon now over the pair of them, it was charmed to move to any couple standing close and at that particular moment it seemed to be bouncing up and down as it hovered in order to get their attention.

"You should be most grateful for all those reasons and that I am your best friend" she smiled again, not noticing either that she had taken a small tentative step closer to him as she spoke.

"Is that all it takes? I'll try to keep that in mind then" Sebastian said with a low chuckle. He'd heard from the other guys in his dorm room that ladies always wanted to be right, but he'd never known how true it was until this very moment. Glancing up towards the ceiling as he shook his head, Sebastian was startled to see that there was some mistletoe hovering over them.

He heard her next words from a bit of a daze, but smiled nonetheless. When he looked back down, Sebastian was surprised but pleased to see that Trilby had moved a bit closer to him. "Uh...Tril?" he said, gesturing with his head to the little dark green sprigs that were moving above them, bouncing urgently as if it wanted to see less talking and more kissing. "It's mistletoe. No need to break tradition and I know how much you like to stick to the rules and all of that, so..." he began as he smirked and gave her hand a little squeeze. He moved another step closer nothing but a smile in his green eyes. Leaning down, Sebastian closed his eyes as he bridged the small gap between them to plant a kiss on her lips. It was the rule after all, and Sebastian being such a follower of the rules surely wouldn't want to do anything to go against them, especially not this one which was so steeped in tradition.

She chuckled lightly along with him glancing upwards as he indicated for her to do so. Above their heads was the most beautiful and lush sprig of mistletoe she had ever seen. In side the hall she had smiled at how the sprigs had moved themselves around the ceiling to hover over any one that appeared to be a couple and now it would seem that this particular sprig had itself convinced that Sebastian and Trilby were just that. She glanced back at Sebastian who had begun to speak about tradition and her penchant for rules. Her hand experienced the slightest of squeezes from him before he took a step closer to her.

It seemed inevitable that his head would lower towards hers and as he did so, his eyes fluttered closed. Trilby knew for certain that he was going to kiss her then, the milliseconds all of this took seemed much longer in her mind. As his lips connected with hers she remembered the sensation from so long ago and though at first she was not sure if this was what she wanted, as thoughts of Xavier swarmed her for a moment. She pushed those treacherous thoughts aside, she would get over him and Sebastian would be the one to make sure of that. With that thought her lips opened up to his and Trilby thought no more of her exboyfriend but of the boy standing before her now.
